Or if you look at any news article about Utley, no one writes about him being a dirty player. Again, now, what is the difference between Utley and Machado.....hmmm.....I can't figure it out. Can you help me?
Was Machado responding to how they were throwing at him? Then, yes, that is the proper response. Again, if he was anyone else you would probably be like, "He has a ball coming 90 MPH at his head, of course that's his response." But, because it's Machado, it's not ok.

"Who cares?" And then you answered you own question right after. Perdomo cared and he made sure Machado cared too. The reason pitchers hit other players on the team is with the intent that the hit player will go to the other player and say "hey, stop pimping meaningless home runs, man, I'm tired of being hit". Same reason they hit star players when the non-star pimps a meaningless home run.

This is what one aspect of baseball that I think is absolutely pathetic. I don't give a fucking shit if it's part of the game. You take away home plate collisions because of buster Posey you take away takeout slides because of the Mets player and Chase Utley and I realized it can be difficult to know a hundred percent if someone did something on purpose although most major league pitchers are capable of putting a 98 mph fastball right into the glove and if you're missing by three and a half feet more often than not it's intentional. They may not try to hit someone in the head or whatever but it's not a common occurrence that a fastball mrs. By that much at that level. But we're talkin about guys that throw 93 + miles an hour. It's not just the head that's a risk. It can hit the hand and break the handle and hit the wrist and break the rest they can hit you in the head and caused severe concussions which can cause permanent long-term damage it can hit the knee or the foot and cause issues that can break a rib I mean this could be potentially career-ending if it hits someone in the wrong spot. It can be potentially deadly if it had someone in the wrong spot. I mean I don't expect it to kill anyone it hasn't happened in the days of the helmet but it has absolutely caused long-term damage to people and affected careers. Stanton got teeth knocked out and his jaw broken. And more often than not the reason for this is fucking pathetic. Oh this guy looked at a home run too long I'm going to intentionally hit someone else to make up for it. Oh this guy flipped his bat too high I'm going to throw at him intentionally. Or even worse, this guy has really good numbers at me so I'm going to intentionally try and hurt him. Major League baseball pitchers are some of the most emotionally fragile human beings on the planet. especially Madison bumgarner. Imagine if a hitter threw the bat because someone had good numbers off of him. They need to start coming down really fucking hard on these guys. This is someone's livelihood and someone's life long-term. I was a catcher for 15 years and got leveled behind home plate numerous times. I would never have wanted that banned but there needs to be some severe penalties for intentionally hitting players. Something like this, suspend them for the entire season. This is so blatantly obvious that it was intentional. Fucking pathetic
