I have the 3 inch Wooster chinex FTP as well. Is the FTP suitable for interior walls or would you only use it on exterior? I see a lot of painters saying you only really use chinex on exterior because it’s so stiff?
A big effect water based paint can have natural bristle brushes is that it softens them up. Think how your hair is softer when you come out of the shower.
Is that the monarch or moose? I ordered the pro extra thinking it was the one your holding but it was thin. I called Purdue and they didn’t really know
The thick one is called a swan and the thin one you were talking about is called a sprig. You can get the pro extra (blue brush) in both types. Pro extra is the type of brush and swan, sprig and ect….. is the type/shape of the feral and brush.
Hi handsome guys. I'm painting my home. My exterior it's redwood and I'm painting an acrylic "Circuit Board Green". I'm going to use your tips and I'm heading to Home Depot to buy a quality paint brush. My cheap dollar tree started to shed it's hair. Thanks for your tips .
Purdy 3 inch pro extra flat sash sprig. Thats my go to. The pro extra blue bristle is awesome. Its a blend of chinex and i think nylon. I feel like they hold there shape and just last the longest
I like Corona, and I prefer wooster over purdy but that's my opinion. I'm in love with wooster chinex ftp
Corona makes great brushes too!

I also apply clear coat to my brush covers to make them last.

Pro extra does come with a fat boy angled. I have it.
I knew it would be Purdy! Try Arroworthy Rembrandt. I threw my pro extras away
I’ll check it out
At least let the guy with the hat on have a say without butting in.
you're right about the flat brush for walls.
Thanks
Dunn Edwards titanium pro brushes are much superior for cutting in edges and painting trim by far and not as expensive as purdy .
