Castlegal 4 Palisaded Enclosure

We are currently excavating a palisaded enclosure measuring about 21m in diameter in Co. Sligo. The enclosure is of prehistoric date and is one of 15 archaeological sites discovered along the route of the N16 Lugatober (Drumkilsellagh to Lugnagall) Road Project. Information on all 15 sites will follow in the New Year.
