My theory is that Oak also saw a Ho-Oh at the beginning of his journey, which granted him a wish of immortality so that he could always research Pokémon. But all that really did was allow him to be as smooth brained as he wanted around Pokémon all the time. Oak is definitely one of the professors of all time.🗿

Oak is like, the world renowned Pokémon Professor. All the others we see tend to be specific subjects. Although, yes, understand there may be something wrong. But he's alive and well, so clearly not too bad. I think.

The part where Alakazam removed Professor Oak's clothes is the least harmful thing that happened to the poor professor, other than Espeon sparing him.
*Fun Fact:* The illusionist who is responsible for the ban of Kadabra/Alakazam actually apologized and decided to unban the Pokemon.
Alakazam did the least physical harm to Prof. Oak, but humiliated him the most by far.
Espeon hurt him the most. Being rejected by a Pokémon that cute would be devastating.
He also doesn’t get attacked by Luxray or Gliscor, and Skarmory causes him clothing damage
At least Raichu didn't hurt him intentionally.

Edit: It turns out that a 3-second reaction time is not even physically possible for humans. So either A.) Oak is denser than a brick and genuinely didn't know he was in danger. OR, B.) Oak isn't human.
Edit 2: If I did the numbers right, at 0:29 Oak still has a ~0.583 second reaction time, still greater than the human limit. (The human limit is roughly 300 milliseconds, but I may need to research this more. If one were to drink so much to obtain this limit, they'd likely die of alcohol poisoning.) Therefore, Oak is not human.
Edit 3: At 0:58 he doesn't react again. He's willingly putting himself through this.
Two of these were absolutely he didn't realize he was in danger. The tyranitar proved that his fight or flight reaction likes to choose freeze, the secret third option where you do neither.

Professor Oak may be the most powerful character in Pokemon.
From what we've seen, Oak has notably survived:

- Being knocked through ceilings and walls
- Flamethrowers from a myriad of Pokemon, including Magcargo, Entei, and Moltres
- Thunderbolt from Zapdos
- Being flash frozen by Articuno
- Being carried by the head by Yanma
- Having blood sucked by Crobat
- Having his back slammed by Kingler
- Being crushed by Snorlax
- Malamar's mind control
- Having his hand bitten off by Tyrunt and Noivern
- Being engulfed by Muk
- Stepping on a Ninetales tail
- Being eaten by Ekans
- Being stampeded by Tauros and Exeggutor
- Blastoise's Hydro Pump to the face
- When crushed by Regigigas, instead of being flattened, the ground broke beneath him, with Oak unharmed.
- HAVING HIS SOUL PULLED OUT AND TAKEN TO PURGATORY BY DUSKNOIR

Notable observations:
- Despite surviving being engulfed by Muk and being gassed by Weezing, being injected with poison always seems to incapacitate him. Oak may not actually breathe.
- Oak does not have allergies.
- Oak can be put to sleep with Parasect's Spore and Venomoth's Sleep Powder
- Oak can be contained by Barrier, etc
- Oak is sensitive to heat given off by Magmar
- Oak can feel pain
- Oak's hair is immune to fire, but can be cut.

Raichu flexing is something I did NOT expect in this video. Neither is Alakazam stripping Oak down to his briefs.

One thing I can't help but notice is that several of these injuries could have been avoided had Oak just bothered to pay attention to the Pokemon. For example, Bayleef was clearly uncomfortable with him rubbing the leaf on it's head.

Lessons I've learned from these two videos.
1: stay away from fire types.
2: DO NOT TOUCH THE SUPER POWERED ANIMALS!
Most of them, they accept very little petting and it's his own fault for taking his eyes off them. Others, he just gets blindsided.
And some are more patient than others.
