      UNDISPUTED ON FS1 So does Shannon not receive this email? But yes of course he needs to be in the Hall of Fame. It does suck from Cris and you can tell he's a little bit salty about people pushing for TO so hard when he had to wait. People did that for him but the thing is the majority of the time TO was on a team, he was the best receiver they had, and holds records on just about every team he played. Cris was great but he did get to benefit from a good QB and a number one wide out in Randy Moss

      Jason Brown They talking bout off-field issues like T.O was causing those kind of problems.

    • @jordanpittman5603
      @jordanpittman5603 7 років тому +14

      Jason Brown he destroyed 3 different teams. Every team he was on half the people hated him or liked him. that causes division. he's public attacked coaches and things go so bad the eagles just fired him and sent him home. He's attacked other players and coaches on the 49ers and Dallas cowboys. if you watch skips arguement of why you he shouldn't be in it makes total sense. like chris carter said if the NFL is starting to use the locker room and outside things as reasons why a player should or shouldn't be in then Terrell Owens definitely doesn't deserve to be in.

    • @jordanpittman5603
      @jordanpittman5603 7 років тому +3

      Jason Brown if things get so bad that no matter how great you are that the team you're on literal fires you and thinks your attiude is effecting the team more than you're playing ability that should definitely be a knock on your resume. As a player sure he should be in but when it comes to character and holding yourself to a certain standard he disqualifies himself.

      Ask yourself this, is the HOF just about numbers? What about "Wow" factor. I saw Chris Carter beat Joe Montana and Steve Young by himself once. He was scary, sneaky good. T.O was the "here he comes" dude. The "you can't stop him, try to contain him" guy. The HOF is a historical society. All the HOF organizations have the same problem: There's a backlog of greats that should be honored and the only reason not, is cause of time. Time erases everything, even memories. You want to see Drew Pearson crying cause he didn't get in? His heyday was 45 years ago. Who stands up for him? So back to the here and now, some guys are gonna have to wait to do right by the history of the game. To prove that the past has some kind of traction.

    Ok I agree with Shannon Sharp. TO should be in the HOF. And if they are not letting him in the HOF for his character then put it in the bylaws but hear me out on this. When Tom Brady and Bill Belichek retire don't you think they will get 1st ballot? Even though they are caught cheaters. Integrity is part of your character so if we are going off of that for TO the same needs to be applied to TB and BB. Cris Carter naming other players that had to wait to get into the HOF doesn’t make it right that TO had to wait or others had to wait. In fact, he’s giving HOF voters a pass instead of calling them to the carpet. Additionally, I’m sure his drug use might’ve been the reason he had to wait.

    It takes a special set of balls for Cris Carter to put himself in the conversation with T.O. as equally deserving. I mean let's be honest what can't you see with the eye test stats aside? There's only three people in the discussion truly of GOAT at WR and it's Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, and Terrell Owens. The Cris Carter's and Marvin Harrison's need not be mentioned in the same breath.

    • @emssasukeisunderrated7946
      @emssasukeisunderrated7946 7 років тому +1

      teejay Trujillo Plunkett was talented obviously as he went #1 overall but his career was never even close to HOF worthy. Granted until he got to the Raiders he played on some bad teams but even with the Raiders he only had 2 or 3 okay seasons even for that era. Now Plunkett in the playoffs played like HOF QB, his two SB games on per game basis is only clearly behind Montana, Bradshaw and Starr in how great and dominant he was in those games and up there with Kurt Warner, Aikman and Brady or even better than those three. It also helps he has an 8-2 postseason record.

    The writers didn’t support the bylaws, even Shannon Sharp said T.O. is a first rounder. When character flaws are written in the bylaws, then it will take more then stats to get in. Even a NFL poll was taken and T.O. was accepted a 1st ballot. Terrell is on point about the bylaws. Chris Carter is getting paid well, he will follow “their ways”.
    Then make character flaws “OFFICIAL” in the HOF bylaws. It’s not “OFFICIAL” yet, the NFL needs to follow the rules they engage.

    I think current players that are in the league now that who we know are future hall of famers, they need to pay attention that if you act like an idiot to the media, in the locker room, or just flat out are immature, you're going to be in the same boat TO is. We know TO is a Hall Of Famer, I have no debate there. But his idiotic antics is why he's not in yet. Like it or not, the process to get in the HOF is what it is. If the system changes and only former players, coaches or GMs or those who worked in the NFL can vote, that changes things and I hope it does change because TO should be a hall of famer. He was a beast on that field! Everyone knows that!

    T.O. has less flaws as a man than some who have been inducted--antics aside. His abilities as a player demonstrated not only his potential but his playmanship. He got the job done!!! The dude earned his place.

    the media should count for 50% of the vote, so keep that the same. However, they should not be the only critiques of the game, as players, coaches, gms, owners, see the game from the other side. They need to add an equal number of votes that should come from members of the hall of fame, voted by the member of the hall of fame (each year, or every set number of years).

    I'm an Eagles fan, so I HATE TO, but he's the 2nd or 3rd best receiver EVER. Him not getting into the hall of fame on the first ballot is a joke. Can't say it upsets me to see him mad about it though haha.

    Now come on now there are hall of famers in the hall right now that had off the field issues. If that's the case randy Moss is not suppose to be in there yet. He said he was going to play when he wanted to. But they loved him so much on ESPN all of that got over looked. I'm basketball Tracy mcgrady wasn't suppose to get in yet but he was Loved like randy Moss so they made it happen for him. So don't yal try to make it seem like they so strict on the criteria because like Shannon said if they don't want you to get in there they will definitely make a case against you
