Hello sir, I love how you did it. I'm new to b&w photography and I only have continuous light, i hope you have one. (after this comment I'll scroll on your channel) thank you!
That was seemingly simple yet so dramatic and beautiful! You continue to educate and inspire me with every video Jiggie. Thanks also for having the input from your makeup artist because it added another level to the presentation.
I need to get a smaller umbrella because I have a 60 inch moon light modifier (?) But I cannot wait to try this. Perhaps with this larger modifier, I could get full body shots? Im so excited now, for my day off!! Your teaching style is perfect for me!!! Thank you so much for sharing yoir knowledge
just discovered this video - one of the best instructions I ever came across - simple setup and explanation - wonderful communication with your model - and amazing results! looking forward to more like this on your channel. greetings from Austria
Hi ,Jiggie I'm very enjoy your tutorials, but can you ,please ,take your vlog (video) cam a little left and turn it right on the subject ? It will be help us to understand the perspective much better Thank you
Sir Jiggie question po, will you be able to achieve this with an octa or parabolic softbox with the same size as mentioned? if so, saan and paano po ilalagay ung black foam board? can you also do these for plus size person such as myself? how po? thank you!
I'm going to use your method for high key at a party in a few days. I need to try this as well when I get the chance. I don't suppose you'd let me borrow your wife...?!
That was simply AMAZING! Excellent demo of the setup and model cueing. Image captures speak volumes on how effective the technique is. Keep up the good work and definitely looking forward to future vids. ❤️
It’s always a thrill seeing you shoot your muse! Enjoyed being part of this even if it was remotely. Looking forward to the day we can actually shoot in person together! Thank you!☺️
Simply WOW... Watched 2 videos of yours and subscribed already.. Amazing content, amazing and simple techniques but Outstanding Results Also, Loved your shoes haha 🙌🏻
You have the greatest photography name in the world....Jiggie. You could also have been a professional dancer 😂I'm learning so much from you, thanks for the great content.
excellent video Jiggie. quick question, How can I achieve the same result with Godox octabox where I dont have anything in the centre to hook black foamboard? Thank you in advance
hi short question. i just bought an reflective umbrella with diffuser brand falcon eyes. the call it the 118 cm. seems now that the diameters is 90cm and the curve that it makes....118cm. a little bit misleading. not what i had in mind. sow i was wondering. the phottix 120 cm has it 120 cm diameters in reality ? thanks a lot. thanks for the super tutorials. greetz from belgium
I see you use very small pocket flashes for indoor, is that cus the flashes like AD200 are too powerful for indoor use? I hv been trying to balance the ambient light 1st then add flash but AD200 completely wash off the pic even at the lowest power. Should i use a pocket flash which is less power?
Fantastic demo, very creative approach with amazing results. Thanks so much for sharing with us! Congrats on having created the best portrait stream on UA-cam.
Jiggie - this is outstanding. I have a question that may have ben answered in the comments already so my apologies is that's the case. Was there any other ambient light in the room? I'm not sure if you were shooting in the dark or if you just exposed so the pic would be dark. If you had a light on, I think you would be picking up "extra" light with the settings you mentioned. I want to try this at home but want to give myself a fighting chance. Thanks! Just beautiful
tried this with "self-portraits" because MY muse is at work... they didnt turn out ANYWHERE close to what you have. and not just because your bride is so much prettier than my mug is! used too big a sheet of foam core i think . 32x40 vs 20x30 but thought id like a bit more background. im using a fully lit 60" shoot through umbrella... i TOO was directed here by Mike Zelbel....
i went with a smaller foam core but its really not wide enough for anyone wider than "super model" sized... i thought for SURE a 60" umbrella would be wide enough...
Incredible!! So simplistic with equipment most us have at home. Loved the results! And what better model to have than that of your beautiful wife! Cheers Richie
Thank you sir! This is simply amazing. Previously I tried different techniques with trial and errors. Today, I tried your technique by using two softboxes put it behind the standing black board since I don't have a large softbox like yours. I posted on my instagram account at myokyawhtun and you may find it there. I truly appreciate you posting this kind of tutorial which help the people like us.
Hi Jiggie. Can I ask, how far away was the camera from the subject and was this specifically done? Also, would black card be the same as using foam board for this shoot? Thanks!
Good lord, this is magical! Respect! ✊
🙏
thank you for sharing sir

Thank you for another great vídeo! Could you achieve this result but for a full body or 3/4 with only one Speedlight! Thank you so much in advance
That's a great way to do it!🤙🏾
Is there any way to apply it to full-body photography?
Thanks for this creative BTS. In the black foam board 20x30". at what height you drill a hole from the top?

Yes when they say 120cm it’s 120cm :)
Excellent video, but I’m surprised you didn’t get any light back into the camera like how the light is facing the lens
Just proper camera and light positioning

Hi Jiggle,

As close as possible
It is very very good.

there we go, try using a smaller foam core or using a bigger modifier. Experimentation is the fun part of shooting and learning :)
i went with a smaller foam core but its really not wide enough for anyone wider than "super model" sized... i thought for SURE a 60" umbrella would be wide enough...
Such a trick! Congrats mate!
