Content Model is one of the more popular terms used to describe custom content types and taxonomies outside of WordPress. Collections is another one, we're just not used to hearing it in the WP world. And I agree, content modeling should be fast-tracked to core.

Content Model is WP finally catching up to what Drupal CMS has offered in core since heck - about 20 years ago? Except its still not in core! FWIW, unlike Qury Loop (or 'anything loop') I'm cool wiith the name actually - I think its reasonably intuitive for users. Talking of which, as you've shown, the UI finally getting progressive disclosure design patterns is a step in the right direction. But Content Model being 'core adjacent' is at least somewhat encouraging in what is otherwise a nightmare month for the WP community - so thanks heaps for showing a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

When will WordPress have an official style guide / css framework from their admin area? This has been _the_ number one complaint when writing plugins / using WordPress. Everyone creates their own custom css for the plugin making the eco system look like a mess.
Adam, do you know if the ability to create the entire page with a zoomed out view is coming? Like in Bricks, how we can set the canvas to 70% and use the builder as normal
I am not sure that renaming the query loop to something else would be better. I like the fact that it describes almost exactly what is happening. You are building a query to extract records from the database. What's not to lake about that?
Think of it like building a house. "Query Loop" would be like describing the process of getting materials from the query. "Loop Builder" is about taking those materials and constructing a beautiful and functional home. Both are important, but the latter focuses on the end result and the user's perspective.
@@WPCrafter IMHO It is more like building multiple houses and the query loop defines where to gather the materials/fields from the database to build each one. On another note I am really happy to see you back, you were away too long.
Thats a good question :-). I don't like how many clicks it takes to change a global style. I would prefer if there was a slide out panel, something I have been adding to all my software products.
WP is so far behind on UX best practices. Combining design WITH content management is a stupid concept….they utilize opposite sides of the brain! Design layer MUST be separated from content, or modularized via components to not impact design. CSS options should not be block level….whoever came up with that concept needs to be fired. These controls just give more opportunities for my clients to F*ck up my design with their own ugly patterns….which in turn they stop thinking about copy…resulting in an ugly….poorly optimized page…..ultimately yielding me removing it from my folio. I’m in the process of moving away from WP, especially due to their latest funding fiasco. It probably wont go anywhere anytime soon, but I’m looking into NextJS with Payload as a CMS. Built in tailwind classes are way nicer and faster to design with.

On their (slow) way to ditch ACF needs with content model. Gutenberg UI is becoming more enjoyable thanks for the video.

how t create a empty page in wordpress so that i cna only execute my pure html code in it ?
when I go to that test URL I get a warning from the Google browser that the site is not safe. Have you seen this happening?

Yea, it would need a repeater field. But that would be easy, just needs to support the list block.
Before I didn't want to ever use the block editor, after this update I've changed my mind to almost never use it.
I'm a sucker for the slick interactions/animations. But yea, lots of folks rather stick to what they are already using.
