Anyone who actually travels with a projector knows the power source is a HUGE part of the portability of projector and you completely avoided if it has a huge power brick.
I’m not sure why that would be an issue. It’s no bigger than a laptop power supply. Maybe you can explain why you think it is an issue. It might help for future reviews.
@@Toid For travel, where you need every bit of space you have, a large power brick compared to being able to use your cell phone power supply makes a big difference. I would not want to carry a laptop and its power brick and another power brick for a projector. That will get too heavy. I will give you credit that it's a new appearance of projectors that have the ability to use USB-C for power and will be limited to lower power consumption projectors. I'm leaning towards getting the anker nebula capsule 3 for that reason. It is not near as capable as the atom but a lot more portable and still can do well if the room is mostly dark.

@@donjaun540the Xgimi Ultra is definitely great for its price point. I really love that projector. But this is also half the price. with that in mind this is the best projector that I have reviewed under $1000. So a lot of that comes down to what price point you’re looking at.
@@Toid Oh I totally agree with you. That price is awesome 😎. I have like 40 3D movies and that is one of the main reasons why I want a good 3D projector. Of course I wish I could buy the best but I'm definitely not rich. Thank you for your videos. I wish they would loan you a bunch of say $2500 and under projectors. Then you could do an awesome 😎 comparison. Too bad they don't make a big 3D TV or something you can say buy and attach to any TV to make it 3D capable. I have the exact 3D Sharp AQUOS Quattron TV 70" I use everyday since 2012. That TV still works just fine.
This is not 4k . Just take the 1,000 bucks and get a good 85 inche 4k tv. Or put that 1,000 dollars towards a 98 inche 4k tv. You can get a benq or epson 4k projector for the price of this or a little more depending on where u live in the world. Benq and epson will be give u warranty support. This projector make may not.
Purchased this projector, Dangbei is fooling customers.😠 1. It is a premium full hd projector, doesn't even support 4k video streaming/play back 2. They used very CEAP soc, that lags while playing/streaming full hd sometimes. 3. MEMC is a feature that ensure smooth playback/ streaming. Even entry level led projector have this. This one doesn't. 4. I purchased halo plus before but retured it, thought that this one is better after seeing all the reviews. That was a LED projector. Now I regret.
$1000 …for a TV…. That has a laser projection system good for a million years… ok 10 plus years. Nope 1) what is the actual warranty BEFORE I PAY FORNTHE EXTRA WARRANTY. 2) will the SOFTWARE… WORK ….. GUARANTEED…with all or most software for the next two years. 3) will the firmware updates assure that the HARDWARE is compatible…. For ten years? 4) who builds this. 5) is there a privacy statement?.. is some Chinese company collecting my personal or even usage data? Nice , brand new… shiny… brilliant…hoooooge… got it. But will it really provide service for ten plus years….and NOT steal my data. Thx

Your projector reviews are always enjoyable - Liked the video!
Thank you Dan
Nice review and this is a really nice projector, looks great, quiet and some great features.
Hey @toid is there any chance you can share your settings for the Atom?
Your short brought me here. Don’t disappoint me!!!!

I wonder when we will have laser projector under 400-500$ with similar brightness (2500+ ANSI lumens) to replace lamps for classrooms.
Dis might be the one for me!!
It’s a really nice projector. If you lived closer, I would have you over to check it out

Is it better than the Xgimi horizon 4k ultra projector ❓
No.
@@Toid Thank you. That's the one I want. I think for the price there's nothing better unless you spend another thousand or more dollars.
