I just ran across this at a perfect time. I really needed this. Going threw a divorce I'm a loner. I've never been on a plane and I'm 37. Its time for me to get out into the world. Thank you so much. I felt like I was really there. I got very emotional. She enspires me.

I”m so sorry to hear about what you’re going through. They say divorce can be even more painful than the death of a loved one. I truly hope you get on a plane soon if you haven’t already. There are so many amazing things to see in this world. My husband visited around 50 countries as a solo traveler before we met, and he has the most amazing stories! There are so many adventures we can experience in this life. If you don’t have a passport yet try Hawaii for your first solo trip. I went with my family (before I was married), and while it wasn’t technically a solo trip, it might as well have been. My family is amazing, but they were there to relax. I was there to experience EVERYTHING. I’d get up at 5am and walk two miles to take surfing lessons while they were all asleep. I learned to Hulu, and was told by the instructor that she could tell I was a dancer. I am, but it was such a HUGE compliment coming from an amazing women sharing her culture with me. Now when I visit I let her know I’m coming, and we dance together. If you’re kind and respectful of their culture and the island the people welcome you with open arms, and you can find friends everywhere you go. Sorry to go on and on, but I really found myself there. I almost didn’t come home… but my mom convinced me to get on the plane. IDK… maybe you could find yourself too. And it might be a baby step to even bigger adventures abroad. Good luck to you, my friend. You’ve got this. I know that you only have amazing things ahead of you in this life, even though that may be difficult to see right now. God Bless.

I have been solo traveling for close to 20 years. And it really is the most magical stress relief you can ask for. Seeing, doing, eating whatever the hell you want, in an amazing area of the world.
Is it just me or does watching here videos just feel like an escape from the world? Even if they're only 10 to 20 minutes they always feel like a safe place that I know auntie Kris will help me with all of the things I'm going through, even if it's just a video, that put a smile on my face, not many things or even people can do that. So thankyou Kris, even ifyou can't see this just know you really do help a lot of us through tough times😊

I just love how this video kinda started sad then progressively gets happier with each step and i love how she adds different angles and perspectives. I also loved the music and i love how kris seems to get better along the way and seems noticably better by the end.

The emotion you show in the intro is really important to me and i know that sounds so weird, but i feel like so many people try to hide what they really are like, but you've always been so honest with us Kris, and I want you to know I appreciate it

I lived in Iceland for a year and a half. This brought back so, so many wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing this, Kris! To take on a solo trip like that by yourself is insanely brave, and I'm so happy you had a great time! (And thanks for showing me some places I missed seeing for myself!)
I dont know why but at times watching this I found myself getting a bit teary eyed. This was a very peaceful and absolutely gorgeous video. Kris looks so happy like genuinely happy being there. And I hope that one day I get the opportunity to experience something like this. Plus kris's hilarious commentary on this video made it even better. I come from Iceland. I moved from there 13 years ago and been living abroad since then. I can so relate experiencing this through your eyes because whenever I go back I also feel like a tourist. I've gone to see all those places you were and experienced the northen lights and being bullied by mother nature. It's really something.
Visiting Iceland is really a lottery. The weather dictates completely how you experience the country. You were there of course later in the year so it was cold but other than that you seriously got such a wide range of the nice type of Icelandic weather because most of the time its just gray, gloomy and raining and ALSO windy. You got bot the calm and the extreme winds but on clear sunny days. It makes the experience even more "authentic" in my opinion.
I am glad you mentioned the cousine. I have traveled all over the world and I still think that generally Iceland has the best tasting food over all. Minus the fermented shark. By the way - you got many points in my book for even putting that thing even in your mouth. I have only eaten it once and I had to be pretty drunk to do it.
Next time you go to Iceland, I would highly recommend renting a car, taking much longer time, maybe 2 weeks, and see the rest of the country. The nature changes drastically depending on where you are and it just gets more and more spectacular the further you go from Reykjavík.
If you want pointers on what to see or do next time you go, I'd be happy to share with you some secrets. For example. Did you know there is another lagoon like the blue lagoon which is locally known as the green lagoon and there are even naturally formed caves with natural hot water at consistant 40-45 C in them spread throughout lava fields?

As an Icelander, I'm really happy that you enjoyed the trip! To be honest I think that a lot of Icelanders don't see our country as beautiful as it really is, and it just gets more and more breathtaking the farther you go away from Reykjavík! A lot of kids in Reykjavík judge the whole country and see it just as Reykjavík, when it's literally a whole different experience. Anyways thanks so much for sharing this, it was really helpful and I'm so happy that you enjoyed your trip!

It's hard to describe, but there's something magical about what you do. Even when you're not your best you managed to make so many people feel theirs, and that is just such an amazing I'm very glad that you got to take a mental health vacation, and it was great to see you being free. I'm from Iceland, and I really enjoyed seeing my country being so appreciated by other people, and seeing one of my favourite influensers coming here exploring places that I've been to throughout my life is such a blessing (and kinda emotional) for me, it was such a privilege getting watching this video and screaming when i knew where you were throughout the video.
I went to Iceland about 7 years ago after ending an 8 year relationship and it was such an amazing trip. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a refresh!

@@lanecrescent4161 we did a long time ago but dont anymore. We get about 15*-20* on good days but It can go as low as 5 even in summer so do bring good clothing if you plan to visit.

I'm not anyone special, but watching this was amazing, so I watched again and made my husband watch it with me, and he agreed that we are definitely going to Iceland together. It'll be a little while, bc my youngest is only 4 years old, and I don't want to bring him too young to where he won't remember, but I also don't want to leave my 4 year old in another country without me lol. Iceland is just, so beautiful. The Northern Lights are remarkable, I've never witnessed them in person, I want to badly.
The views, the food, the history and facts... it was just all so beautiful! But when Kris laughed and smiled- that's what really took my breath away and made me happy. She's such a genuine person and she totally deserved this trip. In fact, throughout the entire video, I just kept thinking, "I'm really proud of Kris." Mental health is important and it's so reassuring to see one of my favorite people who helped me when I was struggling take care of herself.

The part when you sit down in that little cave on the waterfall trip. To be honest, that might be the cutest and most genuine happy face I have seen in a very long time from anyone. So no... Thank you Kris for actually taking us with you on your holiday trip! This was really amazing!
