Whoa! Tilemaps directly in the editor is AMAZING! And I can EASILY animate my tiles using the the tile ID actions and a timer. That's a blast. GDevelop is improving nonstop!
This is absolutely perfect! I was having some trouble figuring out how to design my levels, but this new tilemap feature is perfect, especially when I’m on the go! Now I can hand draw my own tilemaps!

Okay, but I tried to use the Outline effect on my tilemap but none of the tiles were outlined. I'd like it to outline the entire mass of tiles instead of each individual tile, so that I could outline my tiles without having to make seperate tiles for different tile directions because it's pretty tedious. It most likely isnt supported with the tilemap object yet, but I'd love to see it interact with the tilemap like this when support for the outline effect is added!

After around 2 and a half years of game development with gdevelop, I am switching to the framework called "love2d", it uses lua, and so far, I have completed 1 tutorial, and am making a clicker game, I have the clicking system done, and now I am working on upgrades

You can change the tiles with events and timers, but this tilemap object doesn't currently support animations. You can still use Tiled or LDtk if you're looking for more advanced features. 👍 -Wesley
How is there comments from 16 hours ago this is just published? Also we should be able to paste code to the event sheet so we can copy codes from the internet or can ask to some ai like chatgpt for it. They give you the code that u needed but u cant paste it to the event sheet
When do you gonna make better lighting effects on gdevelop? this pandako guy make it but is kinda crap and dont work all the time, his mods are so complicate and clunky is a nighmare! I want to simply drag and drop a light than can cast shadows and thats it, just like whan you drop a 3d object.

Autotiling isn't currently a feature of this tilemap object, you'd need to try out Tiled or LDtk in order to use autotiling.

On the desktop, you can paste events from another project. But ChatGPT has never managed to generate a valid format for the application.
