I had the privilege of visiting with this young man at Kasson. His enthusiasm and the excitement in his voice was contagious! His skills are a true gift! “ OLD SCHOOL” love it!

I think it's awesome that there are still young guys that are so interested in keeping the old iron alive. Great job.

Love seeing those pictures of the ole girl in her glory. Especially one from up here in the north woods! It probably hauled into some of the mills my grandpa’s A models did!

I noticed the compression release on the motor when you opened the hood, and seen that aftercooler, look's like the old small cam 350 i took out of my truck in 87, that truck is really a good find and the history with it is price less. ( Old School Jerry )

I think it's a 335 looks exactly like my dads 335 he had in his 4070 transtar

    • @JeraldDelagardelle

@@soonerlegendspodcast That could be I had 335 in the 72KW Coe I bought in 77 but I traded it in on what I'm still driving in 78 so I realy dont remember if that 335 had an after cooler on it, but the small cam NTC 350 that was in the 78 when I bought it had that after cooler ,
anyway the corporation realise is what realy cought my eye something you only see on and old small cam and forgive me if I don't remember what my 335 looked like after all that was over 44 years ago when I owned that .
      Respectfully
      Jerry Delagardelle

Hi from France, what a beautiful story.I grew up in Australia and have driven "W model Kenworth's",can't explain it, but they are nice trucks to drive, the best one had a 450 Cummins in it,but that's going back 40 years ago (i'm 62).Seems like a really nice guy who owns it now.I live here in France now, drive a European truck,no gearleaver, automatic this, automatic that,anti-rollover,anti-collision,
as it's a petrol tanker i have no less than five high tech, super sophisticated surveillance/monitoring devices fitted, i feel like a criminal with an electronic ankle band.......how i miss that old Kenworth that had a clutch pedal,a gearstick,no electronic anything, no monitoring devices, you skook a blokes hand or you gave your word and it meant something.Funny how back then we had each others back, blokes would always lend you a hand,as you would also lend a hand to a driver in need, and god forbid if you ever did the wrong thing, just how it was back then.
Love your chanel, love that old school mentality.

Cool truck with a very cool story. Well done video. My wife and I rescued an aluminum hood FLC like the one sitting beside this KW. It too was headed to the crusher. Put batteries in it and drove it home. Have most of the history on it. Not near as cool of a story as the KW however. Keep up the good work.
