Bullfrog Dad Protects His Tadpoles
Вставка

- The African bullfrog (Pyxicephalus adspersus) is the biggest frog in Africa and very aggressive. But in spite of that, it's a devoted father. Bullfrogs spawn in little pools around the margins of larger ponds and after mating is over one male stays to keep watch over the newly hatched tadpoles. If the pool begins to dry up the dutiful dad digs a channel to a new water source.

Bullfrogs are are not aggressive towards people usually. Ive held my fair share. I specialize in toads as pets but I've played with all sorts of frogs. Pac man and budgets frogs are said to be most aggressive but I've never been bit.
Never question a father's love..
I’ve watched this multiple times & it’s still always amazes me how a frog can be such an amazing parent yet humans fail at this on a very basic level.
if only raising human children was as basic as digging a tiny stream
That’s true we fail at the basic level of digging mud canals for our aquatic infants with gills to swim through, it’s so easy how do we do it wrong?
@@Icetea-2000 Meanwhile humans make way better canals anyway...
All it dig was move a small pile of mud for 30 seconds..not that great
Raising a human child over 18 years is about 700 trillion times harder than spending a few hours digging a tiny canal bud
I love how he is just constantly stepping on his kids
Got like a thousand, as long as most of them survive its fine
bunch of them surely didn't flow down with the water and died once the inital small pond dried, and a bunch more didn't make it back into the water after being scooped out or buried when the frog was digging the canal.

This is presented by the now 96 year old BBC presenter, Sir David Attenborough, an icon and living legend here in the UK. We love him dearly, such a humble unassuming clever man. He is now presenting his last series, 'Wild Isles' on the BBC and in future you will not see him on location. After travelling the world since the 1950s ( his first programme was 'Zoo Quest') it is so appropriate he finishes highlighting what nature we have left after being so depleted by our greed.
Have the confidence to speak for yourself, I personally can't stand his way of talking.

Made me feel pretty good too! The Tao manifesting.
@@Thomas-ui2bd Tao is an ancient Chinese philosophy that seeks the natural (and easiest) way to ''go with the flow''. Somehow, that bullfrog knew the way to save his offspring using only what was naturally provided. He was inspired, and without being told how, or making time consuming mistakes, he relied on his best instincts and saved the day. This desire to act in accordance with the principles of nature and learn from nature applies to humans as well. When people harm the Earth with pollution and indifference to nature and to each other, they act against the principles of Tao, and that always comes out very poorly. Many ancient Chinese wise men, studied nature and wrote down their observations, which have been studied and preserved for thousands in the East and hundreds of years in the West. After The Bible, The Tao Te Jing , is the most translated book in history. Best Wishes in finding your own path!
@@Thomas-ui2bd I'm sure you will be pleased. Of course, this is ''wisdom literature'' - not the kind of material you only read once! You grow old with it, pulling it off the shelf every couple of years. My favorites are the writings of Chuang-Tzu. It also helps to read some of the commentaries that explain what some of the expressions mean. Allan Watts, ''Tao, The Watercourse Way'' is a fine introduction, inexpensive on Amazon, and stocked at most libraries Confucianism and Taoism together, informed the oldest culture in Human history- there is certainly much of great value in those pages. Also UA-cam has scores of videos on Taoism, but they can't really do justice to the books, but might be a place to begin. Best Wishes on ''the path'' (one of the meanings of tao). It has held my interest for almost 50 years, although It has always been a regret that I can only read English translations.

I thought about it for a sec and just realised what a wonderful testament to the genuine and magic-of-nature approach that Ghibli have towards their films.
