Y’all, it looks like more and more people are starting to unite against Oprah, because Gabrielle Union just entered the chat, and she is NOT happy with all the drama. Recently, actress Vivica Fox came out to show support for Oprah, and she hinted that Taraji P Henson was lying about getting blackballed by Oprah.
Well, Gabrielle was NOT having this, and she went off on Vivica and Oprah. Chile, y’all need to get on this drama cause Gabrielle did not come to play.
So it looks like this whole Taraji and Oprah saga is not coming to an end because more and more people keep getting roped into the situation!

People who are saying Vivica is not as successful as Taraji must be kidding! That woman started off in popular soap operas " Days of Our Lives," and "Generations!" She also starred with Patty Labelle in the sitcom " Out All Night." She starred in hit movies like Soul Food,Set It Off, Independence Day,Kill Bill, Why Do Fools Fall In Love,Kingdom Come,Two Can Play That Game, Booty Call,and Tuskegee Airmen.Those are just some of the movies and shows that I can remember! If indeed they blacklist actresses in Hollywood why would she take the chance of sinking her career??? Some of the same people who are criticizing her wouldn't risk losing their jobs knowing those bills still have to be paid no matter what kind of stand you choose to take!

I agree as blk ppl we need to be more kind to each other no matter if coming from poor background, decent background, and rich background.
Why I say decent background? Bc sometimes I see when some come from poor background or live a ghetto way they tend to have jealousy or be envious to those who come from well raised background. And it shouldn't be that way as blk ppl we need to accept we come from all backgrounds, and be respectful of it and help each other out or look out for each other. And say hi and not bother one another, and not go against each other bc no other race going to look out for us. There might be a few that will but is not a big mass amount, and sometimes some other race be fake too, so you can't really totally trust them.

I respect vivica's approach to that interview, to me, it just sounds like she is not trying to be in it, she is cool with where she is and everybody experiences is their own experience, so I got to give nothing but respect for that. As human beings, we're fueled by being in other people's business which we have no point in being in. We need to stop worrying about what's going on with other people and start worrying about our own selves and family before we can cast judgement on another.
I believe Vivica understands that she has not been able to book those blockbuster movies as a lead nor supporting role so she has decided to just be down for herself. She has probably felt that no one has been there for her out of all the people she knows in Hollywood with regard to blacks in the industry. Therefore, she has carved out a niche for herself and is keeping her head down. In the 1960s, we could have said that about us being on the same page, Now we have a gap because some black people were left behind during the drug use epidemic... Many black people fell through the cracks . Dad's couldn't find a job to take care of their family. While some blacks were going to nicer neighborhoods and private schools. Vivica Fox is not thinking about disparity until it happens to her. The best thing a black person can do is help someone in need. I always make sure I do things for those who need.

This isn't necessarily true. Especially, when take into consideration that jobs for black women are few and far between compared to roles for other people. They don't work as consistently, so the money they make has to last them for an unknown amount of time. They also still have to pay taxes and they really can't get jobs without an agent and lawyer, who they also have to pay. Taraji actually broke this down at one point. She used the example of being paid 100k for a project. When it's over she pockets about 35k. Also keep in mind that's the price for well known black actresses. That's not the price for all of them. Little known people make much less. AND in comparison to their white counterparts some of the top black actresses are grossly underpaid.

People like to keep drama going by reading way too deep into things. No shade was thrown. Seems like she’s just trying to protect her career and stay out of the craziness. People will look for something even when there is nothing there to find. Gabrielle’s statement was uncalled for. Emotions are high and people are speaking out of sentimentality, not facts. Attacking Vivica and in the same breath saying that we need to support one another as black women is a huge contradiction.

Look! being an actress was on my radar until I did a few extra parts. It was a difficult decision, I could tell I was being accepted in the beginning & I realized time & pay were an issue. After being asked to do a slave part in 12 years A Slave. I decided acting may not be the route or maybe the timing wasn't aligned. I just believe we have enough slave movies that's been done. Now I agree w Taraji when you are a top actress u shouldn't have to worry about certain things so u can focus on what ur doing, like food, driving, having trailer, all of those things are basic needs for top actors & actress, maybe she should have just declined the role.
Decline a role, then she can't meet her responsibilities? She's not married or has someone to pick up the slack. Even with everyday folk it takes two incomes to survive during these times of inflation, etc. So it's easy to say she should not have taken the role, however, you cannot regulate someone else's finances!!!

Oprah Tyler Perry. Her contract was strictly with Lee Daniels and she helped Lily Daniels. he couldn't get no a-listers to help in a movie cuz nobody really trust him. So Monique looked out for him and did the movie for $50,000 but he's supposed to have put her in some more movies afterwards. But when Oprah and Lee Daniels and lion Gates got involved, Lee Daniels tucked his tail and didn't stick up for Monique after she went all out her. He went on a syndicated news channel and said she was being difficult and that's when that black ball be gone. And yep! it was because of Oprah Tyler Perry lion gate. ITS THEIR PROBLEM. People with 'play jobs' like actors and athletes dont need my help. They're not involed in the regular people's EVERYDAY struggles on our jobs, regarding minimum wages,etc. I love Taraji but I dont live in a 6million dollar house. I don't have the privilege of working a few months out of the year instead of everyday, everyyear like most of us. I sympathize but I'm not interested in this drama.
