Those registration plates are NZ plates (or at least, the same design and font) very cool - however at that period they would have been black with silver lettering! A30s were imported as semi-kits and assembled at a plant in Wellington, in the 1950s - a quick google reveals that this car was very likely one of those cars (exported to Santa Cruz from NZ at some stage in its life).
