Yes they do occasionally bite each other. Unlike the other person in these comments I actually had a tank of them. You need to buy them in a group because you can’t introduce any new ones after the fact, the group will kill the new one. You also need to keep a separate tank for the feeder fish, I mainly gave them goldfish. If you throw to many goldfish into the piranha tank at once they’ll eat until they’re full and then kill the extra goldfish but won’t eat them. They bite the goldfish directly in their abdomen to rupture their swim bladder. A little air bubble comes out of the goldfish and they sink to the bottom. They definitely prefer feeding on life fish over dead fish that are sitting on the bottom.
I fished Venezuelan Rivers all my life until I migrated and everyone avoids manipulating them with hands, no matter how experienced of an angler you are. My dad got his thumb almost cut off once haha. Don't drink and fish haha. He got cocky and it bit him so clean the a part of the finger was hanging from the hand, but it stuck back without stitches. They're also very tasty haha
I was surprised to see them being cautious. Seems like they could easily overtake any creature they wanted. I've touched a dead one's teeth, and they're as sharp as they look.
I had a piranha like this not to long ago. It had all its teeth and I got it as a baby. When I moved I had no room for its tank , so I had to keep it at my mom's house. She got really attached to it and ended up putting some decorations in its tank. When she would cleans its tank she would put her whole arm in the tank to clean the inside of the tank and it would scare the fish so bad that he would tun white! One day she was having a new. couch put in the front room of her house and the guys that were delivering the couch scared the piranha and he jumped. He accidentally skewered himself on one of the decorations in the tank and died. My mom cried for a month over that fish..
Kudos to the fellow for putting the piranha back in the water and letting him live to kill another day. I'm amazed that he let his hand get so close to the water, though.
I had a single piranha and fed it goldfish. I found it interesting how timid they were. You couldn’t have a lot of “things” in the aquarium because it would hide out of sight. Of course I had one rock and a skeleton /treasure chest connected to the aerator which would open and close the chest lid. Awesome fish to watch.
I used to keep Piranhas too. Had two schools of them which was eventually one VERY large Red Belly Piranha in the end. I had him for about 10 years. Very cool pets to have if you take proper care of them and a lot smarter than I expected.

Wow
Wow
I’m a simple human. I see a fun looking fish and a Swiss Army knife in the thumbnail, I click
Thank God you didn't assume your own gender!
Old joke is old
"Hope his memory is not so good" Funny but true 😂😂
And that’s how you eat meat. Clean to the bone - every parent’s pride.
My boy lol
Nobody:
Piranhas: drops sickest beats
I admire the cameramen as for being underwater risking his life and pulling out (hopefully) in a single piece! Brave man
I was expecting the knife will turn into handsaw cutter ...
The fact that they are not afraid inside of that little ass boat is impressive!
Imagine tilting the boat and falling off, i shiver just thinking about it
Fun fact about them: most piranha are actually pretty shy and if their food was alive enough to struggle then they would leave them be.
When she would cleans its tank she would put her whole arm in the tank to clean the inside of the tank
and it would scare the fish so bad that he would tun white!
One day she was having a new. couch put in the front room of her house and the guys that were delivering the couch scared the piranha
and he jumped. He accidentally skewered himself on one of the decorations in the tank and died.
My mom cried for a month over that fish..
That duck is reminiscent of what happens to your chips when you open the bag in class
I don't know why but I laughed how he said "how would the piranha react to my duck" with emphasis on the word (🦆)😁
Nice catch 😏
The piranhas swarm like if it’s Black Friday.
I love these little fishies and wish more people could appreciate them
Kudos to the fellow for putting the piranha back in the water and letting him live to kill another day. I'm amazed that he let his hand get so close to the water, though.
1:33 that nervous face though 😂😂
UA-cam: let's recommended a fish after 6 years
I had a single piranha and fed it goldfish. I found it interesting how timid they were. You couldn’t have a lot of “things” in the aquarium because it would hide out of sight. Of course I had one rock and a skeleton /treasure chest connected to the aerator which would open and close the chest lid.
Awesome fish to watch.
What kind of piranha did you have?
Isn’t it kind of cruel to keep a single piranha when they’re pack animals and not provide them with any safe spaces in the tank
Well first of all this was 1980. It was an Orange belly and about 5 inches long.
I used to keep Piranhas too. Had two schools of them which was eventually one VERY large Red Belly Piranha in the end. I had him for about 10 years. Very cool pets to have if you take proper care of them and a lot smarter than I expected.
It’s also cruel to feed it innocent goldfish.
he probably thinking, who you calling a killer get that knife out my mouth
