I purchased this game last year, solely due to HG's content. It is a blast.

You keep moving into enemy entrenchments thinking you get the benefit, you don't. You must dig your own.
When planning your attack look at roads and rail lines; you can cut off unit supply thus weaken them. Right now you are , 'worrying what your enemy could do to you, not what you could do to him'
    Remember order of battle
    Air-Artillery-Ground Attack
    Research Heavy Artillery/Tanks/Infantry Warfare/Logistics/Production/Command

Central powers need more expirienced player to compensate strategic disadvantage. Old Crow Balthazar would be a decent german commander and opponent in this game. He is an expert in Strategic Command series, wish you could do 1914 scenario together.

I really enjoy this series, it's a turn based game and yet the drama is real.
    Hope it continues!
    Great job!

MMP's and morale are the key to this game, Germans are so far behind that by the end of 1915 their fronts will start to fall apart. The first three months will show if the Germans have a shot of winning, moving German units around to various fronts are the key in August, now its just grind until the Germans surrender due to morale and MMP's.

    Artillery weapons
    Tank development
Infantry weapons - but not infantry warfare
    Logistics
    Command Control
    Shell production
    Trench Warfare
Keep poking at those while you're strapped for cash with your big three
You've already a mass of infantry, give 'em better weapons (later ya can increase their morale with "warfare" )
Arillery is needed, and it's quicker to get than the right aircraft (fighters, strat bombers and zepplins really do squat against ground units) this early in.
    Tanks, 'cause tanks
Logistics doesn't play a big role on the West Front but more HQsare always a plus.
Command & Control 'cause better HQs means better troops.
Shell production ... your artillery needs shells to break the other guy
Trench warfare 'cause it's WWI and what's WWI without trenches.

Don't forget to use extra money to buy back your cheap destroyed corps at reduced cost.

Exceptionally useful, and good way to rapidly regenerate.

02:17 La Foudre "La Foodr" = The Thunderbolt
38:42 The supply convoys from Britain to Russia are shut down in winter times, plus expenses for the conversion of civilian ships into seaplane tenders.
40:22 What a daring move! That's the hour of the cavalry.
42:32 The heavy bomber unit is very useful in the difficult terrain of the Caucasus, making the supply situation even harder for the Turks.
44:30 Germany is leading in Infantry Warfare, which boosts ground units' morale, and yes, they have better commanders, because they are leading in C&C, too. The Distant Blockade is incomplete. Germany hasn't lost any naval unit, yet. Holding Brussels and receiving supplies via the neutral Netherlands are further boosts for Germany's National Morale.
54:19 The R&D of the Entente is an almost perfect catastrophe. Luckily, the situation on the other side isn't much better: 55:35

Yeah man, probably shouldn't reinforce EVERYTHING every turn or you never gonna get anywhere with Techs. I want to say the general rule is only reinforce them if they are like 7 maybe or less. Not only does this burn though MMPs but it also reducing the Units XP which makes them better at fighting then 1 would expect. I think Serbia might be able to HOLD but you would need to BUY units for them with their funds, a Artillery battalion for example would be REALLY good right about now with all those Germans bearing down on you.
January 1915 eh? Might want to get some Artillery and Shell production going so you can start bombarding enemy entrenchments. Command and Control would make your HQs better which in turn makes your Troops better. Speaking of, Infantry Weapons would also help in that regard, although then you would have to upgrade your troops as well to gain those benefits.
Tank Development takes ALOT of investment (you need like 4 lvls for like 1 tank battalion if I recall) but well, Tanks are Tanks and we all know how THAT went in WW1. Aircraft Devlopment could be fun but its a long term investment just like Tanks. Although you could keep throwing chips at Industrial Tech which just gets you more MMPs per turn.

Serbia continues to punch well above their weight, sucking in 9 German & Austro-Hungarian corps! The opportunity cost of such employment is staggering, not least as the drive into France proves sluggish, & general Russian advances. The Russian aid was punching several times above it's weight & the Central Powers' loss of a couple of armies worth of troops is very telling on other fronts. The Austro-Hungarian navy is really caught in port, diversion of resources for naval repair or investment are unlikely to offer them dividends.
Lack of pace on the French front is playing to the Entente's advantage, allowing them to strengthen the postion & render the risk of a sudden death blow ever-more unlikely. Indications from your recce work suggest the enemy has completely deprioritised this front in favour of trying to best balance an strategic crisis nearing a death spiral - likely with a major catastrophe occuring in Russia in mid-1915. Eastern Prussia is likely to be enveloped piecemeal as things stand, but a cavalry detachment or two should aid your deep recce capabilities.
The Konigsberg push is very slow, and to my mind should risk more to surround/cut off defenders - but the steady pace of advance hasnt been countered by the Germans.
Austrian forces, three corps, holding that key mountain line are likely to be completely cut off soon. Premzyl is a key communications centre for both sides and any prospect of sustained relief appears ever more unlikely... even more so now heavy arty is being brought to bear.
The slice to the Austrian rear is brilliant & will hopefully be exploited if the enemy does redeploy to counter it. Either they will lose strong defensive positions & yield the mountains... or race in fresh troops. Either way, the defender's paradox renders their entire strategy around Prezmyl moot.
The Ottomon front is almost a different war, but they remain numerous but weak. Their army pressing into Russia is unprepared & Entente reinforcements should shore up Egypt.
Loving this radical alternate history. The Central Powers' player faces some massive crises, and really has to decide what to prioritise - as it appears a quick knock out of Serbia & rapid redeployment elsewhere is exceptionally unlikely.

Are there bitish troops in Canada?

    • @fars8229
      @fars8229 День тому

No. Overall, North America is quite unimportant, only the convoys from Canada have some importance: they amount to one seventh of the UK's income during the first war months. And the Entente can win without the U.S. In this scenario, the mobilization of the U.S. is largely dependent on how quickly the Entente loses one important Major (Russia, France or Britain).

@@Antibolshevik1 If you are looking for a challenge: Play the Central Powers in the scenario "1914 Call to Arms" and follow an America First Strategy. Land in and conquer North America, before you knock out two of the three big Entente Powers (GB, FR, RU). For said course of actions, you need diplomacy in Scandinavia, maybe even occupy Denmark to get Greenland and Iceland as logistic and jump-off positions. Landing crafts need several turns to get to the American mainland, you must get Greenland in 1916 at the latest. If you want an even bigger challenge choose the scenario "1914 Triple Alliance" in which Italy joins the Central Powers, not the Entente, and the U.S. joins the Entente in any case in 1915 or 1916.

It feels more and more hard to watch a player so bad with the CP. It is clear that he doesn't understand the rules of the game. Like others said, you can maybe try someone more capable next time.
