Heard it was unchained favored but unsure (I think it was pre-PHNI too). Unchained can float for longer with like 7 HOPTs and can link off the fire kings in engine, FK is generally stronger and more consistent, and it's non destruction outs are goddess, flamberge, dingirsu, SP, plus arvata to negate floats. All really accessible but not as much as the unchained linkers
That FK mirror really gave of Tear mirror vibes. Just a never ending back and forth where application of deck knowledge and personal skill really determines the winner

Yeah, and it's mainly the lack of the Ishizu cards that's the only thing making it "weaker". The worst thing about Tearlaments since the shufflers were added has always been dealing with the shufflers.

yeah i know... i mean there is like this card that's big, can't be destroyed by battle an is unaffected by monster effects. if only there was some kind of none monster negation allowing us to use sp's removal so we could lethal... Dingirsu is how you usually end the fire king mirrors. Sends, stops destruction, etc. zeus is also very good for similar reasons, as is flamberge

At first I was a little confused seeing Valmonica. I thought “I mean the deck got top 32 at Dutch nationals so mid is a bit of a stretch.” Then I saw Farfa’s Italian comment and everything made sense.
I mean, the deck is mid af. Dutch nats isn't that big either and people just tired playing SE. Getting 1 top isn't saying much about that deck, the deck still bad

Ulcanix raises the ceiling for pure fire kings to heaven, deck is really fun to play and creates very interactive games
One brew of Vaalmonica I've had a lot of fun with is Nemleria Vaalmonica. And yes, it does sound like it has anti-synergy, cause Nemleria locks you out of the extra deck, but the angel scale lets you quick link summon on your opponents turn if they attack. I even managed to almost outgrind Fire King Snake Eyes with multiple misplays.
So what's the list?

The rest of the ED is just good generic rank 4's and I:P, S:P and Knightmare Unicorn until you get to 15.
It can probably be improved on, but it works pretty well to my experience.

@@NotsoNaisu I mean youre probably right. Alas, you are someone that konami hates. pend worst deck for as long as konami has a say in the matter. They will continue to sprinkle in support only to drag pend players along with false hope but it will never be enough. they never want pend to be good again.
Moral of the story. Konami is racist against pend players.
@@CgfThisnameisrandom Tbh it's not even about pends being "bad" the real reason is because of the fact that since no one is playing pendulum, a lot of the cards are cheap as hell and Konami knows if they released actual good pendulum support they would lose out on a lot of money

Check out Rika Sunavalon, the deck is hard to pilot but an experienced player can do quite a lot with it, compared to Fire Kings and other top decks it's not OP at all. But Konami still decided to hit the deck. Why? Because the deck was cheap and they didn't want people playing with cheap 4+ year old cards that are just as good as the new expensive shiny toys they just brought out

YEP, that's how I remember Fire King mirrors were for me in Duel Links. We didn't even have D.D. Crow back then. The mirrors ended because you could steal lethal at 4000 LP by negating OG Garunix with Arvata before they could crash their Arvata and revive Garunix and re-destroy it.
that first vaalmonica play is a disgrace , they would been better off just play Pure vaalmonica with a few outsider card that help getting counter, it easy.
Yeah I was confused as hell when I saw it. They didn't even try to do the thing Vaalmonica is supposed to do and get the counters to be able to summon the link-1's.

they also wouldn't lost their Spell and pend scale cause zebufera can trade 3 counter to protect everything from destruction.

There is a player at locals who plays Vaalmonica. I faced him with my cope Mannadium deck (with Chaos Angel subbing in for Baronne). He couldn't bypass my many stopping points game one.
Game 2 turned into a stall where the deck proceeded to do things, but slowly and taking its massive time. I was disadvantaged but realized that there was no reason to surrender because the game would stall out and I would at worst end the round in a tie. I would winning in that game in time when the self burn damage he took put his lp lower than mine in.
My synopsis, is the deck can do things, but not quickly and needs the opponent to not do a lot.
I highly disagree. At my locals, pure Vaalmonica has a nasty win rate. It must be a ratio thing, really.
Game 1 it depends what you had,too many interruption could win against every deck,game 2 it depends of what he could accomplish
@@shaser3684 It probably is. He is a solid but not exceptional player. I was also allowed to go off without interruption game 1 is not good for my opponent.

@@jasonmaiorano148 It was definetly too many interruptions in game 1. That is what my deck relies on. Game 2 was just a bit too grindy and Chaos Angel with both effects can be a lot to deal with.
@@shaser3684 I'd be really curious to see what the deck looks like in the hands of a great player. The best players at my locals are on Branded, Kashtira-Snake Eyes, Rescue-Ace Snake Eyes, Yubel, Voiceless Voice, Pure Kash, and Floodgates plus another engine (Horus, Zoodiac, or Runick).
I’m still just waiting for the day they make more fox cards/a fox archetype that works- my name translates to “foxy” and i would die for something actually usable

I don’t see it in the comments, but the reason Z-Arc didn’t have an effect is because Zarc was negated because he didn’t use the Odd eyes pendulum dragon to banish off the trap, but used the lightwurm. So there wasn’t a “pendulum dragon” name in the banished zone

Now I hate the deck with all my passion
I also faced Vaalmonica for the first time today, and all it did was to end in bagooska. I won in the second turn with my gishki spright deck (2 Jet makes the difference).
