May I suggest you get some fancy business cards made up which explains you are a travel vlogger with a well-subscribed channel and you don't show fellow passenger's faces. Hand out these cards to cabin staff (when necessary), and I guarantee it will shut 90% of them up because it shows you were well pre-prepared and enhances the professional image. Aer Lingus looks good too. I have a good friend who suffered a severe stroke 20 years ago, which unfortunately makes him appear drunk (slurred speech, stumbling walk, a small swaying motion). Bar staff won't serve him, but he has this professional card which basically says he's not drunk and has had a stroke. Works 100% of the time.

Perfectly entitled to instruct you not to film. GDPR regulations in Europe now cover this kind of thing and as EI is a European airline and you were flying to Europe those rules apply. What about all the other passengers who may not want to be broadcast all over UA-cam? And if you call that rude you might want to toughen up a bit.

Aer Lingus have the same, it actually states it in the inflight magazing; "You are welcome to take photos or video of guests in your own travelling party for your own personal use however photos or video of airline personnel is strictly prohibited." It seems fair to me.
I travelled on Aer Lingus a lot as a child flying from New York to Shannon. There was something so comforting and friendly about the mostly female and entirely Irish flight crew. For an anxious flyer, the old Aer Lingus flight attendants were a welcome sight because their personality put you at ease. A flight to Ireland from New York was full of craic and banter. Now it's as dreary as every other airline. No personality. Many of the flight attendants aren't Irish. The use of the Irish language on the flight has diminished. The friendliness is gone. The airline has become generic.
I am new to your channel, so maybe I am missing something but didn't that flight attendant ask you not to record them. So you recorded them anyway? Why would you do that?
The prohibition of filming may represent a set back for these companies. How is it possible that they cannot understand the benefits that channels like yours would bring to them? On the other hand you see companies like ANA or Emirates calling some You Tubers to show their new products - and sometimes giving them free tickets for doing so! Difference is, Sam is usually invited by the airlines, he is too well known to blend in, every aircrew in the world is trained to recognize him and a few other of the top vloggers to ensure they get the absolute best service.
Sam Chui usually has prior permission or is invited by the airlines so they have already agreed. This video report literally zoomed in on a flight attendant while she serving another passenger, she appeared totally unaware this was happening and that's unacceptable.

I am legally blind and therefore need help getting to my seat and restroom, please tell me if you feel this airline would be a benefit for me to travel with. I've flown several American based airlines, and unfortunately, one has accommodated and offered to assist me and I find that so sad as I will never book with them again. Delta took very good care of me in every aspect. These professionals seem to have that same mentality. Thanks for the video! In Europe those people are very strict about filming just like Ireland Swiss air is strict i know people try to upload sportscenter highlights that were from Europe but their channel gets blocked because of its strict copyright guideline
initially I wanted to try out Aer Lingus in my next travels but until the part FA being all bossy, I decided not to. maybe I'll try another airline or stick to my usuals QR EK SQ and TK experience.
Shame how the attendant gave you a hard time about filming. Some people are really sensitive to that. I avoid filming crews but if I were an attendant being filmed, I’d try to look professional so that my company can get video evidence of my hard work. On other airlines the crews will be proud to show off their craft: namely attendants on Qatar Airways who nitpick about every micrometer of food placement among other stuff when they notice people are filming. They want their product to come across as stellar and inviting.
The only issue I have with Aer Lingus business is the coffin feel of the bed,. I like to bend my legs when lying on my side, but because of the way the feet area is so enclosed and quite tight, I can’t fit comfortable,that and tgecseat does give me backache

Hiya, I’m sorry about the crew! Remember to fill you feedback form so that the company know what staff aren’t living up to service standards. It was dealt with in an unprofessional way and we always try to show true Irish hospitality onboard as crew but she definitely didn’t.
13:45 I've been there. That's The Milwaukee Irish Fest that happens in August. I've gone there 3 times by taking Amtrak from Chicago to Milwaukee on The Amtrak Hiawatha. I mostly go there being not only I have Irish Blood in me but my favorite Irish Folk Group The High Kings go there. And yes I've met them it was a dream come true meeting one of them Finbarr Clancy the son of Bobby Clancy one of the famous Clancy Brothers.
Filming of staff and passengers is prohibited but I have taken loads of landings and take offs , some photos of myself in the seat all right. Flew business on Aer Lingus Dublin to JFK April 2022 and it was a great experience.
I find the Irish to be quite friendly and exceedingly polite in most cases, but they can also be very direct, almost like a parent, which can be interpreted by North Americans as rude. I agree that flight attendant could have handled it much better (especially to a business class passenger, to whom most airlines practically kowtow), but maybe she was having an off day, or maybe she was following the directions of her superiors. Though, as long as you were only recording yourself and not any personnel (until you did lol) or passengers, it does not appear that you were in violation of their rules. I would reach out to the airline and say something along the lines of "hey, this happened, I think it could have been handled better by your staff. I understand the rules regarding filming, etc., but incidents like this do not reflect very well on your airline".
It would be great if you also provide the name of each jet when you give the age and registration of the plane. E.g. EI-ASJ St. Colm Cille. It is fun to see the namesake of each airline’s plane.

I flew on Aer Lingus between JFK and SNN way back in February of 2001! At that time the JFK Terminal was very dark and dank! zMore like a Bus Terminal! We rode on an A-330. Full boat 🚢⛵! Arrived SNN at 0:700am local.
I hate when my co workers treat our quest rude. I have zero tolerance for negative flight attendants with shady attitude.but you did a awsome video and kudos for keeping your professionalism.
I was very surprised that the cabin crew would go to lengths of threatening you of arrest if you kept filming, normally the Aer Lingus crew are very nice, maybe that one lady had a bad day :D. Great review!

Did you think about writing a nice letter regarding the fact that you paid a higher price for the flight and the lounge at Kennedy Airport was very mediocre with the meals and even the look of it all. Did you fly back on Aer Lingus or you had a flight to catch for somewhere else in the European continent? The airline is so prim and proper and so modern and clean and efficient generally speaking. It seemed you had a great flight, with great food and comfort at 35,000 feet in the sky. How was the head phones they looked a little bit on the cheap quality side to me. The IFE did not look so great either. All the best young man. Keep making great videos with nice music relaxing not overpowering and describing everything without having to talk. the new look of Aer Lingus i'm not really a fan of either 2:51 ,and their design of the new look is not unique since a lot of airlines have that same look, however Aer Lingus is still one of my favourite, i just miss the all green which was unique..to me the amenity kit could have larger products in comparison to other airlines.. the meal service seemed rather small in terms of portions, but i like the ice-cream part...hehehe..rather good trip report..just one question..how old are you 16:21 you look like a teen and small hands...good video Quintin

I love aer lingus and their product but their flight attendants are incredibly disrespectful. I was on a flight from dublin to berlin and someone had the tray table down after the safety demo and she went up to him and said “you weren’t paying attention i see. Put the tray table up” and walked away. I was absolutely floored haha
The crew member wasn’t being rude, she wanted to know why he was filming, and said you can’t film the crew, nothing wrong with that, as crew myself I would have asked the same questions. Great vid by the way.
Don't care, she came off rude and very combative. That alone would be a turn off for me flying with a shitty crew. If you agree with her actions, I'd like to know what airline you are employed by so I can avoid it.
Great video, but as a cabin crew myself just note - there is nothing wrong making recordings like that but you need to have permission from Aer Lingus to do so prior to departure otherwise it is prohibited for security reasons of staff and other passengers.
What kind of security concerns could that be ? Are there probably some Mossad agents on board or are the Irish preparing to lauch an attac against Russia ? Cone on.....

I mostly go there being not only I have Irish Blood in me but my favorite Irish Folk Group The High Kings go there. And yes I've met them it was a dream come true meeting one of them Finbarr Clancy the son of Bobby Clancy one of the famous Clancy Brothers.
Why do Aer Lingus's flights out of JFK land so early in Ireland? Last time I went, we touched down in Shannon at 4.35AM. 🤔
Filming of staff and passengers is prohibited but I have taken loads of landings and take offs , some photos of myself in the seat all right. Flew business on Aer Lingus Dublin to JFK April 2022 and it was a great experience.
I find the Irish to be quite friendly and exceedingly polite in most cases, but they can also be very direct, almost like a parent, which can be interpreted by North Americans as rude. I agree that flight attendant could have handled it much better (especially to a business class passenger, to whom most airlines practically kowtow), but maybe she was having an off day, or maybe she was following the directions of her superiors. Though, as long as you were only recording yourself and not any personnel (until you did lol) or passengers, it does not appear that you were in violation of their rules. I would reach out to the airline and say something along the lines of "hey, this happened, I think it could have been handled better by your staff. I understand the rules regarding filming, etc., but incidents like this do not reflect very well on your airline".
It would be great if you also provide the name of each jet when you give the age and registration of the plane. E.g. EI-ASJ St. Colm Cille. It is fun to see the namesake of each airline’s plane.

I flew on Aer Lingus between JFK and SNN way back in February of 2001! At that time the JFK Terminal was very dark and dank! zMore like a Bus Terminal! We rode on an A-330. Full boat 🚢⛵! Arrived SNN at 0:700am local.
No talking, pure aviation.

A very nice video from the beginning to arriving in Dublin, Ireland, Europe. Thank you for sharing this with all of us "UA-camrs". Did you think about writing a nice letter regarding the fact that you paid a higher price for the flight and the lounge at Kennedy Airport was very mediocre with the meals and even the look of it all. Did you fly back on Aer Lingus or you had a flight to catch for somewhere else in the European continent? The airline is so prim and proper and so modern and clean and efficient generally speaking. It seemed you had a great flight, with great food and comfort at 35,000 feet in the sky. How was the head phones they looked a little bit on the cheap quality side to me. The IFE did not look so great either. All the best young man. Keep making great videos with nice music relaxing not overpowering and describing everything without having to talk. I did not get the impression that the vlogger was intentionally and entitledly filming the crew. it is one thing to courteously tell a passenger to PLEASE not film crew or passengers, it is totally another thing to THREATEN a passenger... and i did not say the crew were discourteous; i said they could have been MORE courteous... So, no, mate. It is you who need to EDUCATE yourself...

the new look of Aer Lingus i'm not really a fan of either 2:51 ,and their design of the new look is not unique since a lot of airlines have that same look, however Aer Lingus is still one of my favourite, i just miss the all green which was unique..to me the amenity kit could have larger products in comparison to other airlines.. the meal service seemed rather small in terms of portions, but i like the ice-cream part...hehehe..rather good trip report..just one question..how old are you 16:21 you look like a teen and small hands...good video Quintin

Cool i departed from terminal 5 a few months ago to go to from new york to orlando florida and back using the same airline. Jetblue! Their good just delays sucks!

I love aer lingus and their product but their flight attendants are incredibly disrespectful. I was on a flight from dublin to berlin and someone had the tray table down after the safety demo and she went up to him and said “you weren’t paying attention i see. Put the tray table up” and walked away. I was absolutely floored haha
Well, he wasn't was he? That table could have delayed passengers in an evacuation.

Don't care, she came off rude and very combative. That alone would be a turn off for me flying with a shitty crew. If you agree with her actions, I'd like to know what airline you are employed by so I can avoid it.
The 757 dosent have a livery design from what I heard.
Great video, but as a cabin crew myself just note - there is nothing wrong making recordings like that but you need to have permission from Aer Lingus to do so prior to departure otherwise it is prohibited for security reasons of staff and other passengers.
What kind of security concerns could that be ?

By the look of the last clip of taxiing in Dublin, you left the camera on a low FPS from the night flying sped up, I feel your pain and have often left my camera in the wrong setting.
