I do filmmaking / camera / lighting related stuff these days.. pretty unrelated. This video still gets views, I don't know why. Check out my newer stuff! ua-cam.com/users/tommycallaway
My main question was how much noise does the 10-head make, and your video showed me exactly. I like that you spent a good amount of time just being quiet and letting it run so I could turn up the volume and get the idea of what it sounds like. On this particular unit I'm not a fan of having exposed 110-220v. Even though it has a plastic cover over the terminals, that wont pass any UL rating as an appliance. To make it safe you'd have to add another grounded enclosure around the power supply. And I would connectorize the cord. If I cant find that style for sale, I will make mine that way. Cheers.
i feel like these mist makers should come with a splash-stopper by default, i've got one of the little £3 single mist makers, and the plastic splash-stoppers cost 3 times the price of the mist maker! would it really be hard for the people who make them to throw in a little plastic splash catcher? XD
@tommy callaway really it shouldn't have been allowed to be near the water mist in the first place as that is really really bad practice and quite dangerous. You could really really fuck your PSU or your life.
Thanks for the review! I'm thinking about using one as a mist effect for my haunted house. It looks like it filled the room pretty quickly. Does anyone know if the condensation is enough to cause a tripping hazard, or how long the mist lasts?
Do not use tap water (will calcify your transducers; bacteria and algae will grow in your tank) - distilled water works best. Get (or build) yourself a float for that brick, because the distance to the surface of the water is quite important. (less splashing, more fog) ✌ Excited for that tornado!
Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding, I wasn't clear enough. This kind of float: goo.gl/8nRyW9 but you can build your own: goo.gl/WmqxqN PS: the liquid you use doesn't have to be water...
Put one in my guest bathroom with some essential oil in it on a motion sensor. Because we all have that 1 friend that blows up your bathroom as soon as they come over.
No, it's cool. Just don't put your finger above the transducer within 2 inches or it'll feel like someone dropped a hammer on your finger and zapped you at the same time. Hurts like hell.
i'd like to see it with active airflow, trying to figure out if I want to build my own fogger/humidifier for a greenhouse or buy a prebuild agricultural one.
I am building one and I need to know where to buy the cord. Not having any luck at Best Buy and would like to pick it up instead of ordering online but if I need to order online so be it. If you’d be so kind, may I please have a link for the proper cord for my power supply? Is it possible to use a cord I already have and cut and rewire it, so long as it has line neutral and ground wires? Or does it need to be a specific cord? Thank you!
Tommy Callaway wonderful! So I can just cut the “female piece” off of a cord I have laying around and as long as it has line neutral and ground wires I’ll be good to go? Thanks in advance. I am no electrician
@@ericrodriguez3275 Oh yeah... I got one And i have around 15 plants and i could have more. Some that I actually resurrected. I'm using it as an incubator since i just got it. I'll probably show it off soon on my channel if you want to see my ghetto invention loll

DUDE
😂😂😂
Does the temperature of remaining water drop. What is the difference in temperature
i like how the psu has a fan which sucks up all the fog arround the psu
+Hello lol. Won't be just laid out on the floor in the final design.

I was honestly more worried about the light on the bathtub.
Question: Does it work if I put scents on it? will it spread them?
The mic you use must be one of the best.
Hey Tommy, hows the humidifier holding up after all this time?
Now I know how the film create this special effect 😄😄
works great !
hi is it normal to get shock when i touch the white damper area when the device is on? cause im afraid it might have electric leak

The block has a built in float, the weird looking metal thing on the far end of it. :) And thanks! I'll grab myself some distilled water

Holy f. That thing don't wait and just start steaming. Cool stuff
hi sir. will it cool a room if I use it?
Depends on if the water is cold or not
I am designing an incubator so I have been wondering if a 2 head of this type can be enough for my my incubator!
So dang cool
this is cool
It look nice

what will be the fog temperature?
wow! neat device! and so much better than chemical fog!
so are you now going to buy a gfci outlet plug for your bathroom? hehe
haha, the GFCI stuff is so annoying!
i know, it's annoying safety first advice, but you can't fault me
Can i use a 42V - 48V of DC to run it??
does the water around it get hot?
No, it's cool. Just don't put your finger above the transducer within 2 inches or it'll feel like someone dropped a hammer on your finger and zapped you at the same time. Hurts like hell.
Hi! I bought one but unfortunately it won't produce fog but it turns on. Can you help me identify the problem, Sir? :(
@Tommy Callaway,
Great video! Congratulations on the video. Do you know what time interval this 10-head humidifier needs maintenance?
this just work with water?
I want this machine how many price

ua-cam.com/video/YNOcY3eI81w/v-deo.html
how does it perform in long run? I read some feedback that the unit after some use exploded in water.
It over heats big time.need to have it on a timer 15 min at a time at most
Good job not getting electrical shocked
Thanks! lol
is it cold or hot mist? 🙄
Cold :)
What is the area covered by this humidifier? Will be very helpful if anyone knows
is there any warranty on these? are they reliable for 24/7 operation?
Is the fog emitted warm/cold?
It depends on the temperature of the water and air temperature, usually feels cold
Kaha per milegi
Does the fog fall every time? I wanna make a waterfall effect with this
Yes
If the water is not hot
@@R5555. i see, thanks
how to repair atomizer please hel me
I bought the same ultrasonic transducer. Where did you get the power supply and plug from?
How we repair
Well that sure is one way to humidify your room in a hurry, and to add all kinds of “White Dust” to the room too.
Do you think this will work with hydrogen peroxide

You can get cords from Home Depot or Lowe’s. You can also use the cord from any other device as well.

nice ,, once the video started i thought what a great audio , wondered which mic, then i saw it 1:48 Rode mic, is it the stereo pro?
For the intro I was using a Blue Spark into a Zoom H6
What is price सर
What i advice could you give me for installing this in a church. On the stage
Make sure they’re submersed in water (distilled is better) and hooked up to a proper power supply with an on and off switch.
Tommy Callaway thank you man great video
This unit is about 250W, So at 48 volts, a 5 amp power supply would have sufficed. But hey, go big or go home right! lol
How is this unit so far ? Tommy I might buy one very soon.
Is it safe to use Chinese 48v power supply? I just worry it going to burn out
That is insane!
Slingshot channel reference?
+JMMC1005 yeah lol
Tell me what would happen if you filled your sink with e-juice? Do you even vape bro?
I’m pretty sure a bro would appear in the cloud of smoke in his lifted truck and ask what flavor it was
I'm worried about my equipment but I will do nothing and proceed
put 10 of those in a tub
For some reason I was expecting more a lot of people might be impressed by this but it seems like a waste not enough fog or Miss
oh my god...
Anyone eve4 use this outdoors? Lmk
Poop matches. Caught that!
i already done it on a single head with leds
its not steam
24v
dare you to put your finger tip rt above the transducer while its on dare ya
+TechBaron, Cameras and more! I've heard from a few people that tried it. Said they would never do it again. Lol
did it! ha ha ha aaaah pain. so much pain!
🙃That's how I clone my plants
🔥Now
Was considering using something like this for a fogoponics set up but the ten disc may be slight over kill
