Hi, Do you have a video of the install of the bulkhead fittings? Thanks

hello very nice job and im curious about the way it will filter . where is the pump if i may add , and how did you connect it to the wetland filter? thanks :d. Im planning to do one of these next spring. i will keep you up to date if you would like that.
04:10 there’s a hole in the wood for the pump to go through
No bottom drain?

Hello, Can I ask what stones you used please?? I am aware that some can change the ph in the water. I didn't quite catch...was it the filter you put in the wetland bit?? If so, how would you access it to clean it??

Hi Pauline, this video link might explain a bit more.
They are providing a HUGE amount of surface area with the aqua blocks and gravel/stones for beneficial bacteria to grow and consume the waste. It really wouldn't require a lot of maintenance at all.
I don't know the exact specs of what these guys did but I would assume every year they would come out to the customer and flush out the pipes to rid any build up.
This method of filtration utilizes natural processes to keep the pond clean and healthy for the fish.
The type of rock looks to be some sort of inert river rock and gravel might possibly be like a pea gravel from DIY shops.
There are different methods to test aquatic safe rocks, the most common and easy to do is the vinegar test. Search youtube for more info
👍🏻
We used granite as this will not change the water chemistry. It is cleaned via the vault. This is done once a year during our clean out.
Hi. Could you please tell me what you used for the top layer/coping? Thanks
They are larger pieces of timber.
How much did this cost as I want to build a raised pond
Hello How did you fit return pipes did you put holes in wood for return pipes and how did you fit them ?
Great questions, we cut a hole through the timber and then used a bulkhead to attached our fittings to the liner creating a water tight seal.
@@DUWaterscapes did you use expanding foam to seal it to the holes you made ? I am looking at using 1.5 inch pipe with kockney koi fittings with hose tails.
The waterfall spillway is the return from the pump through the constructed wetland.
Surely the fish cannot be put into water that has no mature filter. How did you get round this? Lovely re-design.
I would have thought we would have introduced water from their original pond.
@@DUWaterscapes !!! But that is not enough - it has to be filtered and replenished, and checked, daily to ensure it breathable quality.
