Couple weeks ago my neighbour brought over his Fiskars pole saw, and left it here. It sat in the garage as I thought being motor less, it was a piece of junk. (I've got chain saws) but anywhoo, decided to give it a try... "WOW" I was super-surprised at how well it works. It's the largest Fiskars that reaches way the hell up there. (Think it has 3 extensions) My wife was even able to operate it so we took turns. We had a huge 1/2 ton load of branches, in a very short period of time. It sawed through 4-5-6 inch branches like they were hard butter.. I am impressed... I'd buy the largest Fiskars in a heartbeat... WOW it worked flawlessly.
Works well, the higher the branches the more cumbersome it becomes. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHMc_g3gGUpXsBlcRniL7qDnlxwo192gi It’s very top heavy. Better have some spare batteries near by. Worked very well for the job I had
I got one recently and it works fine, for small to medium branches is perfect. I got the 12' tall. Fiskars is a very good quality brand..I got a few other Fiskars tools and they work perfectly, no complaints...
Best to trim off as much of the branch as possible, using the short cutting blade and rope pull mechanism, before using the saw blade to cut off the branch near the trunk of the tree. This will prevent the limb from breaking early and pulling off the bark off below the saw cut.
Nice video. I really love the Fiskars pole saw. I have the 16' length. It's very sturdy and rugged. It's very light yet very rigid. Very nice saw. To take it to the next level I attached another 15' aluminum pole from our snow rake to create a 25' saw. When held at shoulder height reaches 30'. Took the top of some trees down today so I could cut the trunks down w chainsaw and not hit house. Worked great. Highly recommend Fiskars.
Don't know if it's because this vid is older, but the product I'm seeing online doesn't have the same blade. The one I see has a hook at the end, and seems more flimsy.
I may go to the Jamison s just due to longer length/price. I w like to have the prunner though I need the added height. TY for video. Update bought 16ft Fisker will try it. Update worked great up to 7.5 dia. Bigger blade on 16 ft.and more expensive.
I got mine in late 2020 and its easy to use. I think mine extends 4 to 8 feet longer and has a slightly different blade.. My only issue was rope management. ughh!
Nope. It is CHI-COM JUNK. ZERO stars. Blade wanted to bind ALL the time. Accidentally dropped the head end to the ground while trying to cut a limb and the SOFT aluminum pole broke at the bolt behind the hear the head. Like I said, PURE CHI-COM JUNK! I am DONE with anything made by Fiskars.
Thanks, took the mystery out of using this tool. Wondering, though, was it necessary to cut off a tree branch JUST for this video?? And why not try to cut the rope INSTEAD of the branch?? Yikes.
If you all haven't seen a documentary called... It's worse than you think... By revelations of Jesus Christ ministries... I suggest you do... All praise and Lord to the most high Jesus Christ
I was wondering why you posted this info on this Faskar comments channel. But I was curious and found it on UA-cam. I'm very happy that you posted this, because I had not even heard of this documentary. So thank you very much for this unexpected treat about the End Times, which is a matter of great importance to all mankind.
Yeah, right. I bought this saw today and Fiskars should pay you to take it home. First, it too me 20 minutes just to get the hard plastic off. Attached the blade and it will not telescope. It’s going back tomorrow.

Thanks for the product review. This really helped me out. I was looking for a pole saw and didn't know if this was any good. I appreciate it brutha!
Glad it was helpful. Thanks the comment.

I think they are a great brand too. Glad yours is working out for you. Thanks for the comment!
Thank you, this video was a big help. And Lowe's should thank you as well
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad I was able to help!
Well done video! I appreciate you sharing with us! :)
Thank you! Much appreciated
It helps to offer the part number because even within Fiskars, the hole orientation will vary.
Bless your heart! You got that rope👍Thank you! Good video

Thank you for the tips. I am having trouble sawing.
Yes, they do stand behind their Lifetime Warranty, have had many small hand tools wear out over the years.
Never mind, it's for the pruner. Works great for thin branches
They make a 14' and a 16' now (in addition to the 12'). I got the 14' because I liked the oval grip on it more than the round grip on the 12'.
The 14 at Home Depot $ 49.00 . The 16 Ft $ 99.00 . I saved FIFTY DOLLARS with the 14 Ft as I can stand on a Yard Chair.

How do you loo off the top of a pine tree.. it’s not wide. About 1” but it’s straight up. Can you angle the tool at all?
Why would you?

Glad you found it helpful!
@@Markofalltrades update going to try fisker 16 foot. Since looper included. Didn't know they had 16 ft.
I got the 16-foot Fiskars and in four hours the loppers jump track and was stuck. I took it back and got a real pole saw the Notch Nobasu.
GREAT VIDEO !
Thank you!
That’s a fun swing! Why take it down?
I have got one of these but not use it yet. I need to though.
Thank you for posting!
Glad you liked it. Thanks!

You seem like a very nice young man. Thank you.
Thank you I appreciate that
the only thing I don't like is the fiberglass handle ... I just wish it had the aluminum neck like the others
Mine sucks. Saw hardly cuts at all, and pruning blade lops only the thinnest branches. 2020 Fiskars made by a different company??
Just what I wanted to know. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Threw in a couple of half hitches...lol...that made me think you are a Firefighter...then I saw a helmet on your garage wall...😉
Les Richardson that made my day! My work terms are starting to become apart of my everyday lingo lol
It the fixed part that the pruning blade cuts/shears against plastic or steel?
Plastic.
Thanks dude very helpful 👍
TTOORROONNTTOOful thank you, glad it helped you out.
Good video man 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Much appreciated, thank you 🙏🏽
the ghost is gonna be real mad you took away it’s favorite swing
THERE IS A CALAR ON THE BRANCH NEXT TO THE TREE. CUT ON THE BRANCH SIDE OF THE CALAR SO THE TREE CAN HEAL ITSEF PROPERLY.
I bought it but I do not use ! Thank you for sharing !
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you for the video!!
I have a pair of fiskars scissors that are about as old as i am and are still sharp and strong
They produce great products! Definitely get your money's worth from them.
So what's the pull string for?
A.M. Brown the pull string is what moves the pruners located behind the actual saw. Once you pull it, it activates the pruner function.
That thing kicked my ass

Awesome. Im gonna trim some pine trees 🌲
Ashley Video Productions awesome, this should work really well for that!
Thanks
Lifetime warranty may be for the expected life of the blade not your lifetime.
That's not what the warranty says. If you read the warranty you'll see it says "as long as original consumer owns it".
I got a 14 foot one
Thanks, took the mystery out of using this tool. Wondering, though, was it necessary to cut off a tree branch JUST for this video?? And why not try to cut the rope INSTEAD of the branch?? Yikes.
I was mounting security cameras and that branch needed to come down. So it was a 2 for 1
@@Markofalltrades Okay, cool. Just hoping people are willy nilly cutting trees.
I spray wd 40 on the saw blades
You didn't even explain how to rope it,,,that's what I was looking for,,,putting the blade is common sense ,,
Sorry it didn’t help man
Still great review!
I CAN'T HEAR YOU!
Go Green!
Cant hear u
Get a 14 year old to climb the tree lol
That might do the trick lol
more like worst saw ever!!!
