It looks kind of interesting, I suppose as a beginning critique of this gameplay, I think when it comes to the journal entries, that the book is a little hard to read for us gamers who don't have our eyes glued next to the screen, it would be nice to be able to zoom in to the writing, maybe make the lettering a little easier to contrast in order to see what it says better.
I'm not sure I'm a big fan of the upgrading your arrows feature, I mean it's interesting idea, I suppose it only makes sense in like a dream sequence, and that's what this kind of looks like a dream sequence, it doesn't look like it's reflective of the actual gameplay to a degree, like I noticed that the Sun must have been moving really quickly because you could tell the tree shadows were moving, kind of bizarre obviously it's an early rendition of this game he's making, what I wonder is if it's just an Archer game? Because I want to use swords and shields and s***, I don't want to just use a bow and arrow, that to me seems a little too restrictive.

I'm not sure I understand what ESO is saying, he keeps mentioning the game has no textures, I'm seeing textures everywhere what the hell is he saying?
Like literally everything has a texture on it what is he talking about? Like the rocks have a text on them the grass has a texture the ground has a texture the trees the tree leaves the bark it's all the texture they got textures, so what does amen when there are no textures I don't understand his terminology in this case. Like is he referencing something else not textures?

Compared to being post level 10. Staves also lose their usefulness early game too.
The only thing that you couldn't do is play survival on top of it as it forces you to sleep and sleeping forces you to level up.

From what I understand Starfield's development drove quite a few people away from the company either during or after development. I've heard a few say that the dev team sizes blew up and people were spending more time in meetings than making the game. That's why despite having 5 times the developers Starfield took 8 years while earlier games took 2-3. I don't understand why they don't just have a dedicated Fallout team and a dedicated Elder Scrolls team. They could have the same number as they used to on each team and still have 300 people to make new things like Starfield.

Haven't finished watching the whole video yet but I think you have upwind and downwind backwards. If your flag is blowing to the left, that means enemies to the left can smell you as the wind takes your scent downwind, so your enemies are downwind and you are upwind. But enemies to your right cannot smell you since the wind doesn't carry your scent that way (upwind), so your enemies are upwind and you are downwind.

Problem is these big companies have also put in a stigma that your job is not stable, you could get laid off at any time no matter how hard you work, or how good your project does. Why would anyone with actual talent work for almost any big company in the gaming industry right now. BGS I think just recently unionized for that very reason, but still the stigma remains and people don't feel like they would have job security working for these companies right now. So all these companies can find right now to hire are people who may know how to code but are not creative, minority/diverse hires possibly with little experience or may be a bit radical but will make them look better on paper to investors as a big company, or people who work on a contract basis and go from company to company but are usually just programmers and usually do not help with the creative process. The gaming industry sounds like corpo hell right now...

this game already looks fun to play. archery was one of the gameplay aspects i really enjoyed in skyrim. i had to learn to be better with the bow, or be at a disadvantage. i love shooting things with my arrows. in every game i play, whenever i can, i'm the archer, the sharp-shooter, the ranged gunman. it's just satisfying to shoot at things from afar. the feeling of being on the hunt. of when the arrow hits the target... if you get it, you just get it. and i think this game gets it.

It becomes a lot less impressive when you start recognizing all the premade assets that keep being used by low budget games. Animations, objects, sounds... So many use the same premade asset packs. But still, it takes a competent developer to put it all together into something cohesive and fun instead of a "Day Before".

It has a rather Valheim feel to it. With the 2 "bosses" you were able to go up against it felt like Eikthyr and The Elder. Too much being hunted and less exploring for my tastes, but fun watching you play. Thank you.

    Looks like a cool game.
The only nit picks I have are the arrow fletches. at first it looked like you put them on the string the wrong way round, because the c*ck fletch should be facing away from the bow, but then later on in this showcase you see in the quiver the arrows only have 2 fletches, which would make the flight unstable. I would of liked to see this reflected in having a slight spread from where you are aiming. you can shoot arrows with only 2 fletches and it'll be fine, but only if they are opposite each other. Maybe they change as you unlock a new quiver or bow.
But like I said for a whole game, made by an indie developer, this was my only nit pick from someone who shoots competitively.
Well done to Nate for getting so much of the archery mechanics and details right. the player shoots split finger while shooting barebow, normally it'll be 3 under and string walking/face walking for closer distances and only split finger for shooting far. However if you look at the arrow nock, there is no way the arrow will remain on the string, so you have to shoot split finger anyway to pinch the arrow to hold it onto the string, very nice detail.

This is a very interesting game subject and approach and mechanics.
Needs a lot more to make it viable, like the ability to climb (press jump + activate buttons sort of) and various sprint jump, and a lot of equipment that gives buffs or debuffs, like making you quieter or less smelly, ability to create items from harvesting parts, etc.. Many npcs and a lot smarter enemies, especially predator creatures out there, that must definitelly have stalk capabilities and hunting of their own, tracking player over larger distances and have individual personality based on their own random stats..like a predator creature might decide to not pursue you seeing how good you take down others, or a hungry one to push through even though you're also great predator...etc...etc..

Stealth archer it is something primal, we are hunters after all. It was dominant strategy for a long time. I think it is something in our dna, we've been practicing it for a very long time, that being quite and using bow is like walking for a man.
I don't mean to brag but I was 2 sword enjoyer, until I tried stealth archer build.
