What very great idea. I am from germany, and I searched so so long for an pattern like this it is without a bias tape...Thank you so much for this wonderful Video 😀
Hi Brith. Her is another pot holder tutorial of mine showing 3 different methods to make a pot holder: ua-cam.com/video/6dTUIBLqxhQ/v-deo.html Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Now this is the technique I should have used last week when I was messing up the 2 pot holders I made with store bought binding. I will use this next time. Thanks again for your wisdom.
Omg, you are my hero! Been trying to make a potholder with binding. Other videos I've watched were... not helpful. You made this look easy and it's renewed my confidence in my sewing. Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Your instructions are so very clear and helpful and your video angles are perfectly placed where we can see each step clearly. I used this same process to make a casserole dish hot pad and didn't include the hanger and it turned out great!
I love this pot holder tutorial too! I will be making one like this tomorrow! I am getting quite a stash of coordinated potholders and table runners! Thanks for sharing such easy and quick projects!
Thanks for the great tutorial! I've made a few potholders following your other video (can't think of the name but it was quick and easy with no binding) so I've gotta try this one next since I struggle with binding!
Thank you for making and sharing this tutorial. VERY well done! I love making potholders and this one simplifies sewing them much better than the way I've been doing it for years.
I love watching your videos. You explain everything so its easy to understand. My problem is getting my materials cut accurately..So I'm curious how you are able to cut them so perfect. Is there a method to doing this. Can you give me some advise?
Hi Karen. Yes I have a tutorial on how to cut fabric accurately. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/WTMytURZ-3I/v-deo.html Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Hi Daniel. Here is a link to a video with the hanging loop in the middle of one side. ua-cam.com/video/TlndfZVY6yQ/v-deo.html Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Hi Gloria. Here is a tutorial that demonstrates how to put it in the middle: ua-cam.com/video/rgUdT2gVUEA/v-deo.html Click on the link, and then go to 06:19 minutes/seconds in the video. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
hello I am new to sewing and quilting. I have 1 question. How do you sew perfectly straight line when quilting the potholders? I am using the diagonal potholder and want it to look good, since i will be giving these away for gifts. thanks for your assistance in making potholders
Hi Nancy. When stitching on a diagonal, keep the bottom corner closes to you pointed directly at you at all times. Practice on some scrap fabric. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Hi JG216. I haven't used felt in my sewing projects very often, and I worry how it would hold up during the wash cycle. Also, you want fabrics that protect from the heart and will not melt. If you have a Joann Fabrics and Crafts store near you, sign up for their coupon app that you keep on your cell phone. Often, they have 50% off coupons, and 20% off total purchase. I have the coupon app in my cell phone, and I use it all the time. Also, some Walmart stores cell fabric, and their prices are about half the cost. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Hi Debra. I have never had that happen before. Was the thread/stitching pulling the fabric into a bunch. Send me a picture to thesewingroomchannel@gmail.com. If I can see it maybe I can help. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
@@TheSewingRoomChannel I can't send a picture I took out all the stitches. But I redid it with the regular foot came out fine then I went to trim the threads and cut into the back fabric. Not my day!
Thanks for showing how to put a hanger on the no binding pot holder. Enjoyed your video very much.

I think Nancy you could use a sewing erasable pen or chalk pencil draw the lines. It will come off
@@TheSewingRoomChannel I used painters tape and followed the edge
If I dont have cotton batting can I use 2 pieces of felt instead? I'm new at sewing and on a budget. Thanks.
Hi JG216. I haven't used felt in my sewing projects very often, and I worry how it would hold up during the wash cycle. Also, you want fabrics that protect from the heart and will not melt. @@TheSewingRoomChannel thanks. i will do that. but first i will try the felt,
Thank you.
I would just like to make a suggestion it is difficult to see detail when you were using a dark fabric with dark thread
Hi DC Watashi. Thanks for the suggestion. Merry Christmas. 😍
@@TheSewingRoomChannel Did you get a chance to look at my short video of the potholders that I made following your tutorial?
Thank you

ما نوع القماش؟
No offense but I find this method harder to do than traditional binding. I watch all of your videos. I always learn something new.
