That and you just make it super entertaining 🤣

But yeah I dunno if that first sound effect in the video was originally from Ultrakill or if Ultrakill just used a public domain sound. It’s in Ultrakill though, I can tell ya that.
I've been holding onto this since the Galaxy/Photon video awhile back. Its peak, as far as the TCG goes, was in TOSS format. Nibiru was actually live thanks to Orcust, and Union Carrier was legal. Union Carrier + Orbital turns Photon Sanctuary into a RotA, upping your consistency. Because of the increased consistency, you could play a lot more extenders without having to worry about bricking or running your hand down, because you could now consistently play through as many interruptions your opponent had left after breaking apart their board. People were still pretty conservative at the time(or they were playing Sky Strikers), so if you bricked you could play more conservatively yourself without worrying about being OTK'ed, or they played into Nibiru. That, and because of the prevalence of links at the time, any time you go into Prime any time you want and near always have the OTK live. The deck was still live somewhat through Calamity/S0 format, because most people just ended on one and you could just OTK after hitting them with Chalice or Imperm, but after that format and Union Carrier's ban, things were just downhill from there. EDIT: Lemme clarify here, I was talking about the blind second OTK. Just in case I didn't make that clear.
For me the appeal of this show and you as a Creator isn't seeing you struggle to get the highest rank possible. What I like is seeing HOW you do it and what you try in order to make it work, I especially like it when you try the goofy stuff because it's not just funny, it also becomes educational as I learn to see these decks in ways that I did not see them before.
It's always nice seeing the weirder or more janky kind of decks being used, but if those start to become a struggle then I love how you shift over to trying to make a better deck to more effectively ladder climb. I would say start with the more weird decks then go from there but regardless, I'm still going to watch!
To be fair, Galaxy-Eyes has good support in "Starliege Lord Paladynamo", "Starliege Lord Galaxion", "Galaxy-Eyes Cloudragon", and its boss monsters (I'm looking at you "Number 48: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy" and "Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon"). Personally one of my favorite Light attribute archetypes (right after Lightsworn and Neos). Would love to see something like Infernity being done in the Ladder climb.
.....hardleg... baby... being a galaxy-eyes player myself you can get that BIG 4500 ATK killer out with eternal galaxy, a trap which not only grants you a sneak attack but also lets you EX summon in your battle phase to finish your opponent.
This was a really fun watch along. I'd love to see if our boi can give the funky space dragons a redemption arc with the new support. I've been playing the deck a ton recently, and its very, very fun now.
I kinda like both aspects of the show; I like the janky fun buids because I'm not a meta player myself, so seeing something that's not optimal, but can still pull the unexpected off is my jam, and it's funny when it does pull it off. On the other hand, I'm also really, really interested in seeing how far these kinds of decks can go when built as optimally as they can and piloted as well as they can. I kinda liked how you did the skele-bros, where you did the Skull Servants for about half your time, experimenting with a fun build, then went on to the more serious Eldlich builds later on. I don't necessarily care about how high you reach if you spend the first half doing janky fun stuff because you onyl have half your month to actually climb, since you can say that the deck might be good enough to climb if you just have the grind -- you've said that for a few decks like D/D/D before after all -- but it's ultimately up to you.
Galaxy-Eyes cards has some really cool art but they always reminded me of a fancier version of Blue-Eyes with XYZ instead of synchro. Curious to see what you can do with it.
i watch these for tips on how to build my own decks and usually its a deck i want to try out myself so it works out both ways also helps me figure out how to play around popular decks in the higher ranks
@@HardlegGaming I'm still warming up to your content as a whole but I can already tell that you're a talented youtuber, it's very entertaining to watch you play
As an avid enjoyer of this archetype, it makes me a little sad that it couldn’t crack its way into that coveted Diamond tier, but damn if you didn’t try.
I like to see the quirky stuff once or twice for the novelty, but in general I prefer when you try to optimize a not so good deck and push it up the ladder as far as you can. I'd love it if the next episode was on metaphys, I feel like the current MD format is pretty favourable for it.
I'd love to see this now with the new support. Doesn't make the deck super better but it does feel like it has a better flow now and little more enjoyable to play.
XD I love when he said all of those cards are made to infuriate him I play mainly Ursarctic so I feel you buddy yet it´s always fun to climb with ursarctic especially when the enemy doesn´t know what they do and you manage to get a good board turn 1 with Septentrion and grand chariot (only possible when you play drivers) also can´t wait for the new support cards for ursarctic to come into master duel a new level 1 synchro that adds the floodgate for enemy extra deck monsters with level to your big guys and a spell searcher ... exactly what the ursarctics neeeded
Haven't touched Master Duel in a good while, but I remember being able to climb to Plat with a Galaxy-Eyes deck, mostly because being able to punch for big number in a BO1 is surprisingly effective.
The meta really shifted in August with the release of Floo and Swordsoul. There was a dramatic jump in power level which was only made worse with the release of Branded.

I wasn't paying attention to your deck setup. Thing to consider adding is return of the dragon lords and trade-In and consider using as an engine with another Arc type? Running pure Galaxy Eyes would be pretty difficult. Also continuous trap XYZ Veil would help protect your XYZ monsters. That would help to make use of your bricks.
I just started the video, but I gotta stop by the comment section and say kudos on the editing. It's looking good.
Thanks! I do the intros myself :)
@HardLeg Gaming Rock on, that's awesome. The effort you've put in is definitely showing. Keep on keeping on.
I love the galaxy eyes/photon architype. And yes, i'm may not be my favourite deck, bit it's up there.
It's so cool of Komoney to release new packs at the halfway point of every episode. They recognize how important your show is
.....hardleg... baby... being a galaxy-eyes player myself you can get that BIG 4500 ATK killer out with eternal galaxy, a trap which not only grants you a sneak attack but also lets you EX summon in your battle phase to finish your opponent.
If it is a good deck, I like to see silly or crazy things, if the deck is bad I prefer to see how far you can make it trying as hard as you can
This was a really fun watch along. I'd love to see if our boi can give the funky space dragons a redemption arc with the new support. I've been playing the deck a ton recently, and its very, very fun now.
Oh this is fun. Actually wanted to try out a galaxy eyes deck for a little while now and now this. Sweet
I like the idea of a trash deck month. This was fun.
Slightly transparent HardLeg is best hardleg
i watch these for tips on how to build my own decks and usually its a deck i want to try out myself so it works out both ways
also helps me figure out how to play around popular decks in the higher ranks
Glad I can help then :)
Sorry I couldn't watch this sooner hardleg, but thank you for playing Galaxy eyes in this day and age
Best videos to watch in the background at work while I’m lighting up cigarettes for my residents at my retirement home job thanks man !
8:13 I was not expecting a Black Tide reference! You get a like just for that!
YES! I've been waiting so much for another episode. Please keep them coming, they are so entertaining
They take a while to make, but I'm pumping out a new episode a month :)
@@HardlegGaming I'm still warming up to your content as a whole but I can already tell that you're a talented youtuber, it's very entertaining to watch you play
Absolutely love the pigs in space reference
I personally love watching you ranking up and winning over goofy antics
What has a higher win rate. Vicious dragons from space OR hideous 2 foot beast in a speedo.
#ojamasupremacy
As someone who mains Galaxy-Eyes, I fully support this video
As an avid enjoyer of this archetype, it makes me a little sad that it couldn’t crack its way into that coveted Diamond tier, but damn if you didn’t try.
I am currently trying to get my ass out of gold with my labrynth deck I made. This series has been keeping me sane. Thank you Sir.
I like to see the quirky stuff once or twice for the novelty, but in general I prefer when you try to optimize a not so good deck and push it up the ladder as far as you can.
I'd love it if the next episode was on metaphys, I feel like the current MD format is pretty favourable for it.
Frugal Leg Joe showing up again! Though I can honestly see wanting to dismantle the shiny cards over using them.
You say it’s outdated but watching you makes me want to try galaxy photon
It's been doing pretty well in the newest event. If there's a time to play it, it's now.
I'd love to see this now with the new support. Doesn't make the deck super better but it does feel like it has a better flow now and little more enjoyable to play.
XD I love when he said all of those cards are made to infuriate him
I play mainly Ursarctic so I feel you buddy
yet it´s always fun to climb with ursarctic especially when the enemy doesn´t know what they do
and you manage to get a good board turn 1 with Septentrion and grand chariot (only possible when you play drivers)
also can´t wait for the new support cards for ursarctic to come into master duel
a new level 1 synchro that adds the floodgate for enemy extra deck monsters with level to your big guys and a spell searcher ... exactly what the ursarctics neeeded
Crushing Crocked Cook turbo was chef's kiss.
As much as I like galaxy eyes they just fall short vs every thing if you get interrupted once it's pretty much ggs.
I'll break down most of my shinies too, but I will likely always keep my Royal Rare Dark Magician and my Royal Rare Winged Dragon of Ra. Just too cool to dust, haha
I like when you modify the deck to push it further up the ladder
Trade-In would have saved you so much trouble
Oh my go-
Im NOT this irate about fucking cardboard, ever, but i physically have had to stop the video on several occasions just to keep my sanity intact bro uSE THE EQUIP EFFECT OF ORBITER
USE GALAXY ZERO

I was hopping to see hardleg using the secret effect of the link 2 sadge
amazing video!!!
And Ik it's Galaxy Eyes but throw in Sage and Jet dragon easy way to get rank 8 plus with jets reccuring resurrection. I used to run Galaxy Eyes/Blue eyes and it ran very well
