Most of the food pantries in my town are drive-thru so you don't have a choice of what you get. I go to the two food pantries in town where you can pick what you want and I do push a cart it's easier at my age

Interesting to see how different pantries are run. This one seems quite... dignified might be the word I am looking for. I am glad to see places like this exist, even if it is sad that they are needed.

Most cities you could call United Way 211 and ask for help. They have many resources.

Many of the people you see with carts most likely aren’t blessed with having a vehicle.....not easy to walk any distance with several bags, not to mention the elderly and/or those with mobility issues
I have met many neighbors at my local pantry. Most are women and elderly looking for assistance. We look forward to catching up while standing in line. Thank you for the comment.

thanks for the question. It's a community pantry. I meet many neighbors there as well. Its a grab and go so we get to pick and chose what we need, and often times we share with other neighbors. I live in a very engaging neighborhood. We all know and look out for one another.
