AMAZING…. To take on Dark Side of the Moon shows these guys have the highest, highest levels of skill and musicianship…and..still made it their own. Mind blowing!!
I just came off a long drive and was sitting down in my hotel room imbibing a bit when I came across this. I'm 60. The DSOTM easily ranks up there in the cultural landscape like a continent unto itself. It's a pretty presumptuous task to try and "cover" this album. What a wonderfully unexpected delite! This is incredible musicianship - crisp and tight, yet loose with the flow that comes from excelling at ones craft.

Guys, I have been a lifelong fan of Pink Floyd! I put this album on with the lights out and candles burning and just completely float away. You did real good by them! And on a side note, the gentleman on the keys is phenomenal, not to mention your drummer and the bass player. The lead goes without saying but the keyboardest / pianist Has the voice of an angel and I hope I hear him sing again. ❤
Hey, band. Negative people are just gonna be negative. I've loved Pink Floyd and this album since I was 8. Dark Side, in particular, I've probably listened to THOUSANDS of times. I know every note, every background vocal, every nuance to Clare Torre's monster vocals. That album is perfect. This, what you all have done here, is NOT the original. It's not a perfect facsimile of the original masterpiece. The drums are... more. The guitar solos aren't David Gilmour's style. The bass is different. But isn't that the point? You guys took something amazing, something I've always loved, and you paid an incredible homage to it. I've heard live versions of Great Gig, performed BY Pink Floyd, that were far less impressive. Bottom line, I think you all knocked this out of the park. I, for one, am immensely impressed. Thanks for posting this video
dafoosballer Exactly! That’s why they are called covers; you get to put your own distinctive touch. If only these expert critics were more open minded they would enjoy this great song from a different perspective
"You guys took something amazing, something I've always loved, and you paid an incredible homage to it." "Incredible homage"? Uhh, I'd speak for yourself there. This is just another dull copy among other copies among other copies...among a few other copies.. ad infinitum.
BRAVO!!!! I’m a rabid Pink Floyd fan. You did the album justice. You were faithful to the original music but we’re still able to enhance it with your own original sound. Very talented musicians!
No one can top the recording. Not even the vocalists that Pink Floyd got to tour with them for the live shows. The emotion that was captured in the original was just magical That said, this cover is amazing in its own way
Quero parabenizar esse gr⁴upo em português do Brasil. Amante que sou de Pink Floyd, raramente vi interpretação tão original, sem descaracterizar a obra. Confesso que me emocionei com o trabalho go grupo. Sigam enfrente, vocês são excepcionais.
in addition: "right on. it's time for that psychedelic shirt!" 😎 big fan of this guy and his circle of keyboards and synths. perfect combo of musicality and nerdiness.
i agree, but he´s an awesome drummer, he overplay at the end of each song, to make them even more emotional and explosive, because he can do that hahaha, dont forget this is a cover. in my humble opinion
I relished every bit of it, thanks Martin for covering this. This has every element to eleviate all the debilitating stress of the week on a Friday night. So much harmony, my heart sank into the flow of it. Dark side is an endless loop and recording it in one go makes it all the more romantic.
Let’s hear it for Jenny Marsala👏👏👏👏👏. Straight got chills when she started the vocals on Great Gig in the Sky!! That has never happened before. Outstanding!!
5. The Great Gig in the Sky....i cry....tears are running down my face...an ocean of tears....so beautiful, wonderful, lovely......i cry bitter tars now...just in this moment.....oh,this is absolutely gorgeous....
I was enjoying this, thinking how good it was, then Great Gig started, and I knew it wasn't just good, it was fabulous. Thank you. The young lady has an incredible voice.
I can't believe this girl's voice in 'The Great Gig In The Sky'!!! So emotional, It made me shiver! Simply fantastic, congrats for your work!!! Greetings from Brazil!!!
So much "I'm a Pro Drummer, did not like the drummers style", comments... Daaaaaamn, man, if you read the comments, GREAT JOB!!! I loved the feel you gave to the songs and enjoyed every second! An overall outstanding approach by All of you guys...
Absolutely. This album is full of crazy time signatures and complicated switches, and I came to specifically comment that the drummer actually held this thing together. First on “Time” where the guitarist was consistently a full beat behind on the intro, and if it weren’t for his timing later on, when the guitar and (especially) tenor went off the ranch, they would still be noodling away on their dueling solos for Money. (BTW that tenor player is talented, but has he ever HEARD this album? Melodic structure is important to rock songs. The keyboardist understands!! Us & Them was close but it’s the only one where the sax can afford to fool around the least.)
Wow! I am a Pink Floyd purist. I was completely blown away by your interpretation. Blown away. It was the perfect balance of adherence to the original with magical new elements that brought the piece into the modern era. Congratulations! Brilliant Work!
I bought the album the week it was released. I was 23. Lived with this music in my head for the next 51 years. Now I hear your interpretation and there was I thinking that there was nothing new under the sun. Fantastic. Great Gig in the Sky wonderful, such a great version. Thank you .............. all is in tune. John
Firstly BRAVO for your undertaking. You have chosen to put your own stamp on the output of arguably one of the finest bands of our time. That takes moxi. And I reckon you deserve the highest praise for even attempting such an undertaking. Without knowing much about the band besides thier published works and a few youtube exposes (opeds?) on it's members I reckon it's fair to say they didn't release any material until it was EXACTLY the sound they wanted. And that sound for me was and is amazing. The video of the stge show Pulse still evokes strong emotions in me for its visceral qualities and technical mastery by the band members. So you're not Floyd but what you are is brave and clearly very competent musicians in your own right. All the best and stay strong! Bravo!
This made me cry. My father was a HUGE Pink Floyd fan. You guys knocked this out of the park. When we listened this entire album watching the Super Moon Lunar Eclipse years ago... it was so surreal being in Vermont with the clear skies and such a fun night him and I... watching the moon and the stars and the sky changed, drinking Budweiser’s and hanging as father and son. It was only a moment God could create. THANK YOU for reminding me of that time
Alot of times when i hear songs i say to my self "theres more room to have fun in there" finally a drummer who gets it ! This was fantastic never change the way you play !
Absolutely freaking incredible guys!!! Masterpiece. I would of paid thousands to be in that room at that time. I’m a huge fan already. Somebody needs to begin offering their take on these album’s from the 70’s. Hope I see more.
Pink Floyd моя радость - люблю слушать их произведения в любых вариациях , каждое новое исполнение привносит новые краски , новые ощущения , новый Кайф , чему мы с вами в данный момент становимся сведетелями . Желаю всем удовольствия ...
Hey guys, I was a technician behind the scenes in the 80s. Friends, I've heard and seen so much worse, but rarely so much good. This one is beyond great. It's definitely outstanding. It's stage-ready for more than 10,000 people. They'll all be standing there afterwards shouting for an encore. I'm absolutely sure of that. Your own brilliant, fantastic interpretation of "Any Colour You Like". What was that? I was glued and blown away. Thank you for this upload, for this perfect performance. Keep up the good work. All the best and love.
Love this take-no-prisoners approach! This is just my humble take: I went many times like: "Yesss!", not just the overall, virtuoso performance by all, but even small details. For example: 23:15 - I caught myself yelling at Marius Leicht, who is awesome on that Hammond A-102: "Take out the C-3 chorus, man!" 23:20 - Bang! He takes it out and it sounds butter smooth! Goosebumps! Or: 3:40 when Felix Lehrmann uses rhythmic displacement on the hi hats, staying perfectly on time. I'm like: "Damn, this is awesome!" Or adding a tension note to a chord, making it sound so much richer. We have the fantastic original, here we get all the additional parts we imagined in our heads. But that's just me....
Yes indeed. Except one little pitch bend around 11:50, the rest is pretty flawless. She made it her own, didn't try to emulate the original, didn't overdo it. Interesting performance.
I actually disagree. I was very disappointed with that performance more than the overdrumming. She started out really promising and then choked in her comeback.
I was really enjoying the first half and then she seemed under-mixed in the second half. There's also some clutch vocal fry she missed, which I know can be a personal vocal trait but I missed it here.
I'll put my pennies worth in. So many are knocking various aspects of this compilation of Pink Floyd pieces. Namely the drummer is getting thumbs down often. Don't people realise that song covers aren't intended to replace or even identically mimic the originals? They're only covers and acts that perform them are putting their own spin accordingly. I say congratulations guys. An exceptional job on all fronts from all of you. David Gilmour would be impressed, I'm sure of it. 🤗👍👌
what a set of performance! you realise how difficult are Pink Floyd songs are to play and get a descent feel. These guys are the next level!. I envy them
No matter what you guys say, this is the bands own take on Floyd and is brilliant in its own right, they have certainly put their own feel to it which is how it should be.
bass deserves to get more credit. most people can either play musical or shred. there are very few who can do both at the same time. it's amazing how he always finds a way to do his own thing while maintaining the character of the original. btw, no disrespect to the rest of the band. you're all amazing. love what you're doing on this channel!
Que bueno que nuevas generaciones disfruten y que no se pierda la musica de la mejor banda de la historia. Tengo 63 años y los escucho desde mis 12 años. 🙌🌈❤
Admission: drummer & serious Floyd fan. Comment: a truly joyous representation of a seminal album. Love the warmth of the arrangements, love the GGITS vocals (tough piece!). Drummer is a weird fish, sometimes successfully filling & riffing to perfection (though more strikes than many of us could make work), other times seemingly gratuitous with filling. I bet he’s bloody awesome 😎. Subbed 😁
Absolutely incredible. People are giving the drums all sorts of hell, but not those wicked guitar lines?! It was your version, and I think it was great. Well done fellas.. and lady 😏
Just absolutely awesome. Great job everyone, especially the backing vocals, she needs to tour with PF, you all do. If I was listening right, I believe you are pink floyd
Wow, I did not know people can play so well live! Incredible!!!! Great job, and sooooo dificult to play this live, so complex! Wow and again wow. All the settings and preparations, Nuts!!!! So perfect. Thank you sooooo much.
Dear Lateros: This is not Pink Floyd, is a technical cover from a great band. Stop saying that the drummer blablablá. If you wanna hear Pink Floyd just search Pink Floyd.
If that is the case, Why do you think that the drummer is the only one playing outside the musical essence of Pink Floyd here? Drummer fucked the entire vibes of the proyect. Period.
This album is almost sacred to me. I'm not a huge Floyd fan but this album has a special place in my heart. I almost didn't want to listen to this but, I'm glad I did. Also glad it wasn't note for note to the album. I would buy this.
My second comment here. Especially for the critics! A few years ago I was talking about music with my grandson and I started talking about The Beatles. After a couple of minutes he said "Who were they?" He had never heard of them and, naturally had never heard any of their music. My first musical love is Classical music which continues to be performed, sometimes, hundreds of years after the original performances. Unfortunately we will never know what the originals sounded like. My point is this: If no one performs contemporary popular music it will die! This performance was not perfect but it was still quite incredible to hear original recorded music played with such conviction by people who have a genuine love and desire to make this music accessible to future generations. Those of us who love the music of our generation should promote its popularity. At least we can compare performances by others with the originals. We have no idea what the symphonies of Beethoven sounded like when they were first performed. The music of Pink Floyd and many others, including The Beatles, should be performed for hundreds of years into the future. So please give these guys a break. They are already one generation removed from the original performers. I would love to know that many generations into the future this music will still attract large audiences at live concerts in the same way as Classical music does now. What do you think?
Hi Frank ~ Your comments are quite on point (I'll spare going over each one, which would be ridiculously absurd LoL), but I trust that you're doing your "grandfatherly duty" and pouring every note (and early Beatles press conference & movie) into your grandson.... (said jokingly) "Shame on his parents for not raising him properly" LoL ~ There's tons of classic pop music out there for us all to enjoy... Feel bad for those who are stuck in a rut of listening only to one (or two) genres or a small handful of artists (e.g. only heavy metal/hard rock/grunge - - only Led Zep, Sabbath, Deep Purple OR only R&B/ Rap & Hip-Hop) == So many other musical colors to enjoy!!!! Concert tix are SO EXPENSIVE nowadays, so since "commercial radio" isn't what it used to be (a variety of styles) that's not a good source to draw from (of course), but thankfully there's UA-cam and many other online sources available.... It isn't so much "listen to everything out there and PICK WHAT YOU LIKE" but (instead) listen to everything, from Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Handel, Stravinsky and Varese to everything after that = bluegrass, cajun/zydeco, americana folk, blues, bebop, big band swing, west coast cool, fusion, doo-wop, early rockabilly, the crooners (Sinatra, Torme, Bennett), Beatles, Stones, Doors, Hendrix, Carole King, Simon & Garfunkel, Dylan, Beach Boys, Motown, Pink Floyd, Santana, (early 1970s)Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Average White Band, Tower Of Power, Blood Sweat & Tears, Sons Of Champlin, Toto, Eagles, Peter Frampton Comes Alive, Electric Light Orchestra, Heart, Foreigner, Fleetwood Mac (pre & post Buckingham Nicks), Stevie Wonder, Emerson Lake Palmer, Yes, Rush, Dream Theater, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Satriani, Steve Lukather (solo), Michael Jackson, Prince, Steely Dan, Boston (debut album), The Who, Thievery Corporation, Bob Marley, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Queen, U2, etc, etc.... listen to everything and learn to appreciate all styles, genres, even if it's not "your cup of tea"... Can't believe he's never heard the Beatles :( .....what a crime!!
@@Roostermania2010 You are absolutely spot on! Just like you I enjoy a huge variety of music. The purists have, with respect to contemporary music, the advantage of listening to the originals. My original point is that contemporary music must be performed by newer generations otherwise it will die. Inevitably it will be interpreted slightly differently. With regards to Pink Floyd, for example, have you heard Brit Floyd? Different take - not the original but they sell out every gig so people obviously enjoy them. I'm sure original concert goers would not agree with many modern interpretations of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, etc. But as you agree that isn't the point. The point is that the music continues to be played and enjoyed. Thanks for reminding me of Boston's first album. I've got the first track going through my head now from memory. Lesser known bands should be remembered too. Do you know The Motors: Dancing the Night Away - for example?
it amazing to me how many times i come back to this video to watch it from beginning to end !! "any colour you like is actually better than the original , can you imagine !! WOW ! congrats lads , you absolutely Rock

KRAPF I respectfully disagree. I thought the drummer was great.
AMAZING…. To take on Dark Side of the Moon shows these guys have the highest, highest levels of skill and musicianship…and..still made it their own. Mind blowing!!
Jenny brought tears to my eyes! The great gig in the sky..😇
Ok, Jim.
I just spent 41 minutes of my life to see this incredible execution. Many thanks to those musicians, each musical note weighed weighed about 10 tons.
1:40 - hmm... sounds cool 3:20 - nice interior by the way
5:20 - I'm stayng here to live
11:00 - beautiful
11:34 - HOOOOOLY MOTHER OF GOD !!!
11:50 - goosebumps, hairstand
12:00 - i'm crying
13:00 - still crying like a child
15:20 - I'm done. I think i just receive a forgiveness of sins.

23:30 - I can fly
29:50 - Kung Fu ninja

Guys, I have been a lifelong fan of Pink Floyd! I put this album on with the lights out and candles burning and just completely float away. You did real good by them! And on a side note, the gentleman on the keys is phenomenal, not to mention your drummer and the bass player. The lead goes without saying but the keyboardest / pianist Has the voice of an angel and I hope I hear him sing again. ❤
How wonderful. Perfect. Gilmour and Roger must be so proud of you all . Congratulations here from Brazil.
That little girl Jenny with the huge vocal chords in The Great Gig in the Sky omg, goosebumps several times!
agreed !!
If only these expert critics were more open minded they would enjoy this great song from a different perspective
roloenweston damn Nice people using the internet, fits the surreal sound of Dark side of the moon
Spot on my friend. This is not perfect copy but an incredibly impressive and fabulous tribute to such a perfect album. Hats off to them!
"You guys took something amazing, something I've always loved, and you paid an incredible homage to it."
"Incredible homage"? Uhh, I'd speak for yourself there. This is just another dull copy among other copies among other copies...among a few other copies.. ad infinitum.
Good point tho
47 years later and it inspire again a new generation
BRAVO!!!! I’m a rabid Pink Floyd fan. You did the album justice. You were faithful to the original music but we’re still able to enhance it with your own original sound. Very talented musicians!
From 11:36 a vocal performance that could light the dark side of the moon. Wow
Not even comparable to the voice in the original
Shit it’s a solid competition. This cover girl has some pipes no doubt about it. Beautiful pitch
@@FMEjerks it's not comparable at all, but she's so expressive, i love her voice, touch The soul
@@FMEjerks I bet you're fun at parties
No one can top the recording. Not even the vocalists that Pink Floyd got to tour with them for the live shows. The emotion that was captured in the original was just magical
That said, this cover is amazing in its own way
From France, groupe qui sait respecter une reprise avec une touche perso... So perfect ❤️
All around beautiful. Jenny's vocals tho, damn with the goosebumps.
❤️🙏🏼
“This is not Pink Floyd”
Yea obliviously!
I love all parts of this. Brings so much emotion through each instrument.
Obviously*
snot Floyd,, but fuck it's good.....
Quero parabenizar esse gr⁴upo em português do Brasil. Amante que sou de Pink Floyd, raramente vi interpretação tão original, sem descaracterizar a obra. Confesso que me emocionei com o trabalho go grupo. Sigam enfrente, vocês são excepcionais.
11:36 was goosebumps and misty eyes and the most delightful surprise I've experienced in a long, long time... 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️
The keyboard man is like: "finally I've got the chance to use all those effects!!"
With "all those effects" you mean all ten of his fingers?!
in addition: "right on. it's time for that psychedelic shirt!" 😎 big fan of this guy and his circle of keyboards and synths. perfect combo of musicality and nerdiness.
Definitivamente!
What about the drummer ha ha
Marius Leicht - Keyboards
Martin, please release this as an album. I could cheat and download this, but boy have you earned it!
11:36 I DID NOT EXPECT THAT! 😍 Amazing voice! 😍
A good drummer is not the one who play more and more, is the one who play what the song needs
Fully agree.
Yes... in that perspective, Nick Mason is so underappreciated, he was perfect for their music
i agree, but he´s an awesome drummer, he overplay at the end of each song, to make them even more emotional and explosive, because he can do that hahaha, dont forget this is a cover. in my humble opinion
Talented drummer for sure. But this dude over plays on some of the songs.
Este muchacho es una bestia, Mendez!!! Uno de los mejores que he visto.
oh myyyyyyyyy goddd!!!!!!! that solo section in "any colour" 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
SO AAWESOMEEEEEE
Shoutouts to the excellent bass player and the flawless mixing. Favourite moment, when the bassist savagely drops down one octave on 19:45.
I have never been so captivated for 40 minutes...
Absolutely breathtaking.
I relished every bit of it, thanks Martin for covering this. This has every element to eleviate all the debilitating stress of the week on a Friday night. So much harmony, my heart sank into the flow of it. Dark side is an endless loop and recording it in one go makes it all the more romantic.
10/10. Like listening to an old friend who has grown and is a new, surprising person yet is still so familiar. Thanks y’all
Ein pures Gegenstuck zu dem was Deutschland momentan an "Musik" präsentieren kann. Einfach klasse :)
Let’s hear it for Jenny Marsala👏👏👏👏👏. Straight got chills when she started the vocals on Great Gig in the Sky!! That has never happened before. Outstanding!!
Nobody's talking about this, but this is one of the best moments I've ever had listening to music
" The Great Gig in the Sky " é a minha preferida e parabéns à cantora, que voz maravilhosa.
An overall outstanding approach by All of you guys...
hear hear me lad.
agree great job
Martin Miller and session band you are super!!! BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!!! With love from Orenburg (Russia).
Bravo, bravo, bravo. Vraiment excellent. Une superbe interprétation de cet album que je trouve être le meilleur de tous les temps. bravo !
Wow! I am a Pink Floyd purist. I was completely blown away by your interpretation. Blown away. It was the perfect balance of adherence to the original with magical new elements that brought the piece into the modern era. Congratulations! Brilliant Work!
It's nice to see the drummer of the Pink Floyd finally play well.
John
All the best to you, John!
Probably the best coverage of this. EVER!

Bravo!
40 Minuten purer Freude! Einfach geil Jungs und Mädels, wahnsinns Menschen, wahnsinns Musiker. Ist einfach nur ein Fest sich das anzuhören/anzusehen!
THANK YOU for reminding me of that time
Best cover of this album I’ve ever heard. And I’ve had the pleasure of seeing both David Gilmore and the cover band Wish You Were Here in concert.

Absolutely freaking incredible guys!!! Masterpiece. I would of paid thousands to be in that room at that time. I’m a huge fan already. Somebody needs to begin offering their take on these album’s from the 70’s. Hope I see more.
The drummer is not sleeping, eating or doing anything else but playing drums in his life. Best drummer ever.
Amazing job, Mr. Miller. The whole band is amazing. Fabulous!
whatever the critty comments here this does nothing to diminish this well crafted spotlight on one timeless sublime piece of work
Pink Floyd моя радость - люблю слушать их произведения в любых вариациях , каждое новое исполнение привносит новые краски , новые ощущения , новый Кайф , чему мы с вами в данный момент становимся сведетелями .
The original was released in march of 1973 and 48 years later remains full of meaning., full of live. Thanks!
The woman who did The Great Gig In the Sky did amazing!
I thought her performance was good, but mixed too low, she should be louder in context to the rest of the arrangement.
CBuT_17 undiscovered talent she is. That song can take years to learn. She was excellent
I envy them
Genuinely enjoyed this. Live recording of a classic. Kudos!
Outstanding.... Great job everyone involved, 5 stars!!!
Jenny Marsala is so so so so amazing, love her vocal part
your voice is so perfect for Us and Them, it was just delightful to listen to you guys, well done.
Agreed, that's my favourite song here!
idk guys i really like it, it's a cover, it's not supposed to sound the same
No matter what you guys say, this is the bands own take on Floyd and is brilliant in its own right, they have certainly put their own feel to it which is how it should be.
@Jenny Marsala THE GREATEST GIG VOICE CAME FROM THE SKY!!!! LOVE IT from the Philippines 🇵🇭 More COVERSTOCOME 11:48
bass deserves to get more credit. most people can either play musical or shred. there are very few who can do both at the same time. it's amazing how he always finds a way to do his own thing while maintaining the character of the original.
btw, no disrespect to the rest of the band. you're all amazing. love what you're doing on this channel!
Que bueno que nuevas generaciones disfruten y que no se pierda la musica de la mejor banda de la historia. Tengo 63 años y los escucho desde mis 12 años. 🙌🌈❤
The energy in that room is electrifying
Goosebumps in the "The Great Gig in the Sky"... Geeezzzz, you're amazing!!!!!! Jenny Marsala, whatta voice!!!!
Subbed 😁
Sparky Dave The drummer almost reminds me that he is attempting to jazz the songs up a bit. The 70s drug hallucination style is out.
Absolutely incredible. People are giving the drums all sorts of hell, but not those wicked guitar lines?! It was your version, and I think it was great. Well done fellas.. and lady 😏
The guitar is so good, but it's reduced by the bombastic drums.
D Day creative pauses are great 👍. They also set a mood
The guitar lines fit quite well... but the ghost notes, not really...
Dear Lateros:
This is not Pink Floyd, is a technical cover from a great band. Stop saying that the drummer blablablá. If you wanna hear Pink Floyd just search Pink Floyd.
Oml thanks
@Лоло Козлов A cover doesn't have to be totally the same thing, as long as it sounds close enough.
Dear Lateros jasdhjadj
Álvaro Orellana
Yes!!!!! Thank you!!! I thought it was sick! They ALL embellished their parts!
If that is the case, Why do you think that the drummer is the only one playing outside the musical
essence of Pink Floyd here? Drummer fucked the entire vibes of the proyect. Period.
This album is almost sacred to me. I'm not a huge Floyd fan but this album has a special place in my heart. I almost didn't want to listen to this but, I'm glad I did. Also glad it wasn't note for note to the album. I would buy this.
Every Pink Floyd cover band deserves their place in heaven, automatically. Et punctum.
Absolutely spectacular - loved listening to this realization of one of my favorite albums of all time.
My point is this:
If no one performs contemporary popular music it will die!
Well said. Thanks!

You are absolutely spot on!
I think that you are a wise guy.
Bach and Glenn Gould forever.
