I mentioned a Swatch Lab that I did with laceweight mohair yarn - you can find it here: • Knitting with Variegat...
You can purchase both Manos del Uruguay Fino and Lang Kid Color from the store where I work, A Good Yarn Sarasota.
The Fino is on the website here: www.agoodyarns...
But you'll have to give the store a call for the Lang: www.agoodyarns...
Very pretty and elegant cowl. The softness shows on video.
That is great to hear, it's soo soft.
I love this pattern. I loved it the second I saw it on Ravelry and now I really can’t wait to cast it on. Really, really beautiful! 😍
Thank you so much!
Congratulations on your new pattern. I love the idea of knitting with fingering weight yarn and lace weight mohair together. I'm sure the cowl is super soft.
It really is hard to stop petting it.
Oh my this is darling and I have just the right combo of yarn to knit it!!
Can't wait to see yours!
Oooh, beautiful!
Thank you!
Beautiful. I think I have something in my stash for this.
Yay! I was thinking people might have stuff for this that they didn't know what to do with.
The cowl is beautiful, I already purchased the pattern and yarn, can't wait to get started!!!
Hope you enjoy it!
This is so lovely! Sadly, I don't have anyone I would gift it to due to the cost and effort involved. And, as you know, living in Florida I probably would never wear it. 🥵 But it is a fascinating project! After watching the mohair swatch lab I would be tempted to hold two mohair together and add the fingering weight with one mohair for the alternative colorwork. I love the extra detail on the edge. I wish I could see it in person.
Thank you for introducing us to the finger guide. I would LOVE to see a tutorial on how to use it in a project.
Thanks so much Barbara, gorgeous as always!❤️
Oooh, that would make something very ethereal. Now I want to experiment with that LOL
I love the colors. I've never tried knitting with more than one strand, let alone with a different weighted yarn. How exciting!
It's not that hard but I found the finger guide immensely helpful.
Such an interesting idea! I got some nicely variegated Mohair from Knit Picks that I just found a pattern for!
Awesome, can't wait to see it.
Love it!🎉. I’m so slow tho- I’m not even done with the brim of my peephole hat😅
It's not the destination, it's the journey!
I bought the pattern today. ❤
Yay, thank you!
This is beautiful! I love the detail to soften the folded edge! You are so talented and creative.
Thank you so much. I love that detail too!
Wow it looks stunning. I love the way you have done the edge. On my list to knit.
Thank you! 😊
Wow! That is so yummy! I'm just getting through a backlog of videos, so I'm just seeing this, and will have to go get it. I recently ended up with some variegated mohair because I just couldn't resist, and now I know what I can use it for!
Fantastic! I'd love to see what you knit.
I have a stash of suri alpaca I think might work for this 👀
Ooooh, I bet it will.
What a lovely elegant cowl ! Can you tell us the exact yarn you used?
All of that info is on the pattern pages. It's Manos del Uruguay Fino and Lang Kid Color.
I have a variegated skein of suri and a bunch of 10g minis, do you think this would work well as a scrappy version?
Never know until you try!
