Man our builds are so similar other than TJ vs. JKU. I love the Atlas and still need to upgrade my Dana 30. Super sketchy running 37's. Your TJ looks amazing!
Love working with you guys. I am going to Currie even if Rubi Express continues to be available just as an upgrade, mostly for the Johnny Joints. ATO does great work and I always will recommend you guys to everyone on this channel!
@@_everydayoffroad_ we very much appreciate the love too! And we're always here to help if you ever need anything. I would go with Currie as well. Rubicon Express make some great products, but it's definitely a step-up to Currie. Keep up the awesome work; the Jeep looks amazing!
When I bought my Currie lift they had accidentally sent me 3” springs for the front and 4” for the rear. I thought my winch and bumper made the front sag a little and the rear would sit level with a tire carrier and 35” tire. Anyway, that’s why I didn’t catch that they had sent the wrong springs for almost two years and they still sent me a new set to make it right. Their customer service is amazing and they’re extremely knowledgeable about their products
If I ever changed cages I’d do the poison spyder drop in cage. I feel decent with my current cage though, it will atleast sturdy up the factory roll protection and adds windshield protection
Why didn't you consider Metalcloak short or long arm kit? They have great customer service and their joints truly have the most mis-alignment. Their patented design is true to their claims. I'm not a fan of the gold color so I painted mine black and only left the joint gold.
While I do believe metalcloak makes quality products, the Johnny joint seems to be superior choice by most. The metalcloak joints are made of a rubber compound material that are meant to help with self centering and on-street ride, but are known to wear quicker. I am going for strictly Offroad performance and have been told the Johnny Joint is the way to go.
Should take a look at Savvy and Rokmen midarm kits. The long arms even the rockkrawler ones dont have the right separation and geometry and short arms also get into bad antisquat/dive over 3” or so lift. The lower geared T case will make a night and day difference with a manual. Going with a 4” currie spring?
Sorry in advance for the long winded question, but I feel I need to do some explaining… I recently bought a 2002. The guy didnt know much about Jeeps, and he paid somebody for some “flashy” upgrades so his 17yo daughter could daily it. One of the upgrades was a Rough Country 2.5” lift. I know RC is trash, and Im accumulating parts to get it all replaced. Im debating on leaving the RC coils since it will be 99.9% on road. Since you made the comment on RC springs, whats your opinion?
Not necessarily true. Quality and lack there of still exists with the production of springs. For an on-road vehicle however, I’d keep the RC coils if you like how the Jeep looks and drives as is. I mostly am discussing Offroad performance in these videos
@@_everydayoffroad_ cool! I didn’t say there’s no difference, you get what you pay for, OBVIOUSLY, I said to not make it a priority. I have beat the shit out of these RC springs for 3 years. Daily driven, in between Wyoming and Colorado every weekend, with hard wheeling and general harsh driving in between. Have not had a single issue. Only thing I’ve ever heard was that the progressive rate springs on the top can weaken over time, which RC will replace for free. Don’t get me wrong I’m planning on upgrading, but your coil springs are NEVER going to be the reason you can do an obstacle and somebody else can’t or vice/versa.
I ordered a 15 1/2” driveshaft from Tom Woods. Meaning at normal driveline conditions my measurement from the transfer case yoke to the new Dana 44 pinion was about 15 1/2”. Yours could vary slightly depending on which SYE you have, but should be somewhat similar.
finally, a youtuber that doesn't just buy whatever the sales rep tells you to buy!!!
This jeep looks perfect! So jealous.
Thank you!

Come back by the shop (Alabama Truck Outfitters) and we can certainly get Rubicon Express products if you'd like to continue using their products.

Thanks man!
You thought about Barnes 4wd long arm kit ? Its a diy kit but very affordable.
3 years on Currie arms/springs with my TJ, absolutely perfect no issues
Great to hear 👍🏼
Got a TJ and love the video for inspiration!
Thanks for watching!

Excited to deal with Currie. I’ve always heard they are the gold standard
I know your safe when you wheel but In the future are you going to upgrade the roll cage
If I ever changed cages I’d do the poison spyder drop in cage. I feel decent with my current cage though, it will atleast sturdy up the factory roll protection and adds windshield protection
What bar is that behind the rear passengers , is that the rear bar that mounts normally higher
That’s part of the smittybilt cage that is usually mounted more toward the top of the factory roll bar
I’m running the core 4x4 teir 3 love them
Core makes great arms as well 👍🏼
Best build ever!
Thank you!
I wish I had half doors
They’re the best!
Maybe I missed it. What inch front highline motobuilts did you get? 0, 2, or 4”?

Interesting to hear that. Looking forward to a 70mile review Lol 😆
OOps, meant to say 70k mile. Lol. Will be good to see long term review, but I'm sure you're already planning that video.

The savvy mid arm did catch my eye. Yeah 4” Currie springs so I’ll technically be going down 0.5”. Shouldn’t make much ride height difference
I’m running all Currie arms as well, best upgrade in my opinion
Great to hear. They’re supposed to be too notch.

I still run the RC springs. Upgraded everything else but they are fine. A spring is a spring. I wouldn't make it a priority.

What drive shaft did you end up getting exactly. Cause i am about to do the same axle swap and would like to have it ready
