to be fair with BW protoss there isn't THAT much to figure out really because unlike SC2 protoss BW protoss lack in options from the robotics facility you very quickly will repeatedly see dragoon+templar/archons+reavers ... additional zealots if zerg goes for zerglings and against terran tanks the more interesting unit on the protoss is the arbiter and the dark archon
it but god this really shows how vastly different SC1 and SCII are the amount of ling runbys JD couldve done in this matchup is above and beyond I love how both players are scrambling so hard to figure out how to play xD
... why build corsairs against broodlords? why not scouts? wouldn't their AA be good enough? along with having "some" AG capability? or did the modders include the high cost of BW scouts into this?

@@petercriscuola people really like to forget that EVERY game at one point was unoptimised (heck many AAA titles still are after years!) ... you are criticizing a fresh game made by an indydev, that's not even released yet, with rather unknown budget ... compared to a game made by a major large publisher that over the course of the decade went through 3 iterations its 1st one funded with a budget that rivals summerblockbuster movies ... i get it .. people have their expectations ... but for gods sake try to be somewhat realistic in your critique without being immediately dismissive of everything that is about to come out ..

Despite its original purpose, it dies extremely fast and still requires a shuttle (WP) to keep it alive. You know who asked to have the protoss army be nerfed in every way as a trade for proxy ability? Literally no one ever.
For the video comentators, if you're using broodwar then use legacy of the void...if you're going to use sc2, then use sc1 in your talks. Do better next time! Regarding armies, is good to see they sc1 is balanced to sc2. Even if the reaver does huge splash damage, it's the same with banelings. And the match was fairly balanced, the early protoss aggression leveraged the even more opressing zerg presence in late game without that protoss control of the match early. Protoss won because zerg threw away his army in that counter, didn't do a good base trade.
I love how fresh this feels in regards to unit comps not really being figured out, or anything really. Fun match.

JD held on for so long because drone kills mean very little with queen injection. Losing hatch and tech structures were way worse for sc2 zerg

Banelings are only good against workers. It has some value to kill workers, but it's a high price so it can definitely backfire.

Broodlords tend to clump.
Not to mention that Corsairs would have to contend with Corruptor backup. There’s no way in hell Corsairs are busting through Corruptor bulk.

I feel zealots-archons-dragoons would be much more effective than pure dragoons...
per standart zealots-dragoons-templar when depleted into archons, the problem is still SC2 ultralisks to which BW toss have no propper answer
