Say hello to another SC Evo: Complete cast featuring yet another former pro SC2 player!
To find this mod: launch StarCraft 2, create a custom melee match, select 'Create with Mod' at the bottom and type SC: Evo Complete Crossover Edition
We've got two shorter games today with some cheesy plays; something we haven't seen on this channel in awhile! Game number one is an SC1 Protoss (radish) vs an SC2 Terran (apocalypsis). Game number 2 is an SC1 Terran (Terrarn) vs SC1 Protoss (You). Both of these matchups provide some great variety and give us more of a taste of what this meta might look like moving forward!
This match is made possible by the SC: Evo Complete Crossover Edition mod which brings the StarCraft Brood War versions of Protoss, Zerg and Terran into StarCraft 2! Stick around and watch the Terran of the past face off with the Terran of the future! This truly brings balance to a whole new level.
If you're new to this channel, I cast a wide range of StarCraft 2 content including casual games and modded games including viewer submitted content! If more casual and modded StarCraft are something you guys are interested in, please consider subscribing!
Since the majority of casts are of pro level games, I think it would be really interesting focus on StarCraft 2 ladder games from the more general population of StarCraft 2 players. Of course I will occasional host a pro-level match once in awhile, but for now I'm focused on casting StarCraft 2 from players in the community!

I wish we could see more of these SC Evo matches that involves SC1 vs SC2, it seems much more interesting than just SC2

FYI, siege tanks in siege do indeed do increased damage, hence the slower rate of fire.
In SC2, tank mode does 15+10(vs armored). Siege mode does 40+30(vs armored)
SC1, (Large/Medium/Small) tank mode does 30/22.5/15, Siege mode does 70/52.5/35.

For game 1, the protoss player has watched too many SC1 PvT pro games. Versus the SC2 terran, he should have built a LOT of reavers and/or the storms, to crush that bio completely and utterly. One reaver won't cut it.
Dragoons don't trade well since SC2 terran doesn't abuse mech, they abuse bio instead. These players are so inflexible and don't know the race.
These kinds of mods just highlight how the SC2 devs never understood game balance. In BW, each race was defined by their weaknesses, and that's part of why the game is so balanced even today.
For example, in BW PvT, protoss is extremely mobile yet resilient, so bio stands no chance versus gateway units even from the very start. So they have to rely on the highly immobile crawl of tank lines and guerrilla tactics of vultures to stand a chance. And even if Protoss is way more mobile than Terran, the presence of Spider Mines scattered across the map highly limits their ability to just freely march around anywhere without thinking twice. There's a tactical dance that both races have to do based on each's strengths/weaknesses.
In SC2, the roles are basically reversed (highly mobile Terran vs splash-reliant Protoss) except marine/marauder/medivac is basically zealot/dragoon/recall on steroids. Meanwhile, to offset what would otherwise be a one-sided matchup, they put a band-aid on the balance through Protoss getting dedicated splash damage in the form of fragile support units, making every match a snowball-prone coinflip decided in 5 seconds. Imagine BW TvZ, except imagine if lings, hydras, lurkers, and ultras were mega-nerfed, and defilers/queens were mega-buffed, that's SC2 TvP in a nutshell.
Also, in BW, air units were purposely designed to be extremely weak, stupidly expensive, or just made obsolete after early/mid game, because terrain/cliff mobility is OP (also, anti-air attacks in BW are way stronger than air-to-ground attacks). The design of units in SC2 like Banshees, Liberators, and Oracles are honestly just baffling. There's a reason why Scouts were permanently over-nerfed to the ground in BW a long long time ago.

It does! All the SC1 units with some minor tweaks! There’s no ladder but the mod is called SC Evo: Complete. You can make custom melee games by selecting “create with mod”
I’ve also seen pretty frequent existing lobbies where people are hosting games with this mod
@@ElleixGaming awesome I will Def check this out. I always wondered how fun it would be to use all the sc1 units and all sc2 units in an online match, now i don't have to wonder anymore!! Another cool thing would be to allow the commander characters into online multiplayer like Kerrigan, zeratul etc bc there units and play style are each different.. is there anyway to mod this into the game?

The protoss played like crap, tbh. You can't just get 1 reaver vs a terran who's getting infantry.
And scouts vs land? xDDDD, at least let the stim wear off, and harass!
