Great video Adam. 5 years ago i used URL Shortener links to advertise my products but not anymore people are getting smarter they don't like clicking at any unknown links anymore.

Hi Adam, just stumbled across your video after doing a search on PrettyLinks. My issue is that the Prettylink I have created doesn't appear to be 'sticking' re the target URL. By this my affiliate address is still visible - even using the permanent link setting. Any ideas?
It sounds like you want to mask the affiliate link and this is an option in the paid version of pretty links. So for each one there will be an option to have it be. a normal link or a masked link.
I probably wasn't clear; I meant the actual word category from the permalink. I read one person say you should have it, but a lot say you shouldn't, and most websites remove it. My url is long, so it makes it look clunky. I'd rather just have /sports, than /category/sports. Most people should know that could be a category page anyways.

Yea people are getting smart because of all the bad folks out there and abuse things. It's best to have it tied to your domain exactly how I do it.

Great video, Adam. I, myself, am using Simple Click Tracker and it does a pretty good job! It also has options for funnels and split links :)
