      @rjwhipple8896 6 років тому +3

      The levers are most likely a compression release for each cylinder no clue what the foot is didn't really look I know the 2 on the side are throttle and choke

    I'm not easy to impress, but this machine is just so spectacular! You created a piece of art and top-notch craftsmanship.
    I can't remember I've ever seen anything like this. Everything was made from scratch and beautifully put together to one single amazing unit.
    Congrats to you and the people who helped you to realize this build...you produced an outstanding piece of mechanical art.

    Beautiful bike ! At low revs it sounds like a locomotive . TY to all those involved in building this wonderful historic racer as well as those who filmed this video . It would be nice if this team got to take the bike to Bonneville & see how fast it could go . For the fact that it could hit 90 mph as a single speed bike back then says a lot , as the state of metalurgy has definately improved as well as the quality of fuel , I wouldn't be supprised to see this bike be able to do 120 mph out on the salt flats w/racing fuel . TY again to all those involved in this project .

  • @about2mount

    Only one problem I see with it. What oils the upper rod bearings and valve guides? Seems there were no oil flow galley way holes drilled in the two rods either for a crankcase splash type oiler. You may have to build you a top oiler for the valve guides to and add oil occasionally.
    At the base where the two rods connect at the crankshaft, you need two flat but thin steel plates to push onto the crankshaft next to both rods. Have half inch ears bent off of these to paddle or splash oil upward underneath the pistons. Then on the upper rod journals drill two 33 degree oil galley holes so the splashed oil can do its job on the upper rod bearings.
    Its a nice project and good to see a real machinist tackle what many think is impossible. We had an old OX Biplane in our family barn. And I always admired how they built them old radial piston engines with hardly anything but two railroad beams welded to four legs for a lathe. And hand milled key-ways and pockets in sand casted cast iron or aluminum parts.
    We have tools today that can do the unimaginable, but not many doing it. Thanks !
