    I actually saw him in buckhead atl working out on the elliptical machine about 20+ years ago, never changed. Either do I, great inspiration.

    Shannon should do a workout take like the one that Billy Blanks did years ago. I bet it would sell.

    I am 46. I work out hard and I have for the past 5 years. I look nothing like you! Genetics helped a lot and you didn’t discuss diet. I think diet is more important than exercise!

      Working out hard for 5 yrs vs 40yrs is huge difference my man. Shannon grew up doing farm work as a kid and trained as an athlete since his adolescence. You can’t expect to compare yourself to that after 5 yrs of work in your 40s.

    How old is Shannon, about 40 to 45? When I was his age I could do a LOT of working out, maybe not as much as he does but still a good hour or so a day and that included some racquetball too, but as the years came my drive went down, just as it does for professional athletes who when that hit that "age", whatever it is, they know its time to quit. I remember when I was in my late 30's I would go to the playground and run a full court basketball game (30 points wins the game). As soon as the game was over dudes would say, "you wanna run it back". My response was only running imma do is to the bench for some rest. Let them 20 year olds run it back!!!

      How old are you? I'm almost 53, and I still work out around 3 times/week (and can still run, jump and lift pretty much the same as 20 years ago). The only difference is recovery. Also, find a good trainer or a gym with group classes. That will help you with the motivation. Group classes (especially HIIT classes) have really helped me out as I've gotten older.

      @@jodizzle6321 : Well as I said, and I am not trying to be mean, as you age you will find that your energy level will go down. I am age 80 now and I do exercise 3 or 4 days a week, using a rowing machine which I can do about 20 to 30 minutes on, and/ a recumbent bike which I can do about the same on. HOWEVER, a few years ago, when I was in my 70's, I would go to our health club five days a week and do 30 minutes on the weight machines and then do an additional 20 to 30 minutes on the elliptical, rowing, and bicycles for a total of a least an hour of workout.
      The other thing about aging is you will find that there will be days when you just don't have it, and other days when you can do all that you want to do.

      @edwesby5752 It should never be “time to quit”. Not working out and a sedentary lifestyle only ages you faster. I know 70 year olds that still workout religiously. I’ll be 46 this year myself.

      @@TheHardTruth101 ; Well I am 80, going on 81 in a few months and I work out 3 or 4 times a week. Rowing for 30 minutes and/or riding a recumbent bike for 30 minutes. HOWEVER, there are some days when I just do not feel like doing a thing, no energy and drive. And, you wait about 30 years and you will understand what I'm talking about. Your mind wants to workout but your body says no, or vice versa.

    No squat rack or leg press?

    • @jodizzle6321
      @jodizzle6321 3 місяці тому

      I think Sharpe has had two hip replacements, so he probably can't squat or leg press very much. So he is big and strong in his upper body, but if you knock him off his feet, he might not be able to get up.

    • @ramtron1775
      @ramtron1775 2 місяці тому

      Bro, he has a squat stand barbell and plates. And dumbells. That's basically all you need for all your compound lifts. And you don't need a leg press. The only think I would add to this gym is a wall mounted cable tower for all my cable work.

      He’s really not that big. It’s not like he’s Kali muscle. His frame looks like decades of hard work and never stopping. I prob put on 20 lbs first year in the gym and it’s mostly muscle. Genetics is also important.

      Definitely not natty, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t work his ass off. You actually end up working out longer, harder, and more oftenwhen elevated.
