@@fedboy601 Because once upon a time there was a young fellow technician who did exactly what Walter did and after touching the wires he died. You're asking how is that possible since he checked and there was not 240V power. Well, another green tech before that replaced the disconnect and wired it incorrectly leaving 120V to pass to the unit even with the disconnect pulled out. Sorry for the long answer but calling someone a super tech when he is giving a valuable advice that would save your life is rude.
@@angelt4186 Walt is a licensed Mechanic u don't think he knows how to check if Power is off use common sense everything he's doing we don't see in every video and furthermore it wasn't nothing wrong with what he said that is the correct way to do things its they way he said it
Simple calls like this are best. How do you like the yellow jacket digitals??
Here in Maine I replaced 5 caps just this week! Stay cool!
Replacing that many caps in a weeks time indicates a major problem,…not addressed, since you make no reference to such..,!
@@harmon1286 if you knew anything about service you would know what he was referring too .

@@lowens99643 Since when giving advice to someone especially when that advice potentially would save his life is called "hating"?

That noise is the contactor pulled in with the 24 volts not the capacitor.
I normally don't check the charge unless my delta T is not within range
That’s how I like them easy
Easy like Sunday morning!

Stay safe.
Retired (werk'n) keyboard super tech. Wear your safety glasses.
Newer Carriers and Goodmans install some terrible capacitors 😆
👍
any braker can weld a contact, and that is one of the worst one.
Dumb question Why did you do that trick with your screwdriver is that for you not to get shock by the run capacitor because I have multiple times ?
Yes that’s why even though the power was shut off the capacitor still can have a charge
