TRIP REPORT | Delta Airlines - A321 - New York (JFK) to Salt Lake City (SLC) | Economy

On September 19, I flew Delta Airlines to Sacramento through Salt Lake City.
This was my first time in Delta’s new A321, and I have to say it was pretty nice! The mood lighting, generous seat pitch, & IFEs were great!

Amazing I never ride on Airbus A321 but I ride on Delta Airlines love flying.
Yeah, Delta is amazing! Their A321s operate on high-pax / hub-hub routes a lot

Yeah same! The jetways are clear too, which gives nice views of the surrounding aircraft!
Favorite memory of JFK is the flight I was on to Japan, the takeoff was delayed while airport workers had to pick up Diamondback Terrapins off the runway and move them to safety.
I’ll be on an airbus a321 in about 3 weeks so it’d better be good. Looks like a pretty nice aircraft considering I’ve flown on mostly Boeing planes whenever I fly
Terminal 4 is pretty good. I live in NY and I’ve only been in T4 once but it’s pretty good. Restaurants, good amount of room, comfy seats.
Yeah! It's basically an international terminal but also for domestic flights!

Very neat flight dude! There is always nice views at JFK! And if I'm not mistaken I think when you were taking off I saw a VS 744 parked at the International Terminal!
I had to look up the VS 744/747-400 💡

Flying out of ATL on this 321 to Vegas looks like a great aircraft

I will say I am not a fan of the A321, but Delta did a great job outfitting theirs. Boeing better get their head outta their ass if they want to compete in the narrow body and shorter haul segments. The MAX (and 73NG) just isn’t a strong enough competitor.
nice and clean ... Delta has a large assortment of aircraft....types...no loo review :(....nice to look at all the different cloud layers....noticed how small windows are compaired to the 220...thanks for the trip Q....:)

@@QFSAviation Nice! Moved here from Jacksonville FL in August and I will say SLC has more destinations which is nice however JAX was definitely a nicer airport

Those are company phones were they do point of sales and customer assistance i.e. passenger connections etc.
So what did you think of the salt lake city airport especially with the new terminal construction that will be completed by 2020?
Last time I flew into JFK I ended up flying Delta in and out of Terminal 2, nowhere near as nice as T4. Seats were probably the same though, though the IFE seems to have improved since 2016, I flew on a 737-800, but in first which was pretty nice. Meals on both flights were some weird mexican fusion stuff, still reasonably tasty.

And the air traffic control tower is cool in the night with the lights.

They should change the mood lighting to purple to match the uniforms, or red to provide contrast to the blue seating. Blue on blue on blue on blue is a bit much.
When you put it that way it makes sense! Red would be hard on the eyes though, but purple also seems kind of dark.
QFS Aviation they had red and purple on VA though
0:31 I believe the A321 isn't Delta's newest aircraft. Their A350 and A220 are newer.

Wrong, he’s saying it’s new due to when it was manufactured. technically yes the 350 and 220 are “newer” as in their latest aircrafts to come out, but this 321 was built before them or could be the NEO which stands for next engine option which are the newest planes being built right now.
Maybe he means the newest A321 recently bought
