She seems so sweet and appreciative of the experience! Great uncle and great video. Just picked up my model Y a couple days ago and im finding excuses to drive it lol
Auto pilot newbie - terrifying yet exhilarating. Love it. Don't worry about the whtie interior. Cleans up with a little bit of Dawn and a microfiber cloth.
That perfect stop - there are discussions in some Tesla communities whether the car actually recognizes you want to stop at the stop line, or a reasonable distance behind the car in front and modulates the deceleration a tiny bit to make you come to that perfect stop. I personally lean towards believing it - my stops turn out to be perfect way too frequently to be entirely my skill. I'm not talking about stopping from 30 km/h, I'm talking about cruising down a country road at 100 km/h, approaching a roundabout, letting go of the accelerator and coming to a stop in exactly the right spot more often than not. If it was skill, I'd have to time the letting go to within 0.03 seconds.
Great endorsement from a new young driver....I'm sure her peers will ONLY want to go EV when they 're in the market for a car. Can't get enough of reactions from first time EV drivers! So fun.
About that acceleration - it's not about getting to highway speeds easily. The on-ramp is easily long enough for even the most under-powered car to get up to speed. It's about being able to match the speed of the other cars quickly. You just see the speed you want, press the accelerator and a second (possibly less) later you're there. And if the ahole in the traveling lane doesn't want to let you in and rides the bumper of the car in front, you just punch it and take the next gap. No need to fight to merge. I do have to admit - my patience with idiots has worn thin. E.g. the merging scenario above. I try to merge for 1 second. If I didn't get in after that, I go somewhere else.
I love her genuine reaction !! Priceless. That is my reaction every time I get inside my refreshed M3 LR. Best car !!! First EV. Puts a smile on my face every time I get to drive it. I had to rent an ice car and it was horrible. Only Tesla
The look on her face when she heard 'heated steering wheel'. I was a bit disappointed when my '21 Model 3 didn't have a heated steering wheel when I got it in March of 2021. I was so accustomed to it in the legacy luxury sedans I had been driving for over 20 years. Then, a few months later, an update came along and I suddenly had a heated steering wheel! I knew then that I would never go back to to ICE.
I must admit Tesla Barbarian got me hyped up to buy a tesla model3 in later 2022. Then tesla dropped prices, and lost my love. But after 2years I find it hard to hate on my tesla. It's been a great car and complete awesome experience driving. Low cost of ownership in fuel (electric charges) and maintenance for the 2years I've owned one. I added a Stealth tow hitch package and Aluma 5'x10' with a 3.5k single axle trailer this year and love it even more. More payload and trailer surface area then my f150 truck bed ever had.
An idea to a video: An autodealer who never drove or has been in a Tesla, who is very sceptical about EVs in general. Would be cool to see the reaction before and after
Her reaction is so cool. My grand daughter has her beginer's permit and maybe she'll get my Model Y in a few years when I trade up to a new Juniper MY or a Cybertruck.
Very refreshing to see a teenage driver who actually seems confident, and competent! Not just anyone can get into a Tesla and pick it up so easily. You should both be very proud!
I use my Tesla to teach my teenaged daughters how to drive. It is way easier than a normal car because EVs don't idle. You can put the Tesla in drive and it won't move until you press on the accelerator pedal. I still you the brakes when I misjudge the stop, someone cuts me off, or in emergencies/sudden stop required. But, in normal traffic, I rarely use my brakes, if at all. In particular, in climbing and descending mountain passes - regen breaking is a super power. Also, your video is blown out or overexposed.
I have just watched two of your videos. You have the most calm, eloquent, encouraging, kind way of speaking; and I am very impressed with the way you share the Tesla experience. You may be the perfect person to credibly dispel some of the misinformation being spread about EVs by well funded entities interested in the gas burning status quo.
Ugh I want a tesla SO BAD! Im about to resort to asking people to help donate so I can get one bc i dont make much money at my job and i got a car loan rn that i got screwed on. I appreciate you posting content about the tesla and how everyone likes it!
@@TeslaBarbarian Oh grand. This happened to our MYLR about a month ago. It's in the shop now (3rd day) getting checked over. We got Lucid Air Grand Touring as a loaner and honestly, we miss our Tesla although it was less than half the price of Lucid. Lucid I feel is being let down BIG time by the software (and lack of features therein). For 136K car that has many more cameras on it, having no dash-cam or sentry capability is inexcusable and a huge disservice to a vehicle that could actually be real competitor to Tesla. And yet they claim "we spared no expense". *insert eye-roll here*
Saved a lot of money upfront because an ICE car that is just as comfortable to drive costs $200k+. And he saves the people in the immediate environment from breathing in toxic gases. +++
I'm a little late to the party but anyhow, this was about funnest (It's a word according to Merriam Webster dictionary) and genuine review. I guess we lose something along the way as we age and end up being too "political" in expressing our feelings. I'm happy you are so supportive of your niece also. Good job both of you! Subscribed after 2nd video (this one) I've seen!

Another happy Tesla experience, and "Tesla Smile". Thanks again.
Tesla needs to do teen outreach, they will never want to drive an ice car again.
As a Tesla shareholder, I almost cried 🤗 History is being made here!!
A lot of kids are very unimpressed with ICEs already.
Great idea. Tesla could have a teen driving EV class program.
I’m not a teen but I’ll never buy an ICE car again!
Any EV car....
I sure enjoyed this video.

I love the "on the down low" advertising!
The white balance in this video 👌
Ok, that was entertaining! Great job on the edits.
Because there’s no binnacle display behind the steering wheel, Tesla was able to make the wheel smaller which gives a more responsive feel.

What a great drive! Enjoyed every minute! I want one!!!! Time to splurge for FSD & do it again :)

Of course, when it comes to the deel of the car, it would be greatly improved by using real leather.
