    This was the most helpful video I have seen on the subject. I finally had the confidence to trim my 3-month beard after watching this. Thank you!

    I'm growing my "Covid19 confinement Beard" right now, for the heck of it and for the first time in my life (I'm 66). About 2 months in, I thought it didn't quite look right, and thanks to your videos now I know why and what to do about it. Great stuff - keep 'em coming!

    Probably one of the most informative videos on UA-cam in terms of trimming WELL DONE GUYS Awesome video!! So trimming the fly away hairs is ok? I was worried this would take away the fullness of the beard

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  5 років тому

      Don't go crazy, but be sure you style the beard first! Before trimming them, try brushing or combing your beard with a blow dryer and some beard butter!

      @@livebearded Ah ok, I have a beard clean up next Saturday so what I usually do is do my routine like any other day with balm and then get the little hairs taken care of

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  5 років тому +1

      Balms are ok, but usually a little tacky feeling so you don't get the natural feel for how your beard is going to lie down.

    Great video - I've had bad experiences at the barber, so now I'm hesitant to go back
    I complete my Yeard on 10/31 - I'm trying to decide if I should go for a trim to clean it up, or just keep going for the double Yeard

  • @CamxCam.

    My beard is very similar to Justin's here (maybe a little longer), only I dont grow much hair under my bottom lip, so there's no connection from my beard to my light soul patch. My mustache is also very light/blonde so it doesn't look really thick.
    I just wish hair would grow where it doesn't, & grow where it's _stopped_ growing (on the crown on my head). I know I should be grateful for the hair I've got, because some people can't grow _anything_ on their face. I think most ladies prefer it that way, though.

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  5 років тому

      You said it best bro! Just grow what you have. Justin here kept growing for months after and had a very good, thick looking beard. It's all about pushing through the wall and giving it a good foundation for growth! You got this bro!

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  5 років тому

      Every beard is different. We typically suggest 3-4 months without shaving so you can see the fullness and growth patterns of your beard. For pure epic beards, they usually are over a year old.

    Can’t believe I’m asking this... is there any good reason to start your beard over? Does a beard “get old” and need to be rebooted ever? I e had mine for... 6 years straight and before that I would grow it every year. Just wondering if there is a benefit to starting over.

    • @livebearded

      not really... But you can totally rejuvenate your skin. but that is not a total need.. unless you have a skin issues!

    I may try products in the future though.

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  5 років тому +2

      It's not a problem if you never use product. You want your beard to look how it does on a daily basis. So, if you use product, you'll want to have your product in and styled. If you don't, then it isn't an issue.

    Nice. Reminded me to trim my sides today! Got some crazy curls in the side burns lol. However, luckily for me, my overall beard seems to be coming in at the same rate of growth for length which is surprising the heck out of me. I’m going for a long beard from back to front so that it lays on the chest per say, so not wanting to angle mine forward with any sort of wedge look of that makes sense. This time around, I am letting nature take its course. In the past, I have trimmed and shaped too much and ended up ruining my beard. Not this time! Beard on!

    • @livebearded
      @livebearded  Рік тому

      Yes sir, I usually recommend 4-6 months of growth before getting it shaped. Gives it a chance to really fill in!

    • @BeardnScars
      @BeardnScars Рік тому

      @@livebearded I’ll do that then. I’m also afraid of going in and them messing up all this times worth of beard.. lol. Your videos on self trimming are good too so there’s that option.
