Couple weeks ago my neighbour brought over his Fiskars pole saw, and left it here. It sat in the garage as I thought being motor less, it was a piece of junk. (I've got chain saws) but anywhoo, decided to give it a try... "WOW" I was super-surprised at how well it works. It's the largest Fiskars that reaches way the hell up there. (Think it has 3 extensions) My wife was even able to operate it so we took turns. We had a huge 1/2 ton load of branches, in a very short period of time. It sawed through 4-5-6 inch branches like they were hard butter.. I am impressed... I'd buy the largest Fiskars in a heartbeat... WOW it worked flawlessly.

Works well, the higher the branches the more cumbersome it becomes. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHMc_g3gGUpXsBlcRniL7qDnlxwo192gi It’s very top heavy. Better have some spare batteries near by. Worked very well for the job I had

I got one recently and it works fine, for small to medium branches is perfect. I got the 12' tall. Fiskars is a very good quality brand..I got a few other Fiskars tools and they work perfectly, no complaints...

Best to trim off as much of the branch as possible, using the short cutting blade and rope pull mechanism, before using the saw blade to cut off the branch near the trunk of the tree. This will prevent the limb from breaking early and pulling off the bark off below the saw cut.

Nice video. I really love the Fiskars pole saw. I have the 16' length. It's very sturdy and rugged. It's very light yet very rigid. Very nice saw. To take it to the next level I attached another 15' aluminum pole from our snow rake to create a 25' saw. When held at shoulder height reaches 30'. Took the top of some trees down today so I could cut the trunks down w chainsaw and not hit house. Worked great. Highly recommend Fiskars.

Update worked great up to 7.5 dia. Bigger blade on 16 ft.and more expensive.

Don't know if it's because this vid is older, but the product I'm seeing online doesn't have the same blade. The one I see has a hook at the end, and seems more flimsy.

A.M. Brown the pull string is what moves the pruners located behind the actual saw. Once you pull it, it activates the pruner function.

Yeah, right. I bought this saw today and Fiskars should pay you to take it home. First, it too me 20 minutes just to get the hard plastic off. Attached the blade and it will not telescope. It’s going back tomorrow.
