Just a little "NOTE"...! It might be a good "IDEA" to apply some dielectric grease on your electric connections. Especially the main power ones! (I speak from experience, as I have that same 93sv Garmin on my Titan, and had some "problems" after being on the water a few times!). You guys make it look SO Easy! Good job...
The screws you use for installation are S/S Screws (stainless steel 10-24 Fillister Head Screws, available from Amazon, in different lengths!)..The are used in Multiple places on Native Watercraft 'Yaks...!
Best part- the holes line up for the garmin. Was just installing my own transducer when i came across this video. Trying to figure out if mine is too low without damaging it trying to load it.
It’s crazy I can’t believe the amount of people I see on the internet having that problem and having to buy the yak hobby transducer mount. Didn’t even know of the issue until after I installed it. Got lucky with the model I guess😂 thanks for watching
ON my first Titan, I went through 2 transducers (got cracked on stumps in lake!), until I found I could use a Nylon Screw to hold the position on the "notch-swivel" mount that came with the transducer! No more broken 'Ducers (at $250 each from Lowrance) for ME! I gives enough to "ratchet between notches of original mount, and I can just re-position it when I hit a stump.
Really enjoying the series, can't wait for the xi3 install. People on the FB group are recommending the yakhobby mount I thought because the gt54 hung too low but this doesn't appear to stick out too much, why are people going with the yakhobby?
I honestly have no idea. I had no use for the yak hobby one the stock transducer mount in the Garmin box worked just fine for me. Just swapped the two screws from the scupper cap in the hatch and the screws on the transducer mounting area. Can’t give you an honest answer on that.
Thank you both! Great video! I bought the Titan X two weeks ago and I’ve been following your videos to upgrade my yak. I’m going to do my graph on Saturday.
Hey guys. I really appreciate this video and your previous videos. You guys take it step by step slowly for a beginner like myself. It’s not too fast but not too boring either. I’m looking forward to your motor guide installation instruction… super thanks again!!!
It's pretty cool I literally bought the same equipment wit the same kayak 2 weeks ago. Then I found this channel yesterday and its so cool to build this together
So do you have the bottom of the transducer pretty much even or flush with the bottom of the hull? Another great video from you guys, keep up the great work
Not necessarily the most relevant to this video, but I saw in a comment below that you mentioned you would be possibly interested in adding live scope to your kayak. Is it possible to use the G54 transducer AND buy the live scope transducer on the same monitor would would you have to buy a completely separate monitor?
I'm thinking about the New Garmin EchoMap UHD 10 inch, for my 12.5-X Titan, but don't know if the transducer will fit (it comes with the new #56 size transducer, which is longer...!). Haven't found any "specs." on the length needed to mount, so I haven't bought the Garmin yet...! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys, and you have a Nicely Set-Up 'Yak...!
One more thing, is there an even better model garmin that you’d get for the kayak? The one you have is pretty awesome but wi seeing if there is something even nicer.
I mean honestly value for money this one is really hard to beat. It’s really an awesome unit. The only thing I would change about this unit is maybe add livescope to it since I have the option for it? But that’s not really something on my mind.

Good point.

Advise for you, next time you heat shrink tubing please use a air dryer it shirinks the tubing without any damage perfectly.

Nice timing gentleman. This popped up while I have my kayak tied to a tree while I make something to eat.

Love it. Keep them coming. My kayak arrived so I’m following your videos.
As I'm in the market on one of these I legit just asked this question on transducer mounting on the Titan X. Great work. Next vid please!! 😊

Glad you enjoy it!
I just bought my x a week ago and I bought the same graph too😂😂

Yeah pretty close it worked fine when we went out the other day
Nice job guys!

Personally, I don’t fully know and I don’t want to give you the wrong info.

@@MSmith-jf5wo this transducer fit with plenty of room to spare. I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit.
Where you’d get that small rubber scupper plug from?
Comes with the kayak already installed

@@UntamedOutdoorsmen thanks for the quick answer.
Nice..was there a black plate on the bottom? I don't see on kn the Titan x 10.5. Thanks
No. Just threaded inserts
what yakattack mounting system did you use for youre fishfinder?
I used the HD base with the standard fish finder rectangular mount. I had to buy the HD base separate but it helps with stability
Can you still use side imaging with this mount?
I don’t see why not. It’s the stock Garmin mount
