For context, in the first dozen or so seasons of the show, Kenny died in every episode. It eventually becomes his superpower. As far as the "camps' for the Canadian citizen's they rounded up, that is clearly a dig at the Nazi concentration camps and the American camps that housed the Japanese American's during WW2.
You look so beautiful af 🥰
Great movie. Having Tim there to take the blame is just the cherry on top! 😂
I thought 'rim job' meant car detailing lol
Saw it in theaters PPl were walking out of the theater.
Fun fact, the MPAA told the creators that if they used the word ‘Fuck’ more than 400 times, the movie would get an NC-17 rating, so they used the word exactly 399 times 🤣🤣
Actually, you're only partially right. There were 399 swear words in the movie. Of those 399, there were only 146 uses of the word "fuck".
It's also funny that the MPAA is also full of crap. Since the South Park movie's release, there have been many movies with over 400 to 500 f-bombs said and those were still R rated (not given an NC-17). MPAA is pretty much useless since they are not consistent at all and no clear guidelines. MPAA pretty much favor movies with studios that have ties to them but give zero f's about independent films and usually rate them more harshly.
Lmao that definitely sounds like Matt and Trey 😂
Having George Clooney as the doctor was just great.
He also played Stan's gay dog
Clooney also commissioned the original "Spirit of Christmas" short in the early 90s as a Christmas card. He literally bankrolled the origin of South Park.
Eric Idle voicing the V chip-installing doctor was fun too.
Didn't they mock him later on?
The way Clariss went back and forth between hysterical laughter and horror was feckin' priceless. 😂😂
"Blame Canada" was actually nominated for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards, and it was performed at the show live by Robin Williams. Trey Parker and Matt Stone attended the awards show high on LSD and dressed in women's gowns inspired by gowns previously worn by Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez.
Lol they were high because they were scared of the reception they'd get in the dresses.
@@IAmHavok I would be even more scared on acid for sure
"Kenny's dead!" "He's not going to die for real."
Wow, you weren't kidding about not having grown up with South Park.
Well when you're canadian
Matt and Trey have always been asked “wow, what did X celebrity do to deserve that gag?” and the consistent response has seemed to be “we thought it was funny”.
Precisely! It's all fair game.
Except for Barbra Streisand. She is hated more than any of the celebrities that Trey and Matt have mocked throughout the whole show.
Lol that's legit always just been who they are, they are the epitome of "for the lols" 😂
I never thought I'd live to see South Park evolve so far that a new viewer would be shocked at Kenny dying.
That just makes me feel really old.
Considering how rarely he dies nowadays OG fans would be shocked too
@@riccardomallardo7779 but not from something this old
Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact they gave the "Disney Princess 'I want'" song to Satan?!
SO subversive and brilliant. Top marks to Matt and Trey.
"Sheet! F-ing sheet! I F-ing hate guard dogs!"
The Mole is the best one-off character in South Park. One never forgets the sound of a dying giraffe 🦒
"Vheres your god now"
Did you bring the butfor?
What's a butfor?
For pooping, Silly.
The concern about Kenny being dead is priceless
I looked it up. As of Aug 2023 Kenny has died 126 times. So yeah this was really funny.
@@YukoValisIncluding Panderverse Kenny? Especially how she died in the promo?
Love that you both reacted to South Park "Bigger, Longer and Uncut". Trey Parker and Matt Stone could own Broadway if they concentrated on strictly musicals. Stephen Sondheim told them that "Team America: World Police" was the best movie of the year and also heaped endless praise on "Bigger Longer and Uncut" calling it the best musical made in decades. Pure geniuses.
"Book of Mormon" also got a ton of awards.
South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are not from Canada, they are from Colorado
So this is how I learn Tim is Canadian, explains a lot honestly
🤠
As an American, I'd just like to say, I blame you and your country for everything that's ever gone wrong, anywhere.
Well It's Aboot Time!
I'd argue that this is probably the best thing that Matt & Trey ever did. The satire is clever and more subtle than it may first appear, all the songs are genuine bops and the gags, while edgy and offensive (it's South Park after all), are never unnecessarily mean (unfortunately, that can't always be said of some of their later work). Oddly enough, in some places it's downright touching.
Is there someone arguing against that? They be nuts.
Back at this point in time, it was a regular joke for Kenny to die in most episodes and be back as though nothing happened for the next. Always with the "oh my god, you killed Kenny" line - sometimes said with indifference as time went on.
I remember that they eventually mostly stopped doing it at some point, but can't remember when this was. Haven't seen South Park for a very long time at this point even though I do like it.
I think it was after season 5 when they killed Kenny off for a whole season and let butters take his spot in the main 4 temporarily. When they brought Kenny back they used the death gag much less frequently. It's not like it ever truly went away. Even seasons when he never dies he's still the go to target to put in mortal peril out of the main cast.
Can't believe more people haven't reacted to this movie. Possibly the funniest move of all time and a classic. I predict there will be plethora of reactors watching this in the near future. Nice job being among the first.
For a simple-looking cartoon, there are so many layers to this movie. I remember watching this for the first time as a kid, but you obviously appreciate it more as an adult. It makes fun of everyone and everything and it’s brilliant.
There's a bunch of cameos in this that are great in hindsight. The obvious one is George Clooney as Dr. Doctor, but there's Eric Idle of Monty Python as the scientist who puts in Cartman's V-Chip, Beavis & Butthead and King of the Hill creator Mike Judge as the voice of Kenny at the end, and Metallica lead singer James Hetfield sings "You're Goin' To Hell" (many people assumed it was Trey Parker doing an impression of James)
Conan O'Brien is voiced by Mr. Data himself Brent Spiner.
I was lucky to see this in theaters. Oddly enough there were a bunch of parents with their kids there. I guess they thought "cartoon = for kids". As soon as the Terrance and Phillip song started most of them walked out all angry like. It made the movie complete for me.
Yer my mum took me and my cousins, we were like 12 at the time. Mum thought the swearing would be beeped like the show 😂
Fun fact: the MPAA said this movie had too many instances of the F word, and they wouldn't allow for more than 400, so the final film contains 399 F words.
So What's the Big F*CKIN' Deal?
@@jamesalexander5623 Barbra Streisand.
@@andre1999o Mecha-Streisand!
The fact we saw for the first time the head of Kenny at the end was a really good memory from the past. What an amazing movie.
I remember seeing a segment on the news on TV, warning parents to not take their children to watch it, and to not be deceived by the fact that it's an animated movie.
Lol the fact that my mom took my twin sister and me to the drive-in when this came out and was laughing as much as we were was such a good time 😂😂😂
The original title they wanted was "SOUTH PARK: ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE", but the studio didn't want to release a movie with the word "HELL" in the title.
And the "UNCLE F***ER" song was originally "MOTHER F***ER" but the MPAA said no way without an instant NC-17.
I saw this movie when I was in college. We didn't know it was a musical! 🤣 It's also crazy to think that this movie came out during the 3rd season of the TV series. And the series has been going for 26 years now!
Team America is a masterpiece by itself but this is the perfect south park movie and ranks as high as the best south park episodes.
The reaction to Kenny's death is kinda funny to watch as someone who watched SP a lot "back in the day".
The creators of South Park received criticism when their show debuted that it was only cursing and fart jokes. So as a bit of a response to the criticism, the created the Terrence and Phillip show, as a TV show the kids love to watch, and have that show literally be only cursing and fart jokes.
Welcome to the world of Matt & Trey (Southpark creators). So since you haven't seen the episodes, you'd know that they've been making fun of Canada ever since they created the characters Terence & Phillip. Also (fun fact), the song "Blame Canada" was nominated for an oscar for best song (yes, for real!!), and was performed live on stage by Robin Williams at the Oscars!! Also, the voice of the Doctor who put a potato in place of Kenny's heart was George Clooney (Who also voiced Stan's gay dog Sparky in an early episode of Southpark (all he did was make barking sounds..LOL!!!). Finally, the voice of Kenny at the end of the movie was done by Mike Judge (Beavis & Butthead creator). Loved your guys reaction, especially from a Canadian (FYI - the reception Trey and Matt got for Terence & Phillip from Canadians has been mostly positive - apparently Canadians have a great sense of humor, unlike some of the celebrities that they have made fun of throughtout there career. You take care and love your channel! XOXO
Now for the comedy “Operation Canadian Bacon”! With Tim
She went in this with a Canadian knowing what was gonna happen. Gold 😂😂
One of my favorite things surrounding this movie was when Trey Parker and Matt Stone were on Conan’s show. They showed the clip of Conan jumping out the window, it was hilarious. His look after was that of laughter, shock, entertainment and disappointment.
Conan's voice in the movie was provided by Brent Spiner I believe. You might know him as Data on Star Trek The Next Generation.
My dad smacked me during the screening in the theater when this came out because I was 18 and I got him to bring my 13 year old brother.
My new favorite reaction to the South Park movie, that was hilarious Fam! There are many interviews (as well as youtube video essays) that talk about Matt and Trey's war with the MPAA while making the SP movie. I heard that every time Matt and Trey were forced to cut a scene or particularly dirty line, they'd do it, but at the same time would add more excessively graphic violence elsewhere in the movie until it ended up what is now, lmao.
Since you so enjoyed this, may I recommend Cannibal: The Musical? It was a college project by Matt & Trey, a dramatization of the life and trial of Alferd Packer, the first man convicted of cannibalism in America. Absolutely brilliant and nearly as tasteless as South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut!
10000% Agree!
Blame Canada was up for an Oscar, it was performed on stage by Robin Williams. it was he first song nominated with a swear word becoming the first song up for an Oscar to not have it's song played in it's entirety.
I love this movie and still use a bunch of references with my friends, like random dying giraffe sounds to get attention in public. Saw this before I had access to the show. "Church" of scientology went after them and quit after stalking and not finding anything, even went through their garbage. Love your reactions.
bingeing those 90's crass humour films >< why am I not surprised to see timothee pop up here :P definitely gotta blame canada for the recent choices ;)
Being so shocked that Kenny died is so funny to people who know the show >
Saw this movie opening night and the theater was packed with kids.
"Blame Canada"was Nominated for and Oscar as Best Song!
I loved the Clockwork Orange reference when Cartman was shocked for trying to swear.
i might be wrong, but i think them hearing the curse words in the Terrance and Philip film, was the first time they/ you hears those words in south park universe. dont think they were dropping F bombs on the TV show before this movie came out.
I was in the Navy when this came out, and even sailors didn't swear that much.
I own so many South Park T-shirts. back in the day, girls would start conversations with me about my shirts. good times.
Your next one should be Base-ketball. One of Trey and Matt’s finest 😂
Yes sirrr
Clariss, I think I saw you on Tim's page a while ago and then I started following your reactions! I'm a '90s kid but I still watched this show since I was (way too young). It's society!!
south park has never really been as controversial as most people imagine; Trey and Matt always say so that sure, they've had their problems with rating, tv and business in general, but rarely has there actually been "people pissed off at them"
I saw this in the theater (I was 16) and this is still the best musical experience I have ever had 😂😂🔥🔥
Originally Mary Kay Bergman (who voiced all the female characters for the first two seasons of South Park, including the boys' mothers, Wendy Testaburger, Bebe Stevens and Shelly Marsh, Stan's sister) was gonna sing Blame Canada at the Oscars. Sadly, she comitted suicide by shotting herself in the head on November 11, 1999, so Robin Williams stepped in to sing it.
22:56 The funny thing about the look of South Park is, when the series was first created - first off Trey and Matt did kind of other video in this style, that was like a one off present for someone and got bootlegged or something, but it got them the pilot for South Park. And both of those were made exactly how this looks, they hand cut everything out of construction paper and stop motion animated.
But when the series was picked up it became clear that they could not do an entire series that way, as it would be too time intensive. So they found a 3D animation program that they could use to get every conceivable angle they want, but then flatten it at each camera angle to give it the flat construction paper look, without having to stop motion animate it. What that also meant was, they could animate the series super quickly; and as the series went on their turn around became such that they could (and did/do) write and animate an episode all within the same week; and then deliver the episode within a day or less of airing. I think when the series first started there might have been a delivery delay because it had to be sent on a physical media, but ultimately it could be done as an upload. But it was the 3d animation that made that all possible, and allowed South Park to do relevant episodes; where within days of something happening in the news that topic could be incorporated into the next episode. I seem to recall there were even episodes they scrapped or delayed because something would happen in the world and Matt and Trey were like, this has to be the episode.
And of course it allowed for cool shots like with Satan; and as the series went on, it's used the 3D elements more.
My brother and I saw this movie in the theater when it came out and we laughed from beginning to end
After watching this classic movie. Me and my friend memorized the Uncle Fucker song and we were both the coolest kids in our grade 8 class and also the only kids to be sent to detention 23 times in our class
The consistent roasts of the Canadien people are something I love aboat this movie
I was definitely too young to watch this but I still vividly remember so many parts of this movie especially Robin Williams performing Blame Canada live at the Oscars
A great satire of society. Saw this on opening day and it sounded like we were in a stadium of 100,000. Laughs everywhere.
aaa good old times of comedy, pure gold.
Satan is one of the most wholesome characters on south park
"Kenny's Dead!"... yeah... that's kinda his thing.. he died in every episode til this point. He even died in the original shorts.
South Park Season 4....
Episode 9: "Do the Handicapped Go to Hell?" and Episode 10: "Probably."
They are effectively the sequel to this movie.
I watched this as a kid and this is still golden 😂
I'm Canadian myself, when I first saw this movie I was a kid about the same age as Cartman, Stan, Kenny, and Kyle.
I knew they were making fun of Canada but given it was SOUTH PARK, I thought ok there just having fun with it.
But I could definitely see other people being offended hardcore, but the thing people don't realize is South Park is a cartoon that goes after everyone equally.
So whatever you either love it or hate it, over the years I don't watch the movie as much anymore still funny tho.
See at the point that this movie came out I could see people getting offended at SouthPark. But at this point 26 Seasons into the series with multiple specials and the film it's kind of hard to see is it offended South Park because at this point it's just yeah that's just South Park
@@bemasaberwyn55 agreed, actually a few months ago I bought the South park COVID movie it's actually pretty awesome highly recommend if you haven't seen it yet, it's 2 episodes made into a 2 hour long movie.
I think that the Winona Ryder thing is related to Primus.
They have a song called Winona's Big Brown Beaver and they perform the theme tune for the show.
I don't think it's disrespect as such as just a thing they did.
My favourite trivia in this film is that to avoid a MA rating on swears a film needs less than 400, knowing this to keep it R the count is 399
My friends and I watched this for a bachelor party, we camped in his sisters backyard and watched this movie projected onto the side of her house while getting pretty drunk. Good times
Is it me or when Satan is singing that song it sounded like the song from the little mermaid
They Wrote it to sound like a Disney Song!
@jamesalexander5623 thanks for letting me know couldn't tell with the cuts
The song Blame Canada was nominated for an Oscar. Plus you have to remember this was released almost 4 years prior to the Iraq War, to give a little perspective on Saddam Hussein's character in this.
This movie is only going to get more outrageous with time. I watched this movie like every day in middle school.
When I saw this movie in the theater in 99, there was a much older woman and man (in their 60s I believe) sitting right beside me, and when the Uncle Fucker song started, I was cringing soooo bad. lol Theater was packed to the gills. Everyone was laughing so hard! I was dying.
Was surprised to see Tim here 😱😜👍🏾
17:31 I’d put BASEketball at the top, then this, then Team America. I haven’t seen Book of Mormon yet, so I can’t place that in the list, yet, sadly.
Hey Tim. Great seeing you here. So first I want to say this movie just passed a major Milestone so I've noticed a lot of videos about this movie over the last couple of weeks. 2nd I want to mention that the name of this movie was actually supposed to be all hell breaks loose. But the MPAA was being super critical about the movie. So they demanded that Matt and Trey changed the name and in Matt and Trey Style they decided to call it bigger Longer & Uncut thinking that the MPAA would be like no you can't call a movie that. Surprisingly, the MPAA didn't clue in till like 2 weeks before release. Another amusing thing is apparently the song Uncle F*cker was supposed to be MoFo but that would have immediately given them an NC-17 rating for this film. Discount does also hold a record for the most curses in an animated film at 399 over 170 of which is the F-word
I can not get away from this guy! networking like a madman
I gotta agree
@@TimotheeReacts meant nothing bad btw, keep up the good work bro!
"What did she do to deserve this?" Well, she WAS the one that Dave Grohl famously cheated on Louise Post with, Louise having been the girl who inspired the song Everlong.
What a great reaction to this movie, you two have such great chemistry, it’s so fun to watch you together! Yes more of this! I prefer this to Team America, but I still love both.
All the best singers and actors and actresses come from Canada as well
I remember watching the premiere when this movie dropped in theaters. I haven't laughed that hard in a long while. The only other time I laughed that hard was "Kung Pow! Enter the Fist", which, by some strange coincidence, villainized the French... there seemed to be a recurring theme... ... ... Huhn...
You missed the post credits scene where it still shows Ike alone in the attic because everybody forgot about him. 😂
This is the only movie that I went to on an opening day where the theater was full and then when the Uncle Fuker song came on I turned around and most of the theater was walking out. Not meant for little kids which is why the parents left.
Fun fact the blame Canada song won a award at the academy awards
Matt and Trey said one of the reasons they picked on Canada is because unlike most other countries Canada, and Canadians, would laugh with the movie rather then get upset.
Damn i miss the 90's so much...
Wow, have we really reached a point in our cultural zeitgeist where people don't know that Kennedy died _all the time_ on South Park? That was like, the one ubiquitous thing about the series, that if anyone knew anything about it was "Oh my God, they killed Kenny!" - in every. Single. Episode.
And then he'd come back and they'd just ignore that he died in the previous one. At least up to a point, after several years, and long after this movie, they decided to do an episode _about_ Kennedy dying; as the central plot of the episode; and they decided to just keep him dead for a while. But then they brought him back. Later still they gave an in-narrative explanation that Kennedy gets reborn from his mother every time he dies, everyone else forgets, but Kenny actually remembers every single death. Not sure if they've done anything with it since.
Kenny dies, in almost every episode of South Park. At least that was the running gag for the first few seasons. I haven't watched the show in a very long time. But this was the first time we ever got to actually see Kenny's face and hear is voice.
I started watching south park in 97 until I got tired of it i have seen this movie and it's really funny 😂
19:57 Revenge for your laughs at the Panama Canal detonation in Team America. 😂😂😂
This holds the record for most curse words in a movie
I watch this movie at least once a year, and I as a canadian sing along with Blame Canada
When you see all 25 seasons of South park this movie is tame compared to some episodes that got banned.
Other fun fact: Kennys voice when he reveals his face was Mike Judge AKA the creator of Beavis and Butthead.
32:10 got distracted/creeped out by the spider crawling up behind you😮
Besides that, your reaction to the talk and appearance of the clitoris was legendary 😂😂😂 equal parts horror and agreement about it being so crucial to getting a woman to like you, OMFG🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Mattb Scott" lol
Fun fact: this movie has the Guiness World Record for most curse words in a feature length film. 399 curse words, of which there were 144 fucks lol.
I saw this movie and an Austin Powers movie at a double feature at a drive in when they came out. My cheeks hurt from laughing so hard!
11:43 is actually accurate and true, especially the Hell population sign.
Oh no! This is gonna be a rumble for Tim reaction, today.
You're so fucking funny, your Patreon was so worth it
DUDE! It's not called "OK" it's called mmm.Kay! James Hetfield from Metallica singing how he is going to hell is brilliant!
Fun fact: did you know the Dr was voiced by George Clooney :)
28:14 lol
Loved this movie as a kid.
this movie was the first time that we heard Kenny's voice
