There are 2 kind of experts that they bring in this show. Business owners and museum managers/workers. None of the museum related workers will ever price a piece. It's not ethical to put a price to a piece that should be in a museum for public display and not in private hands. But since that's not realistic at all, they can at least assure the authenticity of the piece and give a bit of knowledge of its history. Rebbeca, the toy shop owners and other experts, are business owners and they sell and auction stuff, they are not in the historical/museum environment. SO they are open to talk prices and appraise pieces for the pawn shop.
In his eyes a lot of things don't have a monetary value and should be in museums and in some ways with certain things he's correct but so long as they're owned by people most won't part ways with something that valuable for free.

I'll never understand people who claim to be collectors, but are trying to sell stuff that would be considered the "Holy Grail" of their respective collection
