This is one of the oldest American made motorcycles surviving today. This is the only complete, restored 4-Stroke Steffey in the world!
All restoration work, filming, editing, music, and production was done by me.

Alexa, play “The Circle of Life” from The Lion King.
I've been waiting for this since seeing the bike in the background of a previous video. What a clinic in early 20th century mechanics and tech. Really really well done.
He filed the screws until the slots lined up when fully tightened !!
Brings tears of nostalgia to these eyes which remember that such used to be standard fare for Made in America.
Drop a line to Jay Leno. If he isn't interested, he definitely would know someone who would be. Pity you missed the Concours D'Elegance for this year. That would have sold it in an hour.
Music was very nice.
25 points to House Larson for exceptional taste, skill and attention to detail. An additional 20 sexy points for all around kewlness.
*_The fact the David built this from pretty much SCRATCH is amazing..._* People are talented!
I’ve been subscribed for a long time and I’ve missed you while you have been away.
I obviously was drawn to your channel because of your vocals.
This is next level. Please don’t stop.
Voice: Amazing.
Your take on the voice: enlightening
This bike: speechless. 😶
Masterpiece. 100%
A work of art and craftsmanship, awesome vid
Dope 👍👍 keep it up my guy 👊👊
Hey men
@@hondaxe6781 😂😂
As someone who loves to watch restoration work, this was an absolute treat! The bike looks amazing!! Many thanks for sharing this project with us David and I'm looking forward to what restoration projects come next (as much as the vocal techniques and beatbox reviews)
ive never watched a restoration video until now and i love it
Dude i really like some of the tunes playing, amazing work besides the bike itself!
Im really glad i found your channel :)
Back when engineers realized that not only was it functional to have components out in the open, its mighty goo looking too!
incredible work!
Outstanding Dave, thank you for sharing!
You could make a video on any topic and it would still be quality content. It's absolutely astonishing to see the way you have restored this. It's simply a treat to look at.
Omg that was incredible bro
Very nice job well done, I love it and your attention to detail this is the way it should be done. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I admire very much what you have achieved, it is very satisfying. Congratulations
Absolutely gorgeous build 💞
Well, i didn't expect this from this channel but I'm pleasantly surprised
Incredibly fantasticly thought out design and an unreal restoration. It looks like jewelry.
Love that front brake ! I thought the front brake on my 67 Harley was weak, but that brake looks weak for a childs 1/2 size bike. ! Pioneers in cycling ! Would not the drive belt have had staples? Stitching does not seem like it would hold ? But, it was 1901.!
This was sick
Dude. Thanks for sharing this. It's wicked cool.
Thanks for sharing David. Amazing video!
*_If I am correct, a motorcycle like this is shown used in the_* Mr. Beans Holiday Movie. *_LOL Movie is so hilarious!_* I highly suggest watching it if you have never seen it.
Beautiful bike.
Beautiful machine
u've done it again well done this is fiiiiirrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeee
congrats man! The Amount of work it must take to finish this is unimaginable to me... looks amazing!
Wow .... its beautiful,
Great job!
Cool bike. You did a great job很酷的自行车你做的非常漂亮
I like the combined exhaust and foot warmer =)
Wonderful 👏
The double butted rear spokes were a surprise and the no flange front hub is gorgeous!
Some love from the bbxfam right here!
Right on!
I have tons of 30-50's white tires and none are that white unreal condition to start great job. True wood rims LOL! and spoon brake daring!
Wow I clicked this video just to give it a like and a comment to help the algorithm since I wouldn't say I'm a back fan on this but I ended up finding myself fully engulfed in this! The music was giving off a special atmosphere and from the video you could see the love, sweat and work you put into this big up ❤️
Wow... this Dedication and accuracy, so pleasing to watch 👌😏
Great Work, and great Video Montage as well. Who chose the Background Music ? It fit's really well 😊
Edit: just looked it up, you made the Background Track as well, it fit's the Video really good ✌😊
Awesome!
Had to at least give it a view 👌
Lovely👍
That brake must do wonders on wet road 🙃
After watching all of this I wonder why anyone would do all this work and not take a joyride on it
Me too.
Actually cool as heck, man 😎👍
Interestingly, this cycle is shaft drive while cars at this time were belt or chain drive. Time passes and it goes the other way around. I ride a shaft-drive motorcycle. But it is only twenty years old. I just have to say. What a beautiful restoration. Very well done. Although, I did notice one small mistake. The bracket used to install the oiler can is made of aluminum. Although aluminum was around at the time of this bike, it is highly unlikely that this part would have been made of aluminum. Aluminum was very expensive at the time.
Original 100 year old tires? Seems unlikely. Nice bike, great video.
I'm not interested in mechanics but that is incredibly curious!
This is incredible :O
How much lube do you want?
David: yes
Wow this is awesome
Classy.
Yeah this is Way Beyond the average guys range , I like seeing what working guys can put together with scrap
It is nice putting clean parts together. How much hard graft went on before that?
Let's see it ride
Loved the video! It's great to see you do other types of content that you enjoy making, the filming and background music are really good, but I have a question regarding one of the tracks. Is the hi hat of the track of 11:50 out of time? I don´t dislike it but I've been working on my timing and I've been having a crisis over wether the kick, hi hat and snare are evenly spaced or if the hi hat is a little late than it would normally be, either way the song is really good, also David if you're reading this don't let the numbers discourage you from making the content you love, I (and many people for what I can see) really enjoyed it and are waiting to see more stuff like this!
Does the Wheels Through Time Museum know about your bike? What is the displacement? This is better than Jurassic Park, bringing a vintage bike back to life!
cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Gostei demais do video.
Eu adoro mecânica.
Ótimo trabalho.
Eu fiquei um pouco frustrado por que queria ver a moto funcionando.
Mas tudo bem.
Brasil
It looks like it could be replicated for sure using a motorized bicycle kit
Such a shame it doesn't run. It would have been nice to see it being ridden.
Amazing work, I love it. Will we see you actually start it up though?
U have to react to azel demouth ( VIP) the liquid bass is demonic
damn, this is some hella advanced Lego
Don't have stand .. almost don't have brakes .. very clean whitout chain ! Beautiful bike and very beautiful work ! Why don't start ? The sound is mising !
So nice. Well done. I would want so badly to ride it everywhere, I'd have to make a ridable replica ;-) lol.
Looks like you bought all the parts refinished and painted by someone connected to wheels through time & then you assembled it
but does it run? looks great though.
Is it can Drive?
i really wanted to hear the sound of it
Can you release a video on how the hell you keep your hair so healthy
amazing restauration congrats nice job...but plz have a ride with it, at least show us the engine turning
Kreative..
Looks like you gut a kit on eBay. I don't mean this in a bad way
这个发动机我好想买一个
Hello bro
Columbia frame?...but seems a Pierce
i like bike you
I would like the here it run at least....a shame really...😩
Title says "very rare" and in the video it says this is the only one... c'mon it's not THAT rare if it's only one of a kind lol
But can it run Crysis?
Asking the real questions.
no start no like.
This may or may not be the spot to post this.... but I'm going with the most recent video you've posted. You definitely need to check out this beatboxer, Den. He has posted with the beatbox international, and I feel like he's either under appreciated, or unrecognized. He sings well, he articulates well, and his bass is pretty insane.
you have too many ball bearings in that race, always have one short, it will lock up. worked at a motorcycle since I was 14
Nice work but it would have been nice to hear it run
