I have 2 Vostok Amphibia's that both look great and keep good time. I also own an Invicta and Tandorio both with NH35a movements. I'm also happy with those. My understanding is the Vostoks with the lower beat movements incur less wear and tear therefore requiring longer service intervals of about 10 years. The Vostoks are also built like tanks which make them excellent tool watches.
Yup. In theory, it works. But yeah, some movement will have issues from time to time, regardless if it is a Vostok or a Seiko. Anyways, thanks for watching 😎
I wear a blue Vostok as a daily. It has been through a lot of punishment and it's my most useful diver. It's tough, sits comfortable on the wrist and having the bezel be silent is useful in meetings when I don't want to make noise. It's taken hits off of rocks while rafting. Putting a nice bezel and strap really makes the difference! Mine are extremely reliable and remain pretty accurate! Though it's always possible to get a clunker.
I too have a Vostok, a brilliant Watch. But the reserve is a bit limited. If you wear the watch all the time there are no issues - the movement works fine. I do take it off when I do DIY work which could be as much as 7 hours - then you must remember to wind the watch up fully before you put it back on your wrist. I would choose Vostok over Steeldrive
Have two steel Vostok's 200m. , one Vostok Amphibia and this one Vostok Komandirskie GMT. Build like tank, they still running great, looking cool and i love them both. There's an youtube video that shows the watches surpass the high pressure water chamber test up to 700m. Excellent watches and surely way better than that entry level brass model showed in that video.
Any watch looks poor value compared to that Steeldive, but the Vostok is an original design and made completely in house. If you read about the design features of the wobbly crown, case back and crystal, it is amazing that these watches are available so cheaply. If you get a dodgy movement a new one isn't expensive and they are easy to fit 👍
I go for the Vostok, the Chinese watches may look a very good deal for the money, but if you really look into them you will find they cut corners sometimes bent crowns not very well fit gaskets and some others details. the Vostoks are better in my opinion plus 200m water resistance
Well yes they do offer great value. But I've had enough quality issues with the Vostoks that I've reviewed. So it's just not that reliable anymore in my mind. But each to his own brother. Thanks for watching 😎
I'd go for the Vostok, too. Compared to the Chinese watch, Vostok has DECADES of *history of reliability*, and by most accounts, no other watch (except maybe a G-Shock) can take a beating and keep on ticking like a Vostok can. As some have said on YT, Vostok is truly the AK-47 of watches. It is also extremely temperature-tolerant; some swear the watch will continue to work even if frozen in a block of ice, although I haven't tested that myself. Next, though Vostoks have a less-than-desirable accuracy rating of -20/+60 (per the manufacturer) OUT OF THE BOX, from the comments I have seen by folks who own Vostoks, some of the watches actually ship with far better accuracy (like -5/+5). And in the event you get one that needs to be regulated, doing so is fairly easy, and there are videos on YT that show you exactly what to do, so no need to visit a repair shop. And the 200-meter water resistance is what is *advertised*. Don't be surprised if you take that watch down to 500 m, and nothing happens. (Vostok's Amphibia watches, also advertised at 200 M water resistance, have withstood pressures at 700 - 800 meters!) Lastly, but no less importantly, that Chinese clunker has absolutely no "personality" compared to the Vostok reviewed in this video. The SteelDive is just another ordinary, run-of-the-mill dive watch, which you will see coming and going all day on any street. The Komandirskie 650539, on the other hand, is sure to earn you some questions out of curiosity or outright compliments. And THAT is PRICELESS! 😉
I have one of these. Equivalent in function to the original Rolex GMT, just as waterproof and tough as the Rolex but only as accurate if you regulate it yourself. Like a Rolex diver if you drop it whilst it won't break it will need to be regulated again. As far as quality control goes if you buy three you will get two good ones.
I have both watches and I feel the Vostok is more comfortable than the Steeldive. I have the GMT Vostok now regulated to +5 Sec per day and it is consistent in time. The Steeldive "Willard" is certainly a good value for money given the Seiko movement and very solid case build. They are really two different watches and I enjoy both.
As another poster said Vostok is an original design and made completely in house" It's not a apple's to apples. As with all watches get what you like. I own this exact one and no issues. For the price you will not beat it for a tool watch! It has durability and is a true working mans watch. This model is actually better than some as it has the all steel case and not chromed brass. It's their AKM of the watch line ;).
The movement in my Vostok Komandirskie GMT seems to be on strike. Maybe it will be more cooperative soon. I have it on a black leather strap with red stitching.
Russian energy all day, unique like no other watch, instead of those homage copy's. My k35 when new the movement did some funny things like being out by a bit, then went good all of the sudden. And my amphibia 710 when new did stop a couple of times, but after wearing it it went fine. As almost they are a bit stiff from stock and have to wear in
At least Vostok dont do copies of Seiko, Longines, Omega, and other brands to sell. The Vostok you have, new, is under 100$, with original design, inhouse caliber, inhouse traditional case and 20ATM. If regulated is accurate as Seiko 7s or 4r movments. ... On the other hand you have a noname chinese nockoff of the Seiko Villard, with a knockoff Seiko caliber, who knows who made the christal, case and bracelet... A nice product for the real watch collectors 😂
Hey man. I review whatever comes to my hand. So if you don't like the Chinese watches that I featured, you can always skip and watch my other contents. Anyways, thanks for watching 😎

I like this one, I've been thinking about a new Vostok GMT.. 👍👍
Cool. As long as you like it bro. Thanks for watching 😎
I have blue vostok now thinking for this watch its great value for money

Well still, I wished that Vostok keep up with the modern days technology and improve their products. Anyways, thanks for watching 😎

Yup. The quality control is all over the place. Anyways, thanks for watching 😎
Thank you! Vostok - is the best! Respect from Russia!
Although, in my opinion, this is not the best dial design.
Well, there are so many design to choose from. But for me, this is one of the best. Anyways, thanks for watching 😎
Looks like the next Vostok watch I'll be getting!
Well, just be aware about the movement issues though. Thanks for watching 😎

Well yeah. The unique problems are something that I don’t really want to endure anymore. But kudos to you for having a good taste in watches.
Сам обладаю такими. Еще я прицепил редкий темно-синий безель.😎 Хорошо, что завод находится в моей стране и я заказывал часы по внутренней почте
It's very difficult to get one here in Malaysia. Anyways, thanks for watching 😎
