He's to slow especially on the Ravens compared to is Denver Broncos days, if he lost muscle to get faster his body would deteriorate faster on the field taking all those shoulder hits to the knees, tackles and blocking. I was essentially a tweener in highschool WR/RB coach slotted me at TE primarily probably because I had to much muscle even though I was known to be a speed sprinter up till highschool. I was 6'1- 215 all muscle I worked out with the DE's back then during lunch and after school a bit.

Well being retired he can focus more on muscle building than being an athlete. Super impressive for his age though.
More consistent recovery time especially in later years makes a big difference. Even though hes leaving nothing in the tank hes not doing anything stupid that he risks getting injured and having to lose progress.

Reason: the harder and smarter we work out the better of a chance we can slow down the effects of aging.

I believe doing the best you can is practical.
Who know if he is on steroids, or that he kept working out consistently even after his playing days. I believe the more we work out, especially smartly working out, getting proper rest, and smart diet will help us greatly as well as adequate sunlight, flexibility exercises and a positive attitude.
I applaud the workout and be willing to try to reach that level one day myself🙏🏼.

I'm 45 still doing deadlifts, bench, squats, and overhead presses and it feels great to do all that training rather than staying home 💪🏽
