Matt, yes it does. Front would work better for me because when I hang the upper rack on it, I utilize S hooks to hang additional tools off the rack. You can see that in my other videos. I’m hopeful, I might be able to mount them out front instead of back. Thanks for checking in!
Sambo, what Weber part number was the griddle you show in the video which fits in the SmokeFire? I called Weber and they claimed there is no Weber made griddle that is compatiable with my Smokefire Sear+ ELX6.....Thanks!
Bill, they obviously don’t know their product past the web pages. The cook box and cook grates are identical between the SmokeFire and the SearWood…. So, the griddle that fits the SearWood WILL fit the SF. Tell their sales dept. to check out my video. Just a heads up, the Smokefire probes are too small for the Searwood. The new probe is about 10 x better than the Smokefire ones anyhow. Also, before you get the side shelf for the Searwood, you only have two castors on the new grill to move it around. That shelf will cover the only handle you have to steer the grill around (unless the handle will be exposed when the shelf is folded down.) I think you’re going to love this grill.
@@sambosplace since 2020. Plenty issues, but all have been resolved pretty quickly at no expense to me. It’s still going strong, but I’m getting envious of the new toy.
Unfortunately…. I wasn’t granted a trade in so to speak. It’s a 100 day buy back deal, and they were kind enough to allow me to keep the dogged SmokeFire until the new SearWood shipped. They did a refund, and a new retail order subtracted from my refund….If you have time, check out the previous videos where I go into detail with Jesse C. Stay tuned, I’m gonna give objective reviews of the SearWood.
I hope the SearWood works out. What a crazy run it’s been with the junk fire
As you have seen, it has presented some quality smokes…. And at other times, it has lived up to that moniker. 😉
The new Searwood has clips on the back of the grill to hold the grill grates. I would think the clips on the back are a better design.

Bradley, thanks for the heads-up. Yes. I’m aware they’re different and that you only get one. Thank goodness for me Meater! Enjoy your cooks
I got all this....I'm gonna try it
You go man!! Good luck, keep the hood down first to really heat it up! Enjoy your cooks!
How an I trade in my smokefire for a Searwood?
How long have you owned it? Have you contacted CS with any issues?
