The quality of this video is absolutely amazing. Very descriptive and precise breakdown on the new Stream Deck Power-ups. With video production like this, I have no doubt that your channel will grow exponentially. Keep up the great work!!
Rodecaster as i need multiple mic inputs and I prefer to have an hardware like the RC that can handle real time processing onboard. Less stressing for the PC =)
hey 👋 I use a Sony Zv-e1 and a Sony GM 24mm f1.4. all recorded in slog3 and coloured in post. I would like to see If I can do the same setup with the new zve10 +sigma 16mm
Awesome video.. i just ordered this and also use the Shure microphone. Curious which plugins you are using for the mic. Also do you have a video that goes into how you configured your mic settings with the new dock. Appreciate it
Great video! Thank you! I am still debating if I am going to use the XLR extension or the USB one. Honestly it seems like that the USB Mic is just as good as the XLR with the Wavelink software. I bought both extension but thinking returning the XLR one.
Thanks! If It can help I’m going with the USB dock. I really need it. The XLR dock is good but if you have a Usb mic and you like the sound of it you simply don’t need it.
I didn't really hear much of a difference in the sound but im glad you did a compare between the 2 as i know people would be curious about this great job man. i do think elgato missed the makret on making a dual pc setup possiblity with the this new addon but it is what it is. ill probably be picking up both addons and a extra stream deck plus to utilize everything
Thanks man! Well, it's really hard to tell the difference to be completely honest. The noise you get in the headphones when using the xlr dock is more noticeable and annoys me a bit but for the rest pretty much the same audio for UA-cam videos and live streams. Sure, I could add tons of effects and get a better sound, but it is very subjective. Btw yes! They really need to throw out a mixer like the goxlr with faders and larger smart buttons for dual pc setups and more scenarios.
Hello, I have a problem that no one is talking about. I had 2 calls today with Elgato tech support and they could not help me. My setup is the Elgato Prompter, Facecam Pro 4K, Wavelink Software, Elgato Stream Deck Plus and I also used a Black edition of the Blue Yeti and downloaded OBS and nothing helped. My video looked terrible. It was as if I had AC running and I definitely did not. I also downloaded the Elgato plugin that is supposed to stop clipping and background noise and it did not help. The whole set up is counterintuitive and seems outdated and difficult to use. I would really appreciate and help and suggestions that you could give me. Thanks in advance.
Hi Lenny, I’ll get back to you here. So, you mentioned that the video looked terrible, but I think you’re referring to the audio. Please let me know if it’s both. Regarding the audio, the Blue Yeti can be a bit tricky. My suggestion is to set the mic’s gain to around 15-20% on the dial. Keep the mic slightly at a 45-degree angle, 2/3 fists away from the mouth. On Wave Link, you can add effects. My recommendation is to start with just two effects: a noise gate (like the one you can download from the Elgato Marketplace) and an Elgato compressor. Don’t worry about adding EQ or other effects at first. Start simple to see if we can eliminate the clipping issue. It could also be an issue with the microphone. If you can, try using another cheap microphone to see if you have the same problem (the AC noise).
@@Lochlens No the entire video was looking bad. I have used the Blue Yeti (Black Edition on it's own stand) with Zoom and never had such a problem. Someone else told me that OBS and Wavelink software don't play well together, which is easy to believe from my experience with them. Thank you for taking the time to try and help me.
Absolutely not the way you use a mic, agreed🎤 I’ll try with the sm7b big windshield über alles and a 45 degree angle and see if it works better (usually not for me, I move way too much)
Yeah haha! I started this channel for fun with no commitment in Italian. After I got the elgato prompter I said to myself: Let’s try to do some video in English and see how viewers react. Now it’s actually more enjoyable than my first channel 😂
We are on the same boat. I really love to have faders and built in effects. On mac I’m not using as much virtual channels but if you pair the rcp with the streamdeck+ you get basically 9 more virtual tracks xD
@@Lochlens we just need a Stream Deck plugin for Unify. I like Wave Link but being to record and edit with Unify is nice, plus having 5 output mixes is nice 😊.
Bro this channel is amazing how do you not even have 200 subs we need more people like you humble, smart, and not boring God Bless yo
Thanks a lot! Just me having fun talking about stuff I have and I like 👍🏻
Your Setup is a Statement of taste
I wanted something minimal tbh but stil I feel that something is missing :)
@@Lochlens maybe some tiny plants or MEGAZORD 😄
@@auroraflash haha yeah! I'll probably add something along the way!

Thank you 🙏 I really mean it. I was always scared of making video in English and the feedback I’m getting from ppl and other creators is amazing!
I really enjoyed and needed this video, thank you! This video is phenomenal! I am suprised you don't have more subscribers!
Thanks a lot Mickey! just started 😁 thanks for the support!
Bro keep the good work. Love the quality. Looking forward to your growth.
Man! thanks so much! 🔥
This is pretty cool what I am wondering is can you still tap the back to mute or is that gone? I haven’t heard anybody talk about it just curious.
hI 👋 no they removed it from here. i miss the front wheel and tap to mute
which one did you end up keeping ? Rodecaster or XLR Dock

What is your camera and lens setup brother?
@lochlens??

Great review! Thinking if I really need the usb hub or not. Gained a sub nonetheless
thanks! If you struggle with 2.0 speed and you want more 3.0 I highly recommend this.

Hey! Thanks. You are not the first one asking. I'll do my best to make a video about my setting in wave link!
I totally thought this was a Steam Deck Uninterruptible Power Supply Dock lmao.
It would be sick 😂😂

Best mikes don't eliminate plosives, apparently, (except if used correctly, of course) ... ;-)

thanks, personally I love the rodecaster duo, that’s what I use. there are a lot of valid options, what’s your budget?
@@Lochlens need to use it for streaming, I don't dare buy a goxlr, so I don't know anymore. I have looked BRIDGE CAST X . rode streamer x . elgato xlr
I hit the like button like 20 times, but your English only got like 1 time better!!! Oh well, I'll keep checking back in to see how it's going. LOL
I honestly think that is a bug that UA-cam should be able to fix. thank for your preciousss feedback.
(thanks ❤️ 😂)
why did you stop making videos for a year? this is top tier
