      That's so interesting... it's so true... Nirvana made his life, his best memories are with his band, and his friend... it made him rich, and famous.... but by far the worst thing that ever happened to him in Kurt dying... you can tell how sad, and changed he is... It's so terrible because he probably loves remembering the great times, but it probably hurts so bad every time he does.. poor bastard... would probably trade all the money, and fame for his friend back.

      I think he went to school at some point in Washington state, as that's where history says he and Kurt met and started the many forms of nirvana over the years. It seems those guys could find a groove and it sound great. .plus their sense of humor. .I don't know. .he seems like he would be a great guy to be friends with and learn things from

      David Anderson He supported them because he didn't believe the conspiracy that he was murdered.. which was his opinion.. no one knows if he was murdered or not so you can't say he supported his murderers... Because they may not even be his murderers.. Chances are Krist had a better idea than you if Kurt was depressed or suicidal considering they were friends and bandmates so they would of been close.

    • @davidanderson7199
      @davidanderson7199 7 років тому +1

      it is impossible that he did not know he was murdered. he was too close to kurt to NOT know he was NOT suicidal. because of his proximity, he knew lots of particulars which all supported the fact that kurt did not kill himself and that he was murdered. everyone who has seen soaked in bleach KNOWS he was murdered, unequivocally. he knowingly supported he murderers. you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out once you see soaked in bleach that 1. he was murdered, 2. his bandmate knew he was murdered because of their proximity to him and they knew particulars like that he was NOT depressed and that he wanted a divorce, for instance but they probably knew even more things which i can only speculate about. 3. krist spend years supporting the murderers with gusto for years and years, even after soaked in bleach came out.
      why did he do that? he mustve been bought. somehow he was bought and it was in his interest to advocate for the murderers. it is horrible. really horrible and it personally sickens me and i find him offensive when he speaks because of it. i find him offensive and horrifying and i am disturbed by this mindless drones who want to lionize this guy when he really collaborated in the obstruction of justice in the murder of someone who was so close to him and who was so responsible for enriching his life. i think it is horrible and i am horrified when i see him live doing anything. karma is going to eat his ass for lunch.

      here's a news flash for you. krist knew from the beginning that kurt was murdered. he had to. he knew too many particulars about his life before he was murdered, like for instance that he was not suicidal and wanted a divorce and etc, and krist heard about all the controversy surrounding the investigation of his death unlike the wider public. he knew he was murdered and yet he persisted in supporting the suicide mythology for years and years, even AFTER soaked in bleach came out and it became obvious that she killed him for his money, krist kept lying in a despicable way. the reason why he did that is because he took a cut of money after she killed him also. that is the only explanation. he is not hurting from kurt's death. what you see in his 'eyes' is only the ding dong feather's in your head. how can you be so stupid. i just don't understand being that stupid. and i smoke pot every single day, i aint no rocket scientist, but i mean this is obvious. obvious. how pathetic, 'see in his eyes', yeah, your ding dong feathers floating around in your head instead of brain matter. i don't like being rude, but this is too much. he lied about kurt being murdered. the only reason he lied is because he took money from courtney that she inherited after she killed kurt, that is the only reason he lied for years and years and years even after soaked in bleach came out. it is more than shameful, it is horrifying, it is disturbing, it is sickening, it is a horror show. kurt was his classmate, his bandmate, his supposed friend, his relation and the person most responsible for enriching his life and he is so beholden to the person that murdered him that he will lie to protect murderers for over 20 years. freaking horror show. how can you miss something so obvious.

      Not true, there are tons of unknown bands with great talent. the market wont sign them, advertise them and make them mainstream. thus, the heads at record companies would rather sign the Brittany spears, Justin biebers and nikki minaj's of the world/. bands are not cool in the eyes of the record company execs, these 80 year old European men who set the tone of what is in and what is out and what is cool and what is not in America. no wonder no one sees anything special going on today.,

      Not even remotely close. Dave Grohl will never compare to Kurt Cobain (his mentor and hero) and Nirvana (a band that will always stand the test of time), Foo Fighters have a ton of commercial top 40 crap that Kurt Cobain would have hated to have been associated with. Dave loves the spotlight and fame so of course he wrote a bunch of schmoozy top 40 radio stuff for the albums.

    Bass players can learn a lot from this guy. Nirvana produced 3 legit studio albums, a live record, some singles, comps, you know your right, The lights out boxset and whatever incesticide is (a cool album is what) and came speeding past us in the blink of eye with some lightning in a bottle. Because of that short burst of magic, and the way they changed the game on the big world stage, They alone can be called The Beatles of their generation. No other band has had the same impact before or since.

    I read somewhere that Dave initially asked him to be FF's bassist when he was putting the band together.
    Krist told him,"If I'm a part of it, your music won't be fairly judged, they'll just see it as 'the Nirvana guys trying to carry on without Kurt'. You've created something new and separate, you need a new, separate bass player."

    Nirvana music invoked deep feelings in me, and one of the last concerts of Nirvana in Ljubljana where I got luck to be present, gave me so much inspiration, it was incredible concert, last full Nirvana concert (or maybe there was one more I dont know) and Kurt gave all he could there, if you were there you could feel something sacred... Im sorry but FF doesnt invoke much in me, Im just truthful, I dont say its bad band or something, its just doesnt move me thats all. Kris give me that special nice feelings, its like he stayed there frozen with Nirvana, like he is still there in timeless sphere that Nirvana music is and like that he is more sacred and special to me like Dave, again Im not saying FF music is bad or Dave is bad musician, but its like FF story somehow destroyed that sacred timelesness, that Kris is still in it....Kurt hated fame and Dave enjoy it, they are like 2 opposite forcess, and fame didnt destroyed Kurt sacredness he stayed there in Divine embrace !

      Foo Fighters SUCK. I'm sorry to have to say but Kurt would be rolling in his grave. It's literally everything he was against. Completely soft commercial bubblegum rock pop with none of the edge, emotion, weirdness, personality, originality, impact of Nirvana. Looking at the whole history of Nirvana it becomes clear that Dave was completely at odds with Kurt's constant effort to keep Nirvana uncompromising and true to his creative vision. Where as Dave very quickly came out and did everything in his power to make Foo Fighters as conformist as possible to the sensibilities of soft pop accessibility.

      I think both bands are great. But I see Nirvana to Foo Fighters as I see Goodfellas to Casino. Both great movies, and Casino was the more refined film of the two, but it was missing one key ingredient that made the other one so great.
      I think Nirvana hit a much deeper emotional note than Foo Fighters, but it's not a knock at Foo Fighters at all, as Nirvana probably hit that note deeper and in way that sets them apart from any other band ever did. And guess what. Dave was a part of that. Kurt was Liotta to Dave's Dinero; isolating the two films from the rest of both actors' work.

  • @dmoskianss2723
    @dmoskianss2723 3 роки тому +2

    Kurt was his friend before nirvana, he knew him before the fame, they were genuine friends. I'm not saying Dave wasn't friends with kurt, but what brang them together was different. Growing up with someone and being close before success, chances are their relationship will be alot deep. Krist had his soul ripped apart when kurt died since at the point he would of know kurt for literally half his entire life.. Dave on the other hand knew Kurt for a good 5 years and obviously they were friends also, but there was less time to bond and become close friends with.
    I think Dave had that advantage too of not knowing kurt as well as krist did, as it seems Krist took a much harder hit emotionally where the music died with kurt for him as they bonded over it together and then created music together. whereas Dave already loved music independently, so therefore was able to move forward alot easier than krist.
    Props to Dave also for his post-nirvana success im sure it was still difficult to say the least, but i can't help but feel for Krist man. He was always smiling before now he seems like his lost that child-like spirit and heart.
