Bed of Chaos, for no good reason, has 4 HP. If you do s rolling unarmed punch and do 3 damage, you can actually manage to 2-shot it, which is somehow harder than the 1-shot
Well, there is a reason, kinda. One witch is the main body you fight. Two more are added during the fight. And the core, aka the bed, is another entity. 4 entities, 4 HP.

@@KaroxNightshade Often, especially in older games, you tend to avoid 1hp value since it's often reserved for special states. As to why not 2 and 3? Maybe some engine difficulties for a shared healthbar when there are multiple enities or just engine itself couldn't handle max health value lower than 4
Dude, I'm in love with the video editing here. The little title card before every kill is so cool, and I imagine took WAY to long to make for how short they ended up being, but they're definitely worth how easy it makes following along the video, not mention just look professional as hell.

Well... thought out in terms of his own goal of "inflicting the maximum damage", not in terms of "winning the contest", since he went out of his way to save Anastasia, who apparently counts as a point despite the fact that she can literally only be killed by Lautrec.
Yeah One shotting the last few NPCs with only 400 health was just too redundant, I could care less about winning a contest I wasn't officially a part of lol, Especially when everyone else was leveling up to nearly 100 and I wanted to stay Level 1 as usual.
I really hope vegeta311 sees this video! Loved watching the guy and do runs like his back in the day, good memories. I remember him saying at some point that technically a lvl 3 sorcerer is a harder run than a level 1 pyromancer due to the innate stats a sorcerer gets. Might be a fun idea for another low level one shot challenge, though I assume a lot of it would be dependent on pyromancy as well. Love your content, keep it up man!

Well, duh, you can boost pyromancy to the fullest without levelling up, while sorcery is doomed, there’s nothing to artificially boost your intelligence like in later entries.
As someone who first entered the world of DS in 2020 all these challenge runs are still very new to me.... and holy sh*t bro what did I just witness!? Ive heard of people one-shotting bosses, but I've never watched someone actually do it. I didnt really believe it was possible. This is truly some of the wildest stuff I've ever seen in gaming. DS1 is truly the GOAT. And you sir are a legend.

If any credit should be given, it would be to challenger andy whom I had a convo with on discord about that strategy back in april and may. Since were on the subject, just to clarify, in his video when he kills Quelaag with my strat and said "this was stolen from someone else, just like this entire run" he was referring to me lol, and my WF 2020 Run. At first I was like "wait, this is practically impossible, manus exists. I did this back then and the only way to oneshot manus is to sacrifice children to him". Then I saw you allowed everything and I understood why and how you did it. Incredibly impressive, though. The video editing also is top notch, plus the infographics shown make it very easy to follow for those who don't know the game like the back of their hands.
@@DireRainXYeah it's the "remastered" edition but at 30fps and with mostly non-remastered graphics. It's my favorite version personally, the 30fps isn't a problem in such a slow game and I prefer the art assets from the original 360/PS3 versions
Honestly, i don't know where to start to comment this. I played through DS1 a few times many years ago (got to NG+++ or so and got Platinum). Since then i played through DS2/3 a few times and watched A LOT of challenge runs, especially on DS1. While there are many that are really impressive i have to say i have never seen something like this. The least thing to mention is the editing, and while this might sound bad, it's still WAY ahead. Perfect cuts and always showing the weapon and enemy stats etc is already top tier. The run itself...while i don't have that much practical experience, i have a lot of knowledge of what can be done. And this...i don't want to know how much effort went into this. It's absolutely insane imho. I will save this video and surely watch it every now and then, because i think it's nearly perfect in terms of how much you can "break" DS1. Hats off to you, Sir!

This setup doesn’t need levelling that’s the thing, level 1 or 700, the damage is the same, the only thing that scales is the pyromancy flame, and it scales through upgrades, not levels.

I haven't started watching this yet, but I can't wait to see someone stay at (any)starting level the whole game and not upgrade(level up) there weapons! Personally, I think the fire surge method on four kings should not be questioned. It's an elegant use of game mechanics and is still technically one button press. Congrats on a fantastic gaming achievement.

Yeah everyone thought that kill was impossible for 10 years in the Vageta311 One Shot challenge, It took me years of random attempts hear and there with chaos storm. Then During my Challenge run at Level 1 in 2020 I literally sat down, did the math with chaos storm and fire tempest, because I realized I was getting around 2k damage with fire tempest per pillar sometimes, and 2.8k other times. After doing the math I knew it would be possible so I did a 30+ hour stream before finally hitting it. Probably the peak moment of my video game career. Yeah I have seen a few of those videos recreating the kill the past few months, same with the quelaag strategy. Even just recreating it was probably a pain and took forever, so I am sure they we're excited when they finally got the kill, but I am telling you it will never come close to that feeling of doing it the first time after everyone tells you for years it was impossible. Correct me if I'm wrong but Chaos Firestorm is the overall strongest pyromancy in the game, pretty sure fire tempest pillars do more damage but add in the lava ticks and CFS comes out on top.
I came across ur channel on ur elden ring videos and have to say that ur without a doubt the best channel showing one shot guides along with a bunch of other stuff but props to u my guy keep it coming
This guy has that red electric box, and darn it, he's going to use it! Since the run was inspired by Backlogs, which is full glitchless, I'm not too keen on the weapon swaps kills, but it's just showing one shots, and with fewer levels than the challenge allows so whatever. Neat job. Hopefully someday someone will map out Fire Tempest's pillars locations, somewhere that X boss will always get hit by 3 of them.

It is not because pyromancy scales in DS2. Pyromancy was kinda broken in DS1, and that made it so great and different from other RPG .

Personally, I think the fire surge method on four kings should not be questioned. It's an elegant use of game mechanics and is still technically one button press.

Yeah everyone thought that kill was impossible for 10 years in the Vageta311 One Shot challenge, It took me years of random attempts hear and there with chaos storm. Then During my Challenge run at Level 1 in 2020 I literally sat down, did the math with chaos storm and fire tempest, because I realized I was getting around 2k damage with fire tempest per pillar sometimes, and 2.8k other times. After doing the math I knew it would be possible so I did a 30+ hour stream before finally hitting it. Probably the peak moment of my video game career. Yeah I have seen a few of those videos recreating the kill the past few months, same with the quelaag strategy. Even just recreating it was probably a pain and took forever, so I am sure they we're excited when they finally got the kill, but I am telling you it will never come close to that feeling of doing it the first time after everyone tells you for years it was impossible.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Chaos Firestorm is the overall strongest pyromancy in the game, pretty sure fire tempest pillars do more damage but add in the lava ticks and CFS comes out on top.

Since the run was inspired by Backlogs, which is full glitchless, I'm not too keen on the weapon swaps kills, but it's just showing one shots, and with fewer levels than the challenge allows so whatever. Neat job. Hopefully someday someone will map out Fire Tempest's pillars locations, somewhere that X boss will always get hit by 3 of them.

Everything about this video is so high level. The editing. Your audio quality. The title cards for the bosses and descriptions. So much work went into this. But I think the most impressive thing of all is that you sat there and handed in 160 dragon scales one at a time (assuming you’re not playing the remastered version where you can give multiple items at once).
