This Gallagher special was filmed in Texas, so be prepared for plenty of jokes about the largeness of Texan headgear and the purported smallness of the citizens' I.Q.s. The highlight is Gallagher's harangue about gun control. Other topics skewered by Gallagher include Ancient History and current political figures.
Gallagher is the only person other than Judy Garland who could sing this song real well.
R.I.P. Gallagher and thank you for giving us so many great laughs, odd ideas/inventions and of course the ever so famous Sledge-O-Matic.
We'll miss you, Gallagher!! 🖤
R.I.P GALLAGHER!!! LOVED YOUR SHOWS. GREAT FUNNY GUY, PART OF ME AND MY LIL BROTHERS CHILDHOOD. OVER THE RAINBOW YOU CAN GO NOW.
goodbye old friend , let's meet somewhere over the rainbow.
Gallagher has to be one of my all-time favorite comedians and he spoke the truth about the government no matter how dumb the goverment is. he told the truth. My all-time favorite was stuck in the 60s but the claymation was outstanding
With this one short bit, that without saying so says so very much, Gallagher's absolute genius is presented beyond any and all doubts.
RIP buddy you are a legend.
RIP Gallagher
RIP Leo Gallagher... we will miss you, and your sweet Mr. sledge o matic... God bless ya sir.
Awesome! Seen him twice when I was a kid, still have my signed hat!
Maybe... just, maybe. He was thee most perfect human alive...
God that man made me laugh so hard and i loved every bit of it! It beings tears to my eyes that he will be missed sorely. He was such a genius of his time!!! Never missed a show of his. Miss him dearly. ❤
Thanks for the laughs. R.I.P. Gallagher
I discovered him late, in 1996 or 1997 on Comedy Central when I had a light schedule one quarter in college. Filled 4 VHS tapes
LOVE HIS SHOWS! FUNNY GREAT MAN. GUESS SIX PEOPLE NEVER BEEN OVER A RAINBOW WITH THEIR THUMBS DOWN.
That clip was effing awesome !!!! I will keep that allways.
One of the greatest prop comics.
Bravo! What a great soul
Dreams do come true my dear Gallagher.
May Gallagher find the heavenly Gold of joy awaiting him on the other side...... the joy he blessed so many of us with here on Earth. Rest in Laughter Gallagher......
Unfortunately but especially true in America comedic genius is not only rare but underappreciated , that which thrives in its stead is coarse and sometimes more than just offensive......Gallagher you have few peers ...thanks for the cerebral humor .In my mid 40s your were at your Zenith ...then poof ! You split the scene ...I thought that you had made a fortune and retired for good . I just learned of your plight .. as I repaid you with my laughter in appreciation for you humor ....I also shed tear of empathy for you because of what you have gone through ...God Bless. ..I hope you are doing well.
Love you Gallagher
This was genuinely so beautiful
How innocent and inspiring.
💔😭💔
RIP King of Props
Miss you Gallagher!
Your on your way now.... Rip Sledge o Matic King
R.I.P. and Super Sky Point....may he be cycling that big watermelon blimp up there!
He was a good time! 😂 a blast!
Oddly Moving...
..and EASILY entertained...
It was, even then, but it now takes on a whole different meaning.
Sing the song!
RIP
classic
Great imagination .. I first saw gallagher perform at knotts berry farm in 65.. had his hat with a car that drove around in the brim.. and it was in a very small room packed tight.. and he had hair then but knew he was good even as a boy
RIP 😟
Brilliant
Happy bird day
Lol ⚜ 😆 🤣 😂 😹 MuchLove!!!
R.i.p Gallagher you made us all laugh 😊
#Johnnydepp would be prefect for this roll.
🍺
I'm going to think about who he was at this moment, not who he became. What a glorious, terrible weirdo.
WOW!
I saw this a long time ago, and I could have sworn that the blimp (the toy one, at least) was painted to look like a watermelon. *shrugs*
Greatest stand up comedian.
I don't believe he picked that hat out himself. The queen guys must have had an eye for him.
He was strongly anti "rainbow" stuff. :)
That's NOT the 6 striped gaybow!
I had a dream about him, he was carrying a big wooden mallet , he said " If Lizzy Borden had one of these, she wouldn't of had to do what she did "41" times, no suree, only twice, with this big baby.😇

He must be HIGH......😁
Advice to anyone who enjoyed him in the 80s and early 90s - save your memories and don't pursue his later career. He dropped the whimsy and prop comedy and became obsessed negativity, and began punching down.
True, that.
His best era was the Showtime era in the '80s (although "We Need A Hero" attempted to mark a return to form). That's all anyone interested really needs to see. I saw him live in 1996 and 2000, but the emphasis was of him having people come up on stage to smash the foodstuffs, and the energy and flow of the classic shows wasn't there anymore.
Wouldn't YOU if you were more BRILLIANT than George Carlin & they TROMPED YOUR ARSE LIKE THEY DID HIS?!? TROLL! 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮
I'd LOVE to see YOU BUILD THIS outta YOUR STANKY ARSE! 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮
YOU WILL BE MISSED
When seeing rainbows didn't make me sick to my stomach
