Can’t say enough about the appreciation I have for the simplicity of your tutorial and adding the tabs in the upper right of the screen. Thank you so much. I have a request for an easy one. How about Richard Ashcroft ‘they don’t own me’
Hey Hot80s (love the user name) your comment is very much appreciated! Richard Ashcroft is fantastic. Loved him with The Verve. I’m not familiar with “they don’t own me” but I’ll have a listen. So many great songs to cover, so little time! Hope you subscribe to my channel and I look forward to hearing from you in the future!
Thanks @kellyskloset350, if you like this 80’s classic, you might want to check out my other retro tutorials! Hope you subscribe and check them out as well!
Hi Troy, watching a film called table 19. The wedding band were playing this song in the background. I love this song. It sent me back to the 80’s. I’m a competent guitar player and watched your lesson to see if I could find something to enhance my version. Great lesson great presentation and a lot of people will enjoy learning from this, except of course mr dickwad but who cares about him right ? Well done. Keep up the great work.
Hey Thanks for your positive comments Mr. North! I’ve loved this song since I was a teenager. I absolutely needed to do a tutorial on it. I’m glad you approve! More to come soon my friend!
I like your approach Troy...you learned me a great song and I enjoyed seeing you put it together at the end. Even the singing during your explanation is very helpfull to me so I don’t have to put singing and guitar together myself after mastering the chords. More of these 80’s forgotten pearls plz! Cheers
Abe Pex Thank you for this comment Abe. When I started my page, I asked myself how I would want to learn a song. I wanted to be shown the cords and the progression. I wanted to see the transitions from the versus to the choruses and how the whole puzzle of the song all comes together. I create my tutorials exactly how I would want to learn a song. I’m sincerely appreciative of hearing others like to learn the same way. More 80’s song to come my friend. Thank you again.

Amir Murray Hey Mr. Murray, thanks for your comments. I’m always trying simplify song to make them easier to play for beginners. There is a lot going on in that prechorus but I believe I was able to find a simple solution. Thanks for watching and your comments are always appreciate. keep them coming!
I know you’re going for “Easy”, but the real song is already pretty “Easy” Verses are really just long chords Fadd9 - Cadd13 - G Take. Baby. Hand. etc. (Fadd9 is just a regular F with your pinky on the high G note - string1 fret 3. Cadd13 is a fancy name for a regular C chord while your pinky again stays on the high G note string 1 fret 3). Pre-chorus is more like. F - C/E - Cm - G F - Em - Am G/B- C When I. You. Everyone. Knew. Believe Do. Share What True
ivan rupee Hi Mr. Rupee, thank you for commenting. My tutorials and covers are focused on the beginner guitar player. I try to keep it simplified as much as I can and normally focus on the rhythm section rather that the more intricate lead guitar work. I’m sorry my video didn’t have exactly what you were looking for but I hope it helps get you in the right direction. Thanks again and I hope you comment on the future.

Troy Hawes thanks for teach beginners. Great song!!
Respectfully, you gotta go to that E chord in what you’re calling the pre chorus F C A G F then to the E followed by F G
