In this video, I'm going to show you how to build a house in Mexico on a $20 000 budget. If you're planning on building a house in Mexico, then this is the video for you!
In this first chapter of the video series, I'll show you how to find a property in Mexico and how to price it correctly. I won't know until I try, but I'm sure I can build a house on a $20 000 budget in Mexico! Subscribe now to find out how it goes!
    .
Thinking about moving to Mexico and or building a home in Mexico? I built a tiny house, on a tiny budget, in the Baja. In this video, as well as more to come, I can and will tell you how you can do it too.
Most sources will tell you to expect to pay $75 - $150/sq ft to build in Mexico, but I'm doing it for roughly $35/sq ft. The video describes how.
Thank you for checking out my video, please subscribe to the channel to stay connected. Cheers!

This was so great! I really like your ideas that are unique but they have and are working! Awesome!
I love that you found your builder through working with him on other smaller jobs and grew a solid friendship and trust in him to be the one for this amazing job now of building your house. I love that .
Also freaking fantastic that you are in there every day so you are an integral part of your own house and yes, can and have made changes already along the way! I love that.
The footage of you leveling the land heavy grunt work with hurricane Olif watch then did hit! What?!
The house is looking just so great and I can't wait for more and also the stories you can share when your house is complete. Just wow
You are awesome Veda and I'm sure the crew loves being with you and your Spanish is 50 % right on!

Well done. This video shows how talented and brave you are to start from scratch, transplanting trees and bushes. Please keep the videos coming. I am moving to mexico next year and Cabo was not on my short list. Now I am rethinking. Baja peninsula is so far removed from central mexico, so I have to figure out what I should do. On another topic, have you considered doing a joing show with 'Almost retired in Mexico''? He is based in the Baja peninsula

To be clear, I'm an hour north of Cabo, it's a whole different scene. I wouldn't necessarily recommend Cabo for your short list ;) It's very expensive & busy. It's a thriving city. Great to visit, maybe not to live, unless you love city life. 'Almost retired in Mexico' and I haven't found each other yet, but I did just finish a podcast with AdventureFreaksss which should be on line within a month or so, talkling about Baja life ect..

I'm 60 and you need a retirement plan. I am now discovering that thankfully since I worked 40 years in Canada I will get Old Age Security and Canada Pension and it isn't very much. Less than 40 years and you only get a fraction. While you are young, you need to earn a Canadian standard of living. You are not telling the appreciation side of selling your house - I hope you squirrelled that money away in investments for your retirement. You are privelaged just by luck of being a Canadian, don't squander it.

    • @isobelyeungfuturehusband225
      @isobelyeungfuturehusband225 2 роки тому +3

A newsflash for Kevin......."investments for your retirement" doesn't mean one will have money later on, in fact millions have lost tons of cash investing. I always laugh when I hear "invest your money" like that is a guarantee you will have stacks of cash when you are old and grey. Also what in the love of hell does "earn a Canadian standard of living" mean? That could literally mean anything. And finally, what good is "planning for the future" when you are dead! We could die tomorrow, hell I feel like ending my life right now after reading your post. Live your life day by day and be happy, that's what I say! Now get out there kevin welsh and rock those 60's, live it up baby, don't squander it💪⚡☑☑

    • @BlueSkySanctuaryBaja

I work very hard for everything I have Kevin, and I am very grateful for the blessings of this life. Choosing to sell my house and create what I have in Mexico IS my retirement AND investment plan. Inflation is going to drown thousands of Canadians financially. Having a house that's paid for and land where I can grow my own food is the best retirement plan for me. In this day & age we need to learn to respect one another's differences, choices & ultimately personal freedom. Also I'm 47 years old, I'm not a child who's made haphazard, irresponsible decisions. My neighbour here in Mexico bought his land & house for $60 000US 15 years ago. He sold it a few months ago for $260 000US. I believe I have invested my hard earned money wisely.

@@isobelyeungfuturehusband225 why bother? I expect the dollar will crash, I expect I will get hit by a bus... accumulate equity - what ever for? Canadian standard: a Canadian's income is 3 times Mexican. Thankfully I have a small amount of equity, and I intend to enjoy burning through it all, in my retirement... without a care in the world, eating tacos and sipping margaritas in Puerto Vallarta of course. I had to work, but I enjoyed my occupation, and my family, and I don't have a high salary by Canadian standard, but praise to God, I know I won't be dreadfully poor in my old age.
